Tami heard Buddy calling out her husbands name and was half shocked when her husband didn’t stop to talk to him instead she found that he was ushering them both out of the restaurant and into the cool spring Texas night. As soon as their lips touched outside the front doors to the restaurant, Tami melted into her husbands embrace.

The world around seemed to disappear as Eric stood outside the restaurant with his wife in his arms. He couldn’t keep his hands off her, let alone pull himself away from her - she was where he felt loved, wanted and complete. He stumbled into the parking lot, his lips still on hers, backing her up against the car and wrapping his arms up and around her head. “25 years together, and I still can’t control myself around you..” Eric whispered against her lips and pressed his body against hers.

Tami smiled as she watched him throw money on the table and stand up from his seat. “Happily, babe.” She responded raising for her own seat and grabbing her purse and walking around the table towards the front door.

Eric led her out of the room filled with people, he didn’t even hear Buddy call out his name, as he pushed his way through the front door of the restaurant, into the cool breeze of the Texas night. He swung Tami into his arms and hissed her passionately, completely hungry for her.

“Forget getting the food to go. We can order room service.”

“You don’t have to tell me twice.” Eric moved his hand from her leg and into his pocket and throws some cash on the table. “Let’s get out of here, babe.” Eric said seductively, reaching for her hand while he stood up.

“What if I can’t wait that long?” Tami whispered lowly locking her eyes on his and moving her hand to rest on top of his giving it a light squeeze.

“Then, I guess we should take the food to go, and work up an appetite.” He replied, licking his bottom lip.

Tami shook her head as her husband tried to assure her that she didn’t exactly know what he knew and what he didn’t. His quirky, smart ass comment didn’t surprise the blonde one bit and the fact that she didn’t know what her husband had up his sleeve half the time scared the shit out of her. “I’m hoping that I get to find out what a twisted pretzel is sooner rather than later.” Tami teased back, a chill running through her body as his hand ran up her leg.

Eric looked at how Tami responded to his roaming hand, the way her body tensed up, the way she looked as chills ran through her. After so many years together, Eric loved that he still had this affect on his wife - the way a single touch could unravel her. “Don’t worry babe...” He quietly said to into her ear, “you’ll find out exactly what it is, soon enough...” he let out a soft moan as his hand found her upper inner thigh.

“Baby, do you even know what  a twisted pretzel is?” Tami teased looking across the table at her husband. She could already tell that with the way he was talking and by the look in his eyes – their food would be cold long before they would ever get around to taking their hands off of one another long enough to eat. “I sure as hell do not know what a twisted pretzel is.”

“Baby, you’d be surprised at what I know...” Eric teased right back. He slipped his hand underneath the table and ran it up her leg. “It will be a surprise you won’t forget baby.” He whispered, with a glimmer in his eye.

Tami knew by now that throwing a challenge at Eric was something that she would lose without doubt..telling him he couldn’t do something just made him prove that he could that much harder, but when it came to the topic of her flexibility in the bedroom-Tami knew that she would lose. Eric knew her body better than she did. He knew exactly how to get her legs in the proper position for him to gain the easiest access that would not only look like a circus act, but be far more enjoyable and pleasurable than Tami could have ever imagined. There was no doubt that everything that man threw at the blonde in the bedroom, made her toes curl with desire. “Well, why don’t we just go ahead and get this food to go, and take this back to the hotel room.” Tami teased, moving her right foot up his leg slowly. “Let’s get a jump start on this night and go ahead and get into a sweaty pile of naked.”

There was no doubt that Eric knew Tami’s body just as well as he knew her in every other sense of the word. There was nothing he enjoyed more than getting Tami to bend in every which direction he wanted, to be honest, he couldn’t wait. So, when Tami suggested grabbing the food to go, he didn’t hesitate. “Waiter!” Eric called. “Can we get that order to go?”. He glanced at Tami and smirked. “I can’t wait to get you in a twisted pretzel.”

“Sweetheart, I am not nearly as young as I used to be.” Tami retorted blushing as her mind floated to the days when Eric would have his way with her more than just once in more than just one way. “There’s only one way to test the theory, Coach.”

