To celebrate, I'll let you know just how bad Cherry Magic really influenced me. I literally designed a fit based off of Adachi, the main character. I don't think the tones are quite the same but it's a really good suit and tie set to take inspiration from. I doubt anyone at work knows that once a week I vibe-cosplay a telepathic uke.

The Life and Times of Ed (First Story, Comedic/Gag)
Ed couldnāt believe his luck. He was with company he never expected to have, at a place he never expected to be. The concert in Bone Square. A ruckus of punk rock bands competing to see who could shriek the most offensive lyrics and slam the most obnoxious guitar chords. Certainly not the scene for a corporate busybody like himself. But he was here. He was here for his co-worker. And his co-worker was passed out in the green room, on his lap of all wonderful places.Ā
āOh, Checkers,ā Ed mused, petting his co-workerās hair. My Checkers.Ā
Heād been noticing Checkers more as of late. And Checkers noticed Ed in the crowd, almost immediately when he went on to kick tail on that bass guitar of his. It was honestly quite cute how flustered he got over that instrument. He was an exceptional player yet it seemed he was self-conscious all the same. āEveryone swoons over the lead guitarists,ā he told Ed before all those rum slushies introduced him to the Sandman. Well, Ed thought as he stroked his co-workerās hair, that idiot mustnāt have been paying much attention! Iāve been swooning over him the moment he spotted me from the stage.Ā
This was one of the two problems troubling Ed this evening. Between the meetings and the paperwork, when he had the free time to dwell on the matter, Ed had his suspicions. Wasnāt a girlfriend supposed to materialize at his side at some point? It never happened. What did the kids call not having interest in anyone? An ace? Or was that a flush? He didnāt know cards any better than he did feelings. But there was no denying it now. He had feelings for Checkers and he didnāt know what to do about that. Worse yet, and far more immediate, was the second problem.
Damn it, Ed thought, I really gotta use the bathroom.Ā
Life had a way of keeping Ed on his toes. Or in this case, his behind pinned to the couch. The weight of Checkersā passed out body was too much for Ed to pick up off of him. It occurred to him heād considered going to the gym before. It also occurred to him that thought was filed away three years ago. There was no getting up.
āEven when weāre not at work,ā Ed muttered, his fingers trailing through the soft hair on the back of Checkersā heavy head, āyou still find a way to be a pain in my ass.ā He grabbed a chunk of hair then. Checkers kept on snoring.Ā
Even his snoring is cute. God, I really hate this guy. Meanwhile, Ed could feel the flutter in his heart telling him, āOh really, mister? Is that what weāre feeling right now?ā There was a lot more than his cute co-worker in his lap to ponder. What did it mean to like guys? Why Checkers? Sure, Ed thought, Iāve always admired handsome men but thatās not like it meant I was-
The door slammed open. Ed cried out, āEeh!ā Checkers continued to snore. āW-wait,ā Ed stammered, his heart now switching gears from a flutter to a proper heart attack, āthis isnāt what it looks like, really. I-I can explain!āĀ
A pair of security guards from the venue stormed into the room. The third guard, the senior most one who stayed in the back, spoke with a gruff tone, āThereās no time to explain. Getāem up already, boys.ā
The guards, notably without much struggle, maneuvered Checkers off of Ed and left him sleeping peacefully on the couch. Ed was sure but he mightāve heard him mutter, āNo, no, my boss said he would pay for it.ā
Ed gulped. He knew he was paying for it now. Sneaking into the green room for his friend to crash? Oh sure, Checkers played on stage, and boy did he play well, but this mustāve been trespassing at this point, āPlease,ā Ed said as the guards pulled him away from the couch, āI didnāt mean to cause any trouble.āĀ
How much did they see? Donāt tell me they saw me fondling up a storm with my co-workerās hair! Already Ed could envision himself behind bars. A neon sign above his cage reading, āPervert!ā And there in the back, Checkers looking away in shame, āI always knew that guy was a creep.ā
āWhat are you talking about?ā The senior guard asked. āThe trouble is outside.ā
