computer seems to be fixed. wasn’t able to diagnose the problem but nothing is leaking and i replaced the worse-off pieces- primarily just my keys, thank fuck.

my best guess is still coolant. either way, all my files are safe and everythings running primarily back to normal.

Oh shit man, sorry to hear about your computer, I’d suggest trying to drain the black coolant out of it

Also maybe like, take your hard drive out for a bit, just in case it breaks from the leak, wouldn’t want to lose your dads stuff

ive got the hard drive out right now, but this shits still leaking and i dont know where its coming from. ive tried taking it apart, and it just seems to come out of the speakers and keys??

weird as fuck. might have to salvage the good pieces and rebuild which is annoying as hell but this is what backups are for

been working on the files from my dad’s old game project. which is fine and dandy, but for some reason, i can’t get into any of the code. every time i try 2 pull 1t up, my computer gets really hot and makes th3se weird noises at me, and it’s leaking what looks like fucking coolant at me now. i built this computer and the coolant fluid isnt black. this shit’s black and smells like motor oil and i don’t know where it’s coming from. did i just install a nuke. it smells like gasoline so im putting it outside AWAY from anything flammable but its too fucking sticky to be oil. head in my hands

i’m working on my dad’s old project officially now. there’s gonna be plenty of free time in the office to look at all the code and rigs and try to get this running as an actual game

i wasn’t able to get his notes on what he wanted it all to become, though. not really

he doesnt want me touching any of it. gets all weird and paranoid when i mention it, and i had to sneak half of it down to my desk. i guess hes worried ill see his old work from college? which is whatever, ive seen weirder lmao. im an adult, i went to college for a little. ive seen some pretty bizarre shit. some old first person shooter game with half finished code isnt gonna traumatize me with a couple raunchy jokes.

from what ive gathered it was a life sim meets first person shooter, which is pretty neat. im probably gonna redo a lot of the models but half of them dont seem to have names if you guys have any ideas, all i can think of are bad puns right now
