“ryder. that’s a cool name..” good god, she shouldn’t be allowed to flirt. storm had liked girls since she could remember, had she ever actually BEEN with one? nope. she’d dated girls, had a few kisses, but never gotten down to anything else. mostly because she had gotten nervous just like any other person in a relationship, it didn’t mean she didn’t want to try things though she just hoped at some point the right person would make her feel at ease. “yeah sure, thankyou. i’ll have a vodka and cranberry.” 

ryder nodded, leaning over towards the bartender and then he was off to get their drinks. “what’s a girl like you doing here alone?” she questioned, wondering really how she already wasn’t scooped up by anyone at this club. not that the other knew, but she ran this club. not that she was the physical owner, but she made the money come. she smirked as the drinks were placed in front of them looking over at the girl. holding her glass up she clinked it against the other, “to a fun night?”

gabe hated going out, not that he didn’t have friends but the boy was always on the more shy side. halloween parties always were the same thing, a bunch of drunks in short skirts and overly muscled guys. he liked the girl, so maybe goning was his only way to spend more time with her. “ugh...i mean...how long are we talking?? like 2 hours??? because if it’s more than that...” she fumbled over his words a little.

storm hadn’t been out for a drink in a while, she’d been so busy with work she’d forgotten what having a good time was. it wasn’t until her best friend dragged her out with afew other people she knew that she decided to give it a go, despite the fact soberly, she was an awkward human being especially with someone so attractive opposite her. being introduced to ryder she nodded a little with a small smile. “nice to meet you, i’m storm.” @cnedance

ryder was in the vip section like most saturday nights, her job made her be there. if anyone needed a plug she was the one to look for. leaning her ear down as one of her friends came over, she smirked looking across the room she see a blonde. she had never seen her before, yet...the instant ryder spotted her she was interested. she headed down to the main level, following her friend to be introduced. once she got there, she got close enough to hear the other, “nice to meet you,” she leaned against the side of the bar, “i’m ryder....can i buy you a drink?”

the boy shrugged, laughing off the little bit of pain that he felt from her wrapping the bandage, “i dunno...maybe you go out every night and i manage to not run into you!” bryson thought really highly of the girl. not only for all the hard work she did, but just how she valued herself. it was a turn on and probably why he found her so attractive. “yeah but you also have to take care of yourself!” he knew he was done for the day so he licked his lips and suggested, “how about...when you get off, i take you to this spot around the corner for some ...late dinner. or early breakfast! they serve both.”

“ what happened this time? “ by now she wasn’t surprised to see his face in the emergency room anymore. it started with the big fire and then it was one small thing after the other. all the other nurses around her was mentioning how often he had come to see her now but she always brushed it off. if he was hurt then she would try to fix it. “ let me take a look at it. “ selene could see the burn on his hand so she motioned for him to sit down. it was a small one, something that just needed to get cleaned up and then would take some time to heal. “ luckily, it’s only a first degree burn. “ it was hard to keep herself professional since he always tended to go off topic. 

bryson hated the fact he was always needing help from the girl but at the same time, seeing her made it all worth it. this stupid burn he probably could have taken care of himself, but his superior made him get checked out. looking down at the burn he cringed a little as she examined it and started to clean through the dirt. “you’re right, that might not be the only thing i’m lucky about right now,” he said with a smirk, always trying to get the other to blush. bryson naturally was a flirt, but he had a pretty subtle way of doing it. leaning back into the stretcher, “so, am i only ever going to see you here?? i mean honestly, i feel like you live here!”

            hadley bit her lower lip and considered the offer. was that guy simply trying to pick her up? that seemed a lot more likely than all the conclusions her brain had drawn from the simple interaction. asking ryder to pick her up seemed like a big inconvenience, though. “i’ll be okay. if he tries anything stupid i can do something. my mind just did all the worst case scenarios i guess.” she admitted, adjusting her glasses and laughing a bit. “even if he tries something shady, i could probably take care of myself. thanks for looking out for me, though.” 

ryder tried not to laugh. knowing that hadley had some real concerns about what was going on, “so...what? did you think he was going to kill you and use your parts for soup or something???” hadley was her best friend, so of course she would want to help in any way possible, but she wouldn’t push if the girl wasn’t ready for it. “i’m always going to look out for you, you’re like a sister to me. but i kinda wanna see this guy....so i’ll probably meet you at the end of your shift.---besides, if i do see him i’ll make sure to say he’s a damn wierdo and to leave you alone.”

it was impossible not to hear her mumble but he chose not to say anything about it, not in the mood for a conversation like that. she did make him happy in her own way or he wouldn’t have bothered seeing her, but there was definitely something about killing someone that he liked. it was disgusting, he knew that but it didn’t mean he wasn’t going to do it again. xavier had never really had a serious connection with someone, preferring sex over anything else and nova seemed okay with that to a point. he didn’t do meaningful conversations, he didn’t talk about his feelings and he didn’t see himself ever changing. if nova was gonna stay with him, then nova was gonna have to deal with that and just accept it. “can’t i want both?” he didn’t know why he couldn’t have both. “i wanna kill someone but i also wanna fuck you until you pass out exhausted,” he couldn’t explain it any other way and at least he was being honest. “why don’t you come with me? it’s late, no one will see.”