That snapped Ed back to the present, āOutside?ā
The guards let go of Edās arms and the senior nodded, āYup. Got us an altercation. Like every concert. Itās looking like itās about to turn ugly too.ā
āRight,ā Ed said. āWhy exactly are you telling me?ā
āWell,ā the senior snorted, āearlier you made Lou, the guard at the door, run off. Something about his job being easy and you being able to do it better.ā
āWhat!?ā Ed cried. āEh, yes, itās true we spoke and he ran off but I never said I could do his job!ā
āWe got it on camera.ā
Got what on camera!? āI never said that!ā
One of the other guards crossed his arms, āLou was a legend.ā
āHe ran off crying!ā
āLook,ā the senior guard said, āI donāt know what words mightāve been exchanged or why you would choose to belittle a working man like that.ā Ed tried to insist again he didnāt but he was ignored by the senior, āWhat I do know is that thereās two angry fellas in the plaza. Theyāre about to go at it and since you made Lou run off, well, the way I see it is youāre the man for the job.ā
āThat canāt be how this works,ā Ed said, āyou guys are security and youāre nominating me to get between two angry men? This canāt be legal.ā
The senior shrugged, āI donāt think it is, no.āĀ
Ed looked at the guards and initiated an awkward pause. The guards stared back, expectantly. Checkers was still on the couch, sleeping. Edās legs ached. He really had to use the bathroom.Ā
It wouldāve been nice to process his feelings. After all, realizing you like someone, another guy, it sort of demands a couple minutes to address. But such was Edās life. Standing in the open and cold air of Bone Square. Two drunks about to poke holes into each other. And somehow Ed, with a bladder begging him to hurry, had to resolve it.
āOf course one of them is Randy,ā Ed grumbled.
Randy was the lead guitarist in Checkersā band. The one who made Checkers feel self-conscious about āonlyā playing bass. That bastard, Ed cursed, thatās the worst part about him. He made my Checkers think he wasnāt awesome out there. Ed paused. That sort of thought was one he really wanted to unpack. Unfortunately, the guards were egging him on.
Ā āGo on, show us how easy it is!ā
āIām 5ā7,ā Ed cried, āwhat do you expect me to do!?ā
āI wouldāve guessed 5ā5,ā one of the guards mumbled.
Ed wouldāve happily argued with them were it not for natureās call twisting the knife in his guts. Speaking of twisting the knife, the other delinquent flashed theirās. āLook what I got,ā the punk, who sported two mohawks and a kilt, said, āIām gonna spell my name in your chest with this! P.E.T.R.ā
āT.E.R.,ā corrected a petite young goth from the side.
āAh,ā Peter wagged the knife at his goth companion, āthatās a good point.ā
The goth groaned, āOh my G-o-o-o-d.ā
Oh my God, Ed thought, they really want me to get between a drunken guitarist and a guy with a knife? Ed turned back to the guards who by all right shouldāve handled the matter five minutes ago. They simply nodded before Ed could even ask if they were serious about all this.
āCome at me, chomsky,ā Randy yelled back at Peter. āWhen this is over Iāll have you hung out by that dress!ā
āItās not a dress, itās a kilt!āĀ
Come on, Ed. Youāre a manager. Itās literally your job to manage idiots like this. Remember that time you convinced Lisa and Jane to put aside their differences by having them stop talking to each other? This is exactly like that! Now get on with this so you can find a bathroom already!Ā
āAlright, here goes nothingā¦ā Ed went to fix his tie, remembered he didnāt put one on tonight as public concerts were at least business casual, and stepped forward between the two drunks. āGentlemen, please, thereās no reason for this to escalate any further than-ā
āOh great,ā Randy spat, āthis asshole again. Go back to your job, Eddy. Go job away from here.ā
āFirst of all, my name is Ed. Second, Iām only here to suggest the two of you walk away. Iām sure whatever the drama was, itās not worth throwing your lives away.ā
āYes, it is,ā Randy said. āHe said I played my solo off-key!ā
āYou did play it off-key!ā Peter yelled. āLegacyās best song and you fudged it!ā
āIāll fudge you up,ā Randy said.Ā
Great, theyāre even more fired up than before. Ed considered how to deescalate the situation. He found himself glancing toward Randy. What a pain in my back end. When I first saw Mr. Big Shot here I almost thought he was Checkersā man.
