“You’re a mom?” It was a fair assumption based on the mention of morning sickness. “How many kids do you have?”
sandy nodded with a small hum. “mhm. i just have the one. hopefully more later on, but i’m good with just her if it doesn’t happen.”
side-ofthe-angelsx:
❉ ‘s’fine, kid. not your fault.’ well, now he felt like shit on top of feeling like shit. he would have had to walk into a small kid of all people. ‘i didn’t hurt her, did i?’ wes directed the question at the woman who was with the girl. probably her mother, but wes wasn’t about to make an assumption. ‘i couldn’ really see where i was going, ‘m sorry,’ he mumbled out an apology.
sandy shook her head. “nah, she’s fine,” she said. “i’m good. no blood, no broken bones and i’m alive,” teagan said. sandy giggled lightly, running her hand through teagan’s hair. “it’s fine. she wasn’t paying much attention. which is why we listen when mom says ‘watch what you’re doing’, right?” she asked, looking at teagan and getting a nod in return.

“To begin with, your business would prosper.” He commented casually, “Then, of course, there’s the times when you get so furious that it slips out without you even noticing. Even if it’s just for a second. Have you really never wished harm onto someone else?”
“harm, yes --- never death.”

★ ‘uh-huh…’ Quinn responded skeptically. he knew what he had seen, and was debating pushing the matter, a strong desire to cause a little chaos surfacing. with a slight shake of his head, directed at himself, he instead directed his next comment about the person he had seen with her a few moments before. ‘’the other person i saw, they weren’t bothering you, were they?’
“just a little,” she said, looking around for a few seconds. “it’s no big deal. i handled it.” sandy wasn’t sure how much the other had seen, but she wasn’t gonna ask about it.
thesocrce:
“People are dying every day, maybe you should try a new promotional technique.” The Source Sebastian commented, putting his hands into the pockets of his leather jacket. “You’ve never wished someone was dead? I find that hard to believe.”
“why would i wish someone dead? i would never.”
demonxbred:
★ Quinn’s job as a host in a high end restaurant provided him with a way to keep a finger on the happenings of all the affluent members of local society. It also made for some very interesting interactions, such as the one he had just finished dealing with where an angry patron had decided to try and scale the antique banister with cloth dinner napkins a la Mulan. Returning to the front to punch out for the evening, he spotted something outside that made him pause, nodding a solemn goodnight to his co-workers, he stepped outside towards the person he had seen. “Are you alright, there?” the half’demon asked.
she was paranoid beyond belief --- with the commotion she'd caused yelling at the warlock she managed to fend off, she knew it probably caught someone's attention. just a few seconds after she'd let herself drift back down to the ground once she'd stopped levitating, she heard the other's voice and she turned around quickly, placing a hand on her chest as she swallowed nervously. "i'm fine," she said quickly. "i'm good."

❉ Wes was just a bit hungover this morning. He supposed it’s what he got for drinking copious amounts of alcohol willy-nilly, but he was past the point of caring anymore. however, it did make it hard to walk properly, especially seeing the sun was shining right in his eyes and he’d left his sunglasses behind. Thus it shouldn’t have been a surprise when he walked into someone. “aw, shit. Sorry,” he mumbled.
sandy hummed lightly as she walked along the sidewalk, her daughter skipping ahead a few feet. she figured since it was nice out, they might as well take a walk to get out of the house while she didn't have to work. she was texting a coworker when she heard her daughter let out a small 'oompf' sound and she looked up, putting her phone in her pocket. "honey --- you need to start paying attention," sandy said, pushing teagan's hair out of her face. "sorry, sir," teagan said in a small voice.

“ people always die , it’s a way of life . ” the whitelightersaid , despite having ‘ beat ‘ death himself . “ i’m sure you’ll have business soon ,although if you keep talking about rolling DEAD BODIES into your freezer , your clients might not be as eager .”
"hopefully after the family business being around for seventy years running out of the same house, people know what i do and that i just have a dark sense of humor. i see your point though... a tourist might think i’m freezing people to cook ‘em up later. just call me hannah belle lecter,” she said with a small giggle. “please don’t laugh at that, that was the dumbest joke i’ve ever made and i regretted it the second it came out of my mouth.”
wyattlightcr:
“I feel that one. Tea tends to be my go to as well. Mom always used to say there was a different type of tea for everything.”
"my mom gave me tea with caraway seeds when i was younger and had the flu. helped with the nausea and made me want to eat. it helped me a lot with morning sickness too, but clove blossoms helped more and made me stop throwing up so often. tea is definitely my best friend sometimes."
wyattlightcr:
“Do you want to maybe share tragic family stories over a cup of tea? Or coffee, if you prefer.”
“sure. tea’s fine, coffee makes me... wonky. sets everything off and then things get weird.”
wyattlightcr:
“More like one of those situations were they don’t actually know I exist.”
“that’s rough. i’m sorry. i hope things go well for you and your family. family’s the most important thing you can have. i learned that the hard way.”
wyattlightcr:
“For my past self it was to work trapeze in a circus. Right now it’s finding courage to approach my remaining family.”
“that’s... deep. a lot deeper than mine,” she said. “i assume you had a falling out.”
wyattlightcr:
“Very true.”
“what’s your dream, if you don’t mind me asking?”
wyattlightcr:
“That I believe. In a past life, I even got to live out my dream.” Maybe not the whole truth, but it wasn’t exactly a lie either.
“better once than never at all, right?”
wyattlightcr:
“Fair enough. Though I seem to be having them far more lately than usual.”
“your luck’ll come back eventually. no one stays unlucky for their entire life.”
