hiya. so, imma be doin’ a concert in Cannibal Town soon, n’ i wanna get a nice suit for it. would y’all mind if i came in later today for a consultation session? i will note, my anatomy may be hard ‘ta work with, so i completely understand if ‘ya don’t wanna deal with the annoyance of a 6 armed freak such as myself.

…the wings and stinger are also problematic, I pretty much have to diy/custom order all’a my clothes.

A Bit About Beau

[[ If I knew jack squat about Mutton, I know really little about my boss. Boss man is super cagey and dramatic and huffy about literally everything and anything regarding the past. You don't need a historical drama, there's a fossil in the shop that's happy to grumble about how news papers are way too expensive right here. ]]

[[ Some Mutton provided facts for this post include that he plays the piano [which I have seen him do! I, Bagel, am a verified fact checker!], he has a general distain for anything that starts with an A and ends with an R, and that he loves music!! “I would call that Uhm..more than a little, and we’re not a laundering service— but I do have a fair bit of experience removing blood from clothing!”

“Of course he does, what scary shit have two of you not done?”

“I can’t fix it here, but I can give you the proper advice to follow! No hot water, when bloods involved you want to avoid hot water at all costs! We want cold water, preferably before the stains are dry- “

You’ll want to soak it in cold water, since you’re uh...dealing with a heavy stain, if the fabric is colorfast- just soak it directly in a bowl of hydrogen peroxide- lighter stains you’d wanna just blot with a peroxide soaked rag-“

“You should scrub it with a bar of soap in the cold water too, that can work. Then after that point you should pre-treat it with an enzyme-containing liquid detergent or you can use baking soda and water mixed into a paste-“

“You should continue those steps until the stain is as faint as possible, then wash with warm water.- As for uhm,,everything else- we have a bathroom? If you’d like to clean up- it’s to the back-...”

I payed SOOOO much money to nab this from the living world- but I forgot how expensive it was when that douchebag from the Doomsday district dissed my queen Billie Holiday.... "Oh, her dress is cute! You're not alone sweetie pie, I can't see red either! or green!"

"Right Right your dress, yes it's adorable, a little late for my usual tastes, but still classy! It's nice to see a modern sinner appreciating vintage fashion!...Unlike..those... tacky rags they're peddling now...why would you pay money for pre holed clothing??"

"That feels targeted." Hazel grumbled.

"Because it is, you're my apprentice, I expect more from you. Like perhaps, cutting holes in your clothes YOURSELF instead of buying torn clothes."

"Ah Ms. Holiday, now THERE was a jazz singer, I can't say I ever got the privilege to hear her live, but we had plenty of records. Ha, one time we got so into our dancing that we clean fell off the back porc-..Ahem Excuse me, I got a bit off base there."

"REGARDLESS of what I got up to in life MUTTON, you look nice in red dear, I'm not fond of the color, but it's certainly becoming on you!"

"Oh calm yourselves, at least the windows are intact! Why I remember the Cannibal Town upraising of 1956, they tried to revolt against Rosie, heavens knows why, she's a perfectly fair leader. "...Oh great, he's getting into it again."

"Your fault, you know blood reminds him of prohibition, we're gonna be here all day now."

"Regardless, dear, If you do wish for a change of clothes or to freshen up just say the word! Again, our bathroom is down the hall."

There is a pair of eyes glowing from down the hall that make you think twice about finding out who they belong to. Beau waves a hand, as if to dismiss any worry.

"And don't mind him, that's my son Shit, he's shy around strangers, so he'll...likely stay back there."

"Who names their son Shit?"

"Shit named himself."

"Wait really?"

"Yeah, it was his first word, I think."

"He's older than you both combined, of course he chose his name." Beau turns his head to you, antenna flickering a bit. "We also call him JR, he's again, shy. He's of no harm to you though, just to reassure!"

Hazel frowns. "That big fuck tried to throw me in a dumpster when I first came in here."

"He could smell your bad vibes, no one wants to join your beatles impressionist band."

Beau blinks. "What's this 'beetles' we're talking about? Ah is there a new species of hell beetle? I just got one the other day, I'm in the process of drying it, I was thinking I could hang it in the shop once I get it pinned."

Hazel bristles. "I AM LITERALLY AN INSECT I CALL HR VIOLATIONS."

Mutton snickers, "Too bad, I'm HR and I say it's funny."

Beau flicks his head back toward Wen, an apologetic smile crossing his fangs. "My apologies again dear, I get distracted quite easily, I'll write the instructions down, so you don't have to worry about memorizing them!" He calls over his shoulder, "Mutton, can you bag the items I mentioned for her?"

Mutton looked up from where she was pestering a frazzled Hazel, nodding and letting out a little "Yepp!" before ducking into the back room to retrieve the items Beau had been referring to.

Hazel leaned forward to Wen, tilting their head, "Hey uh, I feel like I know you from somewhere, you were in that weird commercial for that weird hotel thing princess Morningstar is doin' right?"