Checkers, Ed thought. Does Checkers even swing like that? Am I certain I swing like that? All these damn feelings! Talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard place! I need to resolve this mess already. If I do thatā¦wellā¦I can get back to my Checkers.
āAlright,ā Ed said, with an extra pinch of authority. āRandy, as youāll remember, I bought your drinks earlier this evening. So if you wouldnāt mind, you can pay me back by dropping this whole fight and walking away.ā
āWhatās wrong with you?ā Randy snapped. āIf you say the drinks were on you then you donāt turn around saying I owe you.ā
Ungrateful jerk! Checkers would listen to me in his shoes. I mean, heād have to because Iām his boss but heād still find reason sooner than this dick!Ā
Ed rubbed his chin as an idea took hold. Wait a second. Back at the office, Iām the boss. So maybe the trick isnāt reason but simply laying down the law!Ā
A sly smile came to Ed before he addressed Randy with a stern voice, āThatās enough, Randy. I already asked you nicely to back off. Now Iām telling you to walk away.ā And now for the coup de grĆ¢ce! āThatās an order!āĀ
Randy blinked. All of Bone Square became silent. Until the guitarist found his voice, āWoahā¦are you singling me out because Iām hispanic?ā
āWhat? No, I-ā
āYou are,ā Randy yelled, āI donāt see you giving the business to the other guy!ā
āI donāt know the other guy!ā Ed cried.
āSo that gives you the right to boss me around, huh?ā Randy spat once more. He adjusted his leather jacket, a striking look of sobriety now on his face. āAll because my last name is Rodriguez.ā
āI didnāt know your last name!ā
āThe hell, man!?ā To Edās surprise, it was Peterās voice. āSo you canāt even, like, perceive him!?ā
āI literally didnāt know his name,ā Ed said.
āWhat next?ā Peter asked. āYou think itās weird thereās taco stands in Bone Square?ā
āIt is weird thereās this many in the same place,ā Ed said, a coat of sweat now forming on his forehead. āThat much competition in the same market would drive prices down. If some specād into other ethnic food theyād fill a different niche, thatās just common sense for a business to operate by!ā
Peter shook his head, āDamn, youāre a chud, man.ā Peter put away the knife and linked up with Randy. āA total chud.ā The two walked off, concerningly in the direction of a bar, as if they werenāt moments ago threatening to kill one another. The goth from earlier joined them.
Ed let out a sigh, āWhy am I always the bad guy? Well, whatever! The situation is resolved.ā
āYeah, not quite,ā the senior guard said as he approached Ed. āI heard you say you bought the drinks for the guy in the leather jacket.āĀ
Ed shrugged, āWell, I may have given a hundred to the bar. It wasnāt my idea to-ā
āGrabāem, boys,ā the senior said. The other guards hooked their arms around Ed. He let out a pitiful yelp while the senior set his arms akimbo, āWe got an ordinance at this venue. Reckless enablement.ā
āBut I resolved it!āĀ
āAnd youāre still a son of a gun. You make me sick, in fact! Might be the weaselly face. Anywho, since you filled the tap for all that trouble I figure you can spend a night in the brig while I write up the fine for the disturbance.ā
For a moment, Ed struggled with the guards. Then he recalled neglecting to ever visit the gym. The guards dragged him back inside and there at the door he spotted Checkers, sluggish but very much awake. Oh perfect.Ā
āEd?ā He asked. āWhat did you do?ā
Ed flushed upon being noticed by his inebriated co-worker, āI did warn you, Checkers. Iām a regular party animal!ā When he was shoved around the corner and out of sight from the man heād spend the rest of the evening thinking about, Ed asked, āCan I at least use the bathroom first?ā
The senior thought it over. āNo.ā
They closed the door behind themselves. Ed sank to the floor. At the very least, it didnāt say āPervertā above his cell.Ā
I can't find it but I swear I saw a post where someone said they were so obsessed with Gideon that when they tripped and hit their knee they said "Ow my Gideon."