Eric grinned from ear to ear at Tami’s challenge to test just how flexible she was after all these years. “There is indeed, and I have no doubt that we won’t succeed in more ways than one, baby.” Coach was used to having more than one play on the board while coaching, but, being alone in a hotel room with his wife, only one play was needed, and after nearly 25 years of marriage, that play was one he had perfected.

“Sugar, I’m not even sure my body can still move the way that it did the first time you ever got me in a spread formation in a tent.” Tami smirked giving his hands a tight squeeze. “But if you keep talking the way you are, I’m not even going to make it through dinner before I asked you to slam me back up against another wall and have your way with me.” The blonde winked back at her husband.

“Baby, you can still bend in whichever direction you want to...” he grinned out of the side of his mouth. “I can still take you into the bathroom and bend you over in a way you haven’t been in awhile,” he continued, pursing is lips together.

“If you weren’t able to rebook the room, we could have always just pitched a tent by the lake instead.” She teased watching him return to the seat across the table from her.

Eric spread his arms across the table to hers and laughed. “Don’t make me second guess that hotel stay now, babe. I would love to get you in a spread formation in a tent again.” Eric smiled widely and gave her THE eyes.

“Thank you. Call us if you have any issues, give our girl a goodnight hug and kiss for us.” Tami responded before hanging up the phone and placing it back in her purse. Her eyes lifted to meet Eric’s gaze. “Your daughter’s sitter is going to stay with her all night.”

Eric set his hand on the back of her seat and looked down at her. “Well, it’s a good thing I was able to reserve the room again, isn’t it?” He teased and pecked her lips. He smiled coyly at her, and sat back down in his seat.

“Hi, Sarah – it’s Mrs. Taylor, there has actually been a change of plans. My sweet husband has prepared a night away for the two of us and I can’t bare to make him reschedule anything. Are you comfortable with staying with Gracie Belle for the night or should I call my parents?”

“Hi, Mrs. Taylor.” Sarah said into the phone, “That’s absolutely fine. Mr. Taylor mentioned it may be an overnight thing when he called and asked me to babysit.” Sarah spoke as she looked at Gracie Belle sitting on the floor in the living room. “We’ll be fine. Y’all enjoy your night. We will see you in the morning.”

Tami smiled as Eric kissed her head and walked to the front of the restaurant to call the hotel. The blonde pulled her phone out of her purse and dialed their home phone and called the sitter.

Eric finalized the hotel reservation one last time, before hanging up the phone. He shoved the phone back in his shirt pocket and stopped and looked at Tami, she had the phone up to her ear. A feeling of fear slowly crept inside him, praying that Gracie Belle wouldn’t have a hard time with the news of them staying out all night. He took a deep breath and walked back to the table, as Tami started talking.

Sarah called a time out on the last round of connect four, and stood up into hte kitchen and grabbed the house phone, “Hello?”

“Then why don’t you go see if that room is still available and if it is, tell them that we will rebook the reservation and let’s spend the night together.” Tami paused, squeezing his hand again, “I want to spend the night with my husband.”

Eric smiled and raised their conjoined hands to his lips and pecked hers. “I want to spend the night with you too, babe.” He smiled again and gently pulled his hands away from hers. “I’ll be right back.” He stood and kissed her head and walked to the corner of the restaurant and rebooked the hotel room.

“In the 21 years that we have been married have I ever done something that didn’t make me equally as happy as it made you?” Tami asked, “Babe, I have sacrificed for our relationship more times than I can even remember. I love you, I’ve been in love with you for as long as I can remember. I want to get back the things we seem to have let drift away. I never want to take the silence and alone time with my husband for granted again.”

Eric pursed his lips together and looked at her. “No, babe. You haven’t.” Eric paused and squeezed her hand and smiled faintly. “I have loved you since I was 17, I have never loved anyone as much as I love you, and nothing would make me happier, than spending the night with you.”

“I’m sorry, babe. I am so sorry.” Tami spoke softly, lifting her free hand up to his cheek and stroking it gently. “I think I know how to try and get that back….we start with tonight. This dinner, and that hotel room.”

Eric met his eyes with hers, and looked at her. “Babe, is that what you really want?” He aske softly. “I don’t want you just saying that to make me happy. I want you to want it as much as I do.”
