okay but imagine a one-night stand thread where we both randomly pick one of our muses and go along with it. that way they’re complete strangers that aren’t necessarily compatible or maybe they strangely are. the point of it is to find out and play around with chemistry !

here’s a plot… muse a is a rlly powerful criminal. he basically has the world under their thumb. he’s killed lots of people (or at least ordered a lot of people to be killed) and he’s made a LOT of money this way. muse b, meanwhile, is a relatively ordinary person – she’s the girl next door. through a turn of events, the two meet and begin a fling. (muse a may or may not have a spouse at home, but that’s neither here nor there.) muse b knows muse a is a criminal – everyone does – but she enjoys the rush and the excitement. 

one day, though, muse b finds out she’s pregnant. and she realizes that muse a is not a suitable father for her baby. he’s too dangerous. death and destruction follows him everywhere he goes, and, as much as she cares about him, she knows he’s not exactly a good person. so she gives it to him straight: she’s going to end their relationship, move, and raise their child alone, and muse a is going to stay away. muse a truly loves muse b, so he agrees to her terms, and does her one better: he’ll send money to help raise the kid, and even pay for her new home.

fast forward some years. muse b is settled into her new life with her child, and muse a has stuck to his promises. at least until one day, he shows up on her doorstep. he has several armed guards, and a car ready to go.

“grab our kid and get in the car,” he says. “someone found out, and my enemies are after the two of you.”

muse a and muse b have been together for a number of years, they were settled and everything seemed like it was going to plan. but muse a had fallen out of love a long time ago– the spark faded, but they felt they needed to stay because it was expected of them. everybody else thought they were forever, including muse b. now muse a has to escape and break the news, but maybe it’ll be the wake up call muse b needs.

muse a and muse b have always had a comfortable relationship– there’s never been too many arguments or bumps in the road, it’s smooth sailing and they’re happy. but when muse a suffers a loss, they’re immediately stricken with grief and are spiralling out of control. muse b realises what it means to truly love someone at their best and their worst.

it was a one time mistake– muse a hadn’t meant to cheat. it was a moment of utter madness because they panicked about being settled, they wanted to feel young again and feel wanted by someone other than muse b. it took some convincing but muse b took them back, except their relationship is rockier than it ever has been because muse b will always bring it up in every little argument, holding it over muse a. is it true that a cheater will never change?