You know what? Fug it. mpreg isn't my scene but I envision my setting having a lot of cool biopunk-esque advancements so it would be a thing. Same thing with transitioning, there'd just be pills (or black market clinics) that sees it all done through the wonders of bioengineering. This is literally how we got the neko tsundere audio.
Frighteningly, wendigo doesn't know about any of this. He just wants to try really really really hard at it.

No existing names for those guys at this time. I usually figure out the pet names once I get into the script. So when I find out, won't be too long after when you find out lol
this might be a silly question but i need to know ever since the basil audio first came out i was wondering at the end hes like "we can just adop" tf does he mean by that is he just gonna steal some child? are there adoption agencies for crypteds? tf are his plans

I did! The idea was he was wearing chains or carrying some keys around. I also thought it would help designate the listener when they were speaking.
I find the thought mildly amusing, are any of the characters colorblind / color impaired ? I started drawing em and wondered if any were also color blind, personally I'm slightly colorblind had to be nerfed somehow
There's a genuine argument to be made that the wendigo might see colors differently. Humans can see more shades of green than any color for predator detection. Wendigos (I would sincerely hope) probably don't have predators to look out for and might see duller or at least different shades of color. He obviously has a better sense of smell to carry him.
Hey Clutz, I've loved your videos since your first post and I think your story telling is amazing and gotten really invested in the overall plot.

I generally imagine they're all 20-something. Gideon though would be in his 30s. Whether early or late 30s I'll leave that to head canon.
The youngest and the oldest is both the fruity ghost. I feel like he died young, probably before he was old enough to drink, and he's been dead for a while. Basil probably isn't too old despite being supernatural. Aah! I don't like talking about these particular characters because they only have one audio lol. Feel like I gotta make more audios or something to talk about them more. One day!

Daughter...thought her...thought of? Did you mean thought of?
That's a good catch though, I think Gideon looks at his listener as something like an orphan. Make of that as you will.
So why did Jessica switch jobs i thought it was to escape from Gideon but batty is just as worse was the pay better? And if it was why didn't dollface go with Jessica? (also the canon design for Jessica is so freaking cute and she deserves the WORLD)
Batty is more unhinged but Gideon is more menacing to be around. It's like do you want to be cursed at by a guy who'll get distracted and curse about something else five minutes later or work for a guy who'll make threatening remarks and isn't ever going to forget you were late with his coffee?
He did offer better better pay though. He doesn't know about Gideon's assistant yet. Would our dear dollface leave Gideon for a higher pay offered elsewhere? That's the great question, isn't it?
Are there any Canon looks for the listeners ? Like ik we can kinda imagine em however but how do you view em ? A few characters have descriptions like Checkers is scene ? ( or like alternative in some way I donno I assumed scene )
You're meant to imagine yourself however you want in the audios, I try to keep it vague when I can. Checkers is the exception because he's a character already half-formed in my mind but even then I want the listener to fit as much as they can into his mold. He's a special boy because he's got extra established traits and background. But like if you're chubby then Checkers can be chubby, it's no big deal, the characters are into you however you want to look.
This is roughly what I imagine Checkers might look like. One day I will write the yaoi. But for now picture him/yourself how you will.
