★ ‘i am the front of house manager at the very high-end place that is on the other side of this door. it’s very popular, anyone who is anyone has been there.’ he liked his job, and clung to it, it was the only truly normal part of his life. he was also the youngest manager the company had ever seen. ‘what about you, what is your occupation? other than,’ eyes flicked to the area the demon had been, ‘that?’ whitelighters had other jobs, he assumed. banishing evil didn't really pay bills. he took a few tentative steps towards the alley opening, not wishing to provoke the man, and was tempted just to shimmer out of there, but having already given his name, and to be right outside his workplace, that would be a bad idea. he’d never be able to hide after that.

★ ‘quinn feng is my name. not that it shall mean anything of consequence. and while i would be happy to oblige to your request, my shift,’ he gestured over his shoulder to the door he had exited, ‘ is done and i wish to return home,’ he gestured again, this time down the alley behind the man that led to the main street. ‘sleeping outside the door of my workplace in a dank alley isn’t exactly what i have in mind for a relaxing evening.’ he was careful not to mention he was a half demon, as the more zealous of those who hunted the supernatural would as soon destroy him as hear this. the sad irony of that being he would rather assist them than impede them.

★ ‘lost in thought is not a bad thing, i would suppose,’ quinn replied. evedentialy it was osmething the woman cared a lot about, given the depth in which she had been absorbed in thought. it was a state quinn himself was often in, though he kept deep reflection to the confines of his small apartment. it wsn’t easy being what he was but desiring to do good.

★ ‘well, whether it makes you feel better or no, i do know. unfortunate, believe me. especially due to the nature of why i know of it. and i am sure your frat story would have been most...amusing.’ to quinn it seemed there had been a recent urge in supernatural activity and those whom were fighting his demon brethren. noting that the man seemed a bit on edge, he added, ‘i mean no harm to you, you may relax.’ eyes wandered back to the place the lesser demon had been, a small snarl coming unbidden to his lips. ‘i don’t go around causing harm willy-nilly.’

The rise of demonic activity as of late had kept the Halliwell’s busy. Chris had been tracking a low-level demon that had caused some grief in Chinatown. The demon had already shimmered into an alleyway and was running for its life or rather hoping to get a fireball off on to its pursuer. The Whitelighter-witch orbed into the alleyway and immediately ducked and rolled out of the way as that said fireball shot passed where his head had been. He quickly pushed himself up to his feet, a hand slipping into the pocket of his jacket. From the pocket, he took out a potion bottle with a red liquid inside, basic vanquishing potion. Just as he was about to throw it, the back door of whatever business they were behind started to open, “Get down!” He yelled the warning a half a second before throwing the potion and watching as it hit the lower level demon engulfing it into flames and disappearing seconds later.

Now came the ‘fun’ part; Chris turned his attention to whoever had walked out the back door, this could be interesting trying to explain what had just happened.

★ quinn was just exiting the back of his place of work, when he was shouted at to get down. after the event, he stood back up, dusting off his clothes and eyeing the place the demon had been. eyes narrowed in slight contempt, it would always hurt a bit of him to see this happen. his demon side was shouting out to make that man suffer for harming a brethren, make him regret the day of his birth. clenching fists, and taking a deep breath, quinn fought back the urge to harm the other. waving a hand at the man he spoke, ‘no need to explain, or try to fabricate a story, i know exactly what happened.’

★ ‘because i feel like still being here,’ quinn stated bluntly. no-way was he letting anyone dictate where he could and could not go. and besides, he felt a certain pull that wasn’t letting him leave. ‘you are very intuitive,’ he glanced at the woman up and down, ‘darklighter.’ quinn’s human side was yelling at him to leave, turn his back and go. or at least shimmer away. but the stronger side, the one who’s power over him continued to grow, told him this was fine and good, and to stay put.

★ ‘must be a pretty profound train of thought given how intent you seem,’ he remarked as he glanced up towards the roof himself. it took only a second for the half-demon to make an educated guess about what was really going on, but he played ignorant.

★ ‘as long as you are okay, then,’ quinn responded. something sure as he was standing was going on. there seemed to be a high level of vague arguments and altercations breaking out recently. like he couldn’t tell.

this place is going to change. sebastain felt a small swell of pride as he sat down on a bench, observing the seemingly content people bustle arouund the park. it seemed fitting, that the same place his father (and his old self) found his demise would be the core of where he would start his destruction. but he resufed to fail like his father before him, no, he would be smarter than he was. “the chills not terrible today.” he spoke aloud, not directing it to anyone in particular.

★ ‘the chill is never terrible when you have a fire on the inside,’ quinn responded. he was referring to his own demon heritage, but besides his mother and a doctor back in denver, no-one knew what quinn was, so it was a comment that would be lost on everyone else. quinn wasn’t really sure why he was in this park of all places, but a walk had seemed to suit him that morning. ‘beautiful, is it not?’ he asked, looking around the scene that unfolded around him.

he didn’t favor sitting around . but , when one of his co-workers had asked him to watch over one of their charges for a few days ( he didn’t ask WHY , just assuming it was a good enough excuse ) he’d accepted . but , thankfully , it was a boring task , one that hardly required any effort . derek’s hazel eyes had watched from where he sat , studying them before turning to the nearest person , “ oh - sorry , did you say something ? ”

★ ‘no i did not.’ quinn responded. ‘not to you anyway.’ he slid his phone back into his pocket. ‘i suppose that is what i get for talking on the phone in a public area, though,’ the half-demon continued. he stopped talking and turned his attention to a book on his lap. ‘sorry for accidentally interrupting your chain of thought .’

Perseus was just about almost finished with the Gallery chores and just needed to order in more materials for her to work on. Feeling rather accomplished today, when she felt eyes on her. Unaware of the red streak of paint on her cheek. “You know if you want to say something just say it…” She said amusingly.

★ ‘okay, you have paint on your face, just there’ he touched the spot on his own face that reflected where the paint was on the woman’s face. ‘it’s red,’ he added. not that it made a difference what colour paint it was, he just thought he should add it. ‘paint generally goes upon canvases and such if i am not terribly mistaken,’ the half demon said.

★ ‘okay. i am well aware i don’t have to ask or do anything. i decided to anyway.’ why were people always making it so much harder for him to try and do right? not for the first time, and definitely not for the last, Quinn though about how much easier it would be for him to just not try anymore. just let his demon half get what it wanted. ‘are you sure you don’t need assistance with anything?’ he tried again.

★ ‘uh-huh...’ Quinn responded skeptically. he knew what he had seen, and was debating pushing the matter, a strong desire to cause a little chaos surfacing. with a slight shake of his head, directed at himself, he instead directed his next comment about the person he had seen with her a few moments before. ‘’the other person i saw, they weren’t bothering you, were they?’

★ Quinn’s job as a host in a high end restaurant provided him with a way to keep a finger on the happenings of all the affluent members of local society. It also made for some very interesting interactions, such as the one he had just finished dealing with where an angry patron had decided to try and scale the antique banister with cloth dinner napkins a la Mulan. Returning to the front to punch out for the evening, he spotted something outside that made him pause, nodding a solemn goodnight to his co-workers, he stepped outside towards the person he had seen. “Are you alright, there?” the half’demon asked.