"Redemption, huh? I suppose there has to be a few good souls in hell, certainly none of them here though."

"I wasn't THAT bad!"

"Last I checked you were doin' cocaine like it was going out of style."

"It was!"

"And Mutton ate her husband."

"He deserved it." Mutton calls from the backroom.

"Yes, he deserved it." Beau echoes her sentiment.

"And I also did...things."

"Oh so you get to out me as a former cokehead to the guest, but you're going "things" on us?"

"I know! and I'm not gonna say because it's funny."

"It's nothing of concern now." Beau huffs.

"...Okay Fine you help hide 20 to 30 bodies and everyone calls you a murderer, I just helped hide them, I did no murdering, thank you. Really, I mean if anything it was my horrid drinking habit and opium use that got me down here." Beau clicked his tongue, leaning against the front counter of the shop.

"You used opium??" Hazel stood.

"It was a common prescription for various aches and pains back then; some doctors I recall in the Victorian era peddled it to mothers as a cure for babies teething pains. In my case, I had quite a bad back, that and sleeplessness." Beau explained, rubbing his lower back with a sigh.

"And I still have it, and the giggle water doesn't hit like it used to, no matter how much I drink, there just ain't any appeal to it anymore."

Mutton remerges with the bag, handing it over to Wen.

"What Mr. Melodramatic is tryin’ to say is he's a social drinker and we're his only friends, who don't drink, so he's a bit bummed, bless his heart."

"You could always go to Mimzy's If ya want people your age Beau." Mutton offered, turning toward him, hand on her hip.

Beau narrows his eyes, all four. "And listen to that hag sing? H e l l no I heard enough of thanks, sounds like a dying opossum being swallowed by a boa."

"You’re the most dramatic man I've ever met; she ain’t a bad singer." Mutton stares blankly at him.

"Fine, she's serviceable, doesn't change the fact that I think she's a total piece of work, calling me a bluenose..i never.."

Mutton blinks, whispering to Wen. "It means he got called a prude, which to be fair he kinda is. You look like you get up to a lotta fun though, sweet pea! If that fella from doomsday is still lyin’ around somewhere, let a girl know! I promised my Coral I’d bring home take out today!” Mutton smiled with a row of sharp teeth.

She laughed, tail flicking as she looked around. Something about this place felt ... safe. Homey. Less nerve-wracking than that other tailor shop Alastor has her frequent.

Oh! Right! The hotel! I'm supposed to advertise the hotel while I'm out!!

Wen fumbled with her long claws to pluck a business card from her pocket. It was entirely soaked in blood like the rest of her.... but she smiled and slipped it into Hazel's pocket.

Ahhh what were my lines? Um.... I'm Wen! I'm the bellhop at the Hazbin Hotel..... and..... oh! Any questions directed towards The Radio Demon should be sent through me first!!

She beamed as she took the bag from Mutton. Such a nice and pretty lady!

Oh yeah- I left the guy right outside that one spa where you pay them to still needles in you? AnywaysI had a musical I was gonna go to after this... would you happen to have a Les Miserables-appropitate outfit I could get for uhhh- The doe dug around her pockets once more before continuing - twelve bucks and an echidna spine?

Mutton blinked, snapping her head to Beau, before chirping "DIBS!!! I'm taking my break ya'll before that VULTURE Martha May takes my Corals dinner!" She grabs a bag from under the front desk and quickly lets herself outside, leaving a mortified Hazel and an unsurprised Beau.

"She's...She's just skipping work to go get..." Hazel's delayed reaction finally catches up to the blood-soaked card in their pocket. "I'm gonna go burn myself alive, the blood touched me." Hazel mumbles, slowly turning, Beau quickly grabs them before they can go make good on their word.

"Goodness, it's just a little blood, go change upstairs If it bothers you." Beau huffed, picking the card up with a tissue. He turns the butterfly toward the stairs, patting their back once as they wonder off with blank eyes.

"You'll have to excuse them. Oh, you're seeing a show? How fun! I'm sure we can find something, I'm willing to let ya borrow something, granted you return it in mostly wearable condition." Beau offers a few baby wipes to Wen so that she can clean her hands prior to touching any clothing.

"I define wearable as the base of it's still intact, kind of, If I can tell it's still a dress for example, then it's wearable. Do we think that's manageable?" Beau offered a fanged smile, before looking around and pulling a couple options out.

"Oh, you said you're the bellhop? I'm sure that's an exciting job, isn't it? Lot's of chances to meet all sorts of sinners. After a while of doing this, you really stop meeting interesting folk, well besides today of course. Young ladies covered in blood and internal organs aren't an everyday occurrence in here, I mean, not since we relocated out of cannibal town, it was a little more common then!"

"AH yeah, I recall her, very nice. She buys thread and needles from us, which is Jrs side hustle, I think he's trying to buy a new digital register after you soft locked the old one."

"I don't see why my old register wasn't fine..." Beau is grumbling something about 'stupid bright screens.'