nova wasn’t exactly sure what to do in this situation, the guy that she was hopelessly in love with was a killer. that seems crazy to her that she was actually considering staying with someone like this. who knows what it would do to her mentally, to have all of that weight on her shoulders. even with the reassurance of that the both of them wouldn’t get in trouble. “because...xav, having both is absolutely crazy! you realize that right?? it doesn’t even make sense to me that you want both...?” she groaned, pulling away from the boy when he suggested that she join him in his activities, “ you what?! n---no! absolutely not. you just..did that what? like and hour ago!!! no...not tonight. you are cut off tonight, okay?? stay with me.” she knew if he really wanted to there was going to be no stopping him at all. “please?”

there was a chance that she could leave, but he wasn’t surprised when she stepped towards him, her hands finding his face. “you don’t fucking get it…it felt amazing and it’s what i’ve been missing this whole time.” he figured he should be honest, especially since nova knew the real him, knew that he could be violent so it probably wasn’t a surprise to her that he’d taken the next step. “i’m not gonna get caught, i’m not in the system so there’s no chance of them finding me. you need to trust that you know what i’m doing.” he didn’t really, not when it was his first one but nova didn’t need to know that. it was taking everything in him not to go out there and do it again, needing the adrenaline rush. “you won’t get in trouble, i’m not about to tell anyone that you know so don’t worry about that shit, alright?” glancing down, he let out a sigh as she moved her hands to his chest. “apart from during sex, i’ve never felt a rush like it before.”

it disgusted her to know that his only happiness seemed to come from killing, and not from her. so what, was she jealous of the dead body that was probably lying in a ditch right now. “i want to be able to make you happy,” she mumbled, not daring to even look at him. all that nova felt right now was how pathetic she was being. xav was smarter than her, so he would probably be able to get away with staying with her...while also murdering innocent people on the side. it was sad really, to know that she was not the first thing on his mind. but she never was, but part of her mind always held that fantasy there. sex always was first with them, even if nova was having a bad day. the cure was always sex in his eyes. she wasn’t complaining about it, since it was great with him. but sometimes she lacked that connection with someone. “do you want to kill someone, or be with me right now?” she asked, wondering what would happen tonight.

ryder had just finished a deal in the back of the club, it was usual for a friday night. her business was booming, the club, as well as the drugs she was dealing. her girlfriend seemed pretty oblivious to the situation, but why would she complain when she was living the dream with ryder. she rubbed the residue of coke from her nose, stepping back into the pounding music and rounds of cheers from the crowds dancing on the floor. her eyes scanned across, spotting her girlfriend in the vip section talking to a few of her friends. making her way over, she immediately grabbed the blonde by the waist and into her, “what’re we talkin’ bout over here, huh??” she smirked, kissing the girl under her jaw a few times. “miss me?” @fixaticn

“it’s what you’re meant to do, right? see some blood and call the cops because it’s obvious it’s not mine.” as much as xavier would never admit it, he knew he had a hold over nova and she would pretty much do anything for him. it was why he didn’t bother covering himself up when she’d walked in the room as even with the goading, xavier knew there was no chance she’d call the cops. he could probably cheat on her and she’d still run back, though he’d never done it to find out if that would happen. almost wanting to smirk as she confirmed she wouldn’t call the cops, xavier unbuttoned his jeans and pulled them off, putting them in the washer with his shirt. “yeah, i know….he just wouldn’t shut the fuck up, i did what i had to do and he won’t be bothering anyone anymore.” running his newly washed hands through his hair, xavier stared at the girl as she stepped towards him. “there’s nothing you can do to help….you wanna know the truth? i enjoyed doing it. i wanna go and find another fucker and watch as they die in front of me, knowing i’m the reason.”

there was really nothing nova could do at this point to get herself to leave, she was too far into caring for xavier and making sure he was okay. obviously he would be fine, given that the man just killed someone. when she heard him go on about his actions and wanting to do it again? her heart was pounding in her chest. would he kill her if things got worse? too many questions were going through her head, and she had to say something to get him to stop. stepping to close the distance between them, her hands grabbed his face, “stop. just---stop, okay? for right now. i---i can’t control you...and we both know that. but please, xav. just---be here with me for right now.” her eyes were already starting to get red, and she felt like she was begging him not to go back and kill someone else. “what if you get caught doing this shit---and fuck, that means i’ll get in trouble too!” she groaned, her hands sliding down his neck to rest on his chest.

            hadley sat on the floor by the coffee table and stopped her scribbling in a notebook to look up at her roommate. they were both off today but their other roommate was working. hadley looked for a moment before she remembered she had something to say and sat up a little straighter. “you know that one weird guy that comes in for coffee and has a million special requests?” she asked, closing her notebook and turning to face her roommate. she was pretty sure they would know who she was talking about, but she paused to see if they needed more clarification. “well! i think he waited for my shift to end the other day or i’m just really unlucky. he was standing outside when i was leaving and had about a million questions for me but i just kinda shrugged him off and kept going. he tried to walk me home but i told him i was getting on the bus and going somewhere to meet my boyfriend. total lie, but i had no idea how to lose him. think i should say something to management?”  @cnedance

ryder was looking through her phone, technically it was ‘working’. most of her work had to be through text or phone, but no one really knew exactly what kinda of business she was doing. she glanced up at her roommate when she spoke up, raising a brow at the story that was told. letting out a small laugh ryder shook her head, “nah, not even a big deal. i mean...that’s not how i would approach a girl that i was into. it’s just some dude that doesn’t have any game.” the brunette wasn’t worried about hadley she knew that she could take care of herself. “but uh, if you’re worried about it i can always pick you up from work, you know? just so he don’t try some shady bullshit.”
