I was reading a byler fic set in 2006 and the entire time I was just like:

“one year until the birth of Hatsune Miku”

“Oh it’s 2007 now? Eight months until the birth of Hatsune Miku”

and yet another 2000s byler fic it was like 2003 or something:

“Four years until the birth of Hatsune Miku”

Time is measured in Hatsune Miku, there is no sense of time without Hatsune Miku. Without Hatsune Miku, everything is lost. Hatsune Miku is everyone and everything.

So me and my friend were just yapping about byler as one does and we somehow came up with, like, ANOTHER byler AU which I’m just gonna dump in a huge incoherent paragraph here because my state’s required testing season is here and I am suffering. Anyways!! Shipsahoy is the working name so I don’t know if it’ll stick but it’s good enough I suppose :D

Mike = Captain Michael, the captain of a somewhat large “pirate” ship that loots other ships for money and such. When he was 12, he ran away from home to join his friend and mentor known as “Eddie” but after a few years, Eddie retired from injuries and left Michael in charge. Members of the Party affiliated with Michael: Lucas and Max

Will = Prince William, who has been put under a lot of stress from his family as he is pressured to marry a neighboring princess by his father, who has since died of alcohol poisoning and left the kingdom in shambles. Members of the Party affiliated with William: Jane and Dustin

The basic story is that William is on his way to meet the princess when his ship is captured by Michael’s and he is forced to become their prisoner. However, Michael is taken in by the kind prince and his drawings, and offers him a deal: He can leave his cell, but only if he agrees to become Michael’s personal assistant. Of course, William is still very scared of Michael and accepts the offer in order to not get murdered. Eventually, they become good friends and get along well together. However, William says he must return to his kingdom, as he is worried for his mother and brother. Michael tries to convince him not to go, but eventually gives in and sails towards the land. But, when William is just about to leave, he ultimately decides not to return on the condition that Michael release the other prisoners. Michael asks him why he stayed, and William only responds with “Because I love you” (or something like that.., I have no idea) And then they live happily ever after. The End!
