Lily sighed, “Fair enough, our last names have a bit of a different weight to them so I get what you mean.” She shrugged. “Plus I think you actually enjoy teaching sometimes. Not right now but I’ve heard from a few of the other professors that kids seem to actually enjoy your class so.” The red head smirked. “So that’s another good reason not to quit.”

“Darling, not everyone thinks about that name weight,” she smirked. “I just never wanted to be the socialite who doesn’t work because she’s living off her family. And for some reason, despite having two waiting for me at home, I actually like working with the little demons. Speaking of my demons,” she looked at her completely serious. “I need you to help me not murder our fathers at their party. I’m 99 percent positive my child is getting a horse.”

Lily shrugged. “it’s a thing for rich people- which we are.” She pointed out. “I mean I barely have a job myself. It’s more of a hobby.”

“Yeah,” Cassie mused, before shaking her head. “I never really wanted to be that living off my last name thing, though.”

“Why is every event we throw or go to followed by me knowing I’m going to spend nine weeks getting the glitter out of Ilsa’s hair,” Cassie deadpanned, looking from her boyfriend to their daughter and back again. “You know no amount of magic is getting that out.” ; @accioavocados

“Why not? The kids and the puffskeins love it,” Hugo protested as his arms wrapped around his girlfriend and he looked at her with a pout. “It’s smart, not ridiculous. At least I’m not shooting them up in the air like someone else,” he hummed and gave her a look at the horse remark. “You take that back. I cannot deal with a horse right now. It’s gotta stay there so that they can get full responsibility for their stupid old man decisions.”

“Again, you better be glad you’re cute.” Cassie slid her arms around his waist and smirked. “I told him if he does it, it’s going to the Manor.” She rested her head on him and looked over at their kids playing. “I’m happy for him, though. It was weird at first, but honestly this is the happiest I think I’ve ever seen him.” And after everything he’d been through, there wasn’t really anyone else she thought deserved that. “Oh.” She looked up at him. “Dylan and Emmett are having twins. He told me through a text. I’m basically his sister and I was told through a text.”

Lily laughed, “I mean- how bad can it really be?” She said picking up one of the essays off of the table. She stared at it for a few moments. “Okay I’m not even sure if that one was completely written in English so, I’m sorry. Have you considered an early retirement?”

“Bad. They don’t listen. At all.” Cassie snorted and looked up at her. “Retirement at 30 sounds a little extreme. I’m not even sure if that’s ever been a thing for anyone.”

As soon as she heard the news, Marcie basically abandoned her husband in the greenhouses and ran as fast as her heels allowed her towards the dungeons, and more precisely the Potions classroom. “Sorry!” she called out once she nearly collided with McGonagall. She quickly made sure that the older woman was okay before jetting off again. “Cass!” she called out as she burst through her office door. “What the fuck? Did you know?” @cmvlfoy

Cassie was pouting at her phone when Marcie came in, but she gave her best friend a look at the outburst. “I’m glad I didn’t have kids in here.” But the pout was back on her face soon after that. “No. Not until five minutes ago. I’m torn between crying and wanting to smack him for telling us via text.”

“Please remind me I can survive three more months until summer,” she pushed the pile of essays away from her. “Because I’m about to lose it.”

Hugo was outside with their kids, figuring out that a bunch of puffskeins, a toddler and a preschooler weren’t the best mix inside. He grinned when the creatures and Luci quickly became friends. “Heyyyyy!” he beamed up at his girlfriend and stood up to press a kiss to her cheek. “Babe, I’m a genius. They’re cute and cuddly and we can use them as baby quaffles! Definitely safer than the normal ones,” he added, clearly proud of himself.

“You did not just say you were using those as baby quaffles,” Cassie deadpanned, just looking at her boyfriend. “God, you better be glad you’re cute.” She rolled her eyes, but was also fighting back a smirk when she leaned up to kiss him. “You’re ridiculous.” Cassie looped her arms around Hugo’s waist and looked back at their son and daughter. “Maybe it’ll distract her from my dad and Harry saying they’d get her a horse.” She let out a breath. “Probably not.”

“What am I looking at?” Cassie just looked at their son giggling in a pile of fur, that she later saw to be puffskeins. She turned her gaze to her boyfriend. “Hugo, no.”

♕ — Rose narrowed her eyes as she thought over her answer and then nodded her head. “With our luck, they probably will,” she said with a hint of a chuckle. With Cassie’s head on her shoulder, Rose rested her cheek against the top of Cassie’s head and pulled the blanket that she had brought with her over both their laps. “It definitely feels a lot longer when you’re not the one playing, but the other team is getting slaughtered. They can’t seem to defend themselves against our chasers.”

“Maybe if it didn’t feel like we were having a picnic in Alaska.” She let out a breath. “But probably. I’d fake sick, but Hugo would have a heart attack because apparently every time I say that now people think I’m pregnant.” Cassie scrunched her nose and pulled the blanket over her. “They are doing good, though.” Her gaze fell towards where her grandparents were sitting to make sure the kids hadn’t strayed away from Lucius. Seeing they hadn’t, Cassie turned her attention back to the game and nodded towards the field, smirking. “You two seem like you’re doing good this time around.”

“Not a chance. I hate paperwork. That’s exactly why the only class i’ll teach is Flying. No paperwork.” Ginny leaned against the others desk. “Why don’t you get an intern to grade them? There’s got to be some OWL student who wants the extra credit.”

“Hm?” Cassie looked up at the sound of her voice. “Oh. No, it’s fine. I’d rather do it myself than an intern.” She looked down at the essays and shrugged. “It’s just a lot. My third years are struggling for some reason.

“Even if I weren’t rich there would not be enough money in your bank account to make me want to willingly grade more.” Tobias shook his head. “I’m here to take a break because one of my kids wrote an essay about the muggle saying ‘boys go to Jupiter to get more stupider.’ and I actually pictured myself pushing them off the astronomy tower next class.”

Cassie snorted and looked at him. “Okay. Fair. I think you beat me.” She smirked and turned back to her pile of essays, finishing the one she’d been working on. “I feel like I’m going to have to do some kind of tutoring after class with these kids and I hate myself for it.” She wrinkled her nose. “Why did we want to come back to this again?”

“If we snuck out, do you think they’d notice?” Cassie questioned, climbing down the bleacher steps to where Rose was sitting. She left the kids in her grandfathers’ box since neither of them seemed to keen on leaving Lucius. She dropped down in the seat beside Rose and pouted, putting her head on her shoulder. She loved the game when she played, but she felt like they’d been here for hours. “This game’s never-ending. I’m about to fly out there and get the damn snitch myself.” ; @byanyothernxme
