Hi there! Thirsty Thursday request for realizing the reason your back hurts is because Clyde just railed you *that* good.

You just know this is canon.

He’s downing apple juice straight from the carton when he sees you.

Walking like a baby bird; face scrunched as your nails dig into the kitchen counter. There’s a warmth in your cheeks he can’t quite place - something of an almost-laugh, disbelieving as you reach the metal sink.

Clyde sets the carton down and whisks over to you - hand supporting yours, face creased in worry.

“Darlin’? You okay?”

He splays his metal prosthetic on the small of your back; helping you straighten as you lean into him for support.

What he doesn’t expect - really, truly doesn’t expect - is for you to start laughing.

“My back and thighs hurt like an absolute bitch,” you shake your head, chest rumbling with a soft chuckle. “I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck.”

“What’d you do?” he asks, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.

You start laughing even harder.

“What’d I do?! What’d you do!” 

Oh.

OH.

Clyde feels his heart tug as a blush covers his cheeks; eyes widening in realisation.

“Shit.”

You nod, grinning.

“That last part with the headboard was really something.”

Clyde steps away, blush now rising all the way up his neck as he tries to hide his face in his hands, turning to face the fridge.

“No! Don’t get all nervous!” you follow him, reaching up on your tiptoes to smother his hands and cheek in little warm kisses. “You’re too cute when you do this! My fragile heart can’t take it!”

He just loves you so damned much.
