the switch from ‘a girl worth fighting for’ to coming upon the decimated village in mulan is THE MOST kick-in-the-teeth mood change IN ALL OF CINEMA
That scene shift did more for our generation’s understanding of the horror of war in ten seconds than Game of Thrones did in eight seasons, and it did it without showing us a single dead body.

I think she earned the right to protest wherever and whenever she wants.
They have the right to protest where they want after the shit they were put through.
just a thought: the reason why you are probably incredibly uncomfortable with the term ‘bisexual’ or being seen as one is because you have grown up in a world that’s inherently anti-bisexual. we have always been seen as cheaters, fetishes, sex objects, indecisive, attention-seeking, slutty, childish, etcetera. we are always seen as a straight person’s fantasy or something to be played for laughs on tv. young bisexual kids grow up seeing how the world deeply hates them and are forced to repress their bisexuality in order to be accepted.
and the worst part of it all; there is really no way of escaping it.
even in spaces where we should be able to feel safe, where we should be able to be ourselves without judgement, this behavior is encouraged. we tell bisexuals with deeply rooted internalized biphobia that it’s okay to just avoid bisexuality; that just calling yourself something else is the solution to your crippling self hatred.
screw all of it. let us exist. stop telling us we can’t just be bisexual. we are bisexual, and there is nothing you can do about that.
“It’s still a sensitive issue for many people in my life. They really don’t get bisexuality. I’ve had this suspicion with every partner that I’ve ever had [that they didn’t get it]. I’ve never been with another bisexual person. I’ve only been with either straight or gay people, so, it’s a very suspicious place. Nobody has ever really accepted that I’m truly bisexual. Nobody has ever allowed it. It’s still very much a point of argument between anybody that I’ve been with. People just don’t accept it.” –– Margaret Cho

I am absolutely, without a doubt, going apeshit
i need!!! to be in the forest. run my hand through a little stream. climb over a fallen tree…maybe sit down on a stone and forget about society for a bit
I know you’re tired bitch but keep fucking going
I still think that my favorite urban legend/folklore fact is that there are certain areas in New Orleans where you cannot get a taxi late at night not because it isn’t safe, but because taxi companies have had recurring problems of picking up ghosts in those areas who are not aware that they are dead and disappearing from the cab before reaching the destination and therefore stiffing the driver on the fare causing a loss for the company.
An occupational hazard of cab driving I had not previously considered
I love that the nola problem here is not “ghosts in my taxi cab,” but “ghosts are FUCKING BROKE DEAD BASTARDS & I GOT BILLS”
Horror is when ghosts get into cabs and scare drivers Magical realism is when cab companies have to develop policies to prevent ghastly fare-theft
