He would counter that first statement, but instead he just silently conclude with an ‘agree to disagree’ notion since he was far more intrigued by the latter half of her words than the first.
“Moon… 2? … You sure that’s a thing…?”
“Yeah! Moon 2! You know, the squeakquel! Moon 2 is what they’ll make when they get tired of the first moon! They’re totally making it. Top government secret.”

Which- to be fair, it was probably a new experience, and Sonic knew that. But he figured it was always easier to break the ice by letting out the elephant (or rather, hedgehog) in the room.

She hadn’t exactly expected him to speak to her. Really, she was only staring because he really looked... familiar to her. Like he was one of those mascot characters from the 90′s that was totally out of date in today’s standards, but still sparks that childhood nostalgia for a better time.
“I-I mean... No? Talking hedgehogs aren’t really common where I’m from...”
Now talking cats on the other hand, that’s her territory.
“Creature Passage: Fresh Sky is coming out in a week! I haven’t even planned how I’m gonna layout my island, what villagers I want... Aaarrgh! I’m so behind! I’m doomed!”

Of course, Ann wasn’t thinking of the ones people made for each other – in truth, she was planning to give each of the thieves something small for the holiday. She was, instead, talking about the 50% off chocolate at stores the day after. Score!
“That’s the only good thing about this holiday... But I never get chocolates from anyone...”
Chocolates from dad really don’t count, either. There is that 50% off sale, but she has to survive through this holiday first, and that’s not gonna be any fun! She feels a little bad about being so negative, though... Ann seems really excited.

“Huh? Isn’t this great!? So beautiful!” Steven stood next to the girl, admiring the sudden displays of hearts in decorations all over the city. “This must be for Love Letter Day! I love it!”
“No... I hate it.”
Her gaze focused on the ground, as if she was trying to hide away from the decorations that surrounded them. Blunt as ever, Futaba’s mumbled voice could barely be heard.
“Ugh... I should stay in my room for this...”
Hearts Wake? Basically Valentine’s Day, and she didn’t want to deal with that. She remembers how people laughed in her face when she tried to give them Valentines.... And how she was one of the few that never got any thing on White Day... So many bad memories.
“New year, new games to play!”
... Once she gets through her backlog, of course.

🌹 Her mind felt way more tranquil as the door closed behind her, letting out a deep sigh as fresh air got into her nostrils. That chat with their leader just as she arrived made everything seem clearer or, at least, not as hopeless and lonely as the minutes she had to endure since her awakening to her arrival at Golden Ward. The fact that practically everyone was here also made everything easier to digest.
Speaking of familiar faces. That long, bright hair that caught her eye was anything but missable. The surprise wasn’t seeing her but seeing her outside. ❝ Taking a breather, aren’t we? ❞
Going outside was still....something being worked on.
She’s gotten better at it, of course, but it was still a bit of a hurdle if she had to be completely honest. The only thing that made it easy on her was the fact that someone from the Phantom Thieves was just a dial away, so if she needed any rescuing or someone to be with, she could easily just text one of them and they would be on their way. It really was nice having a network of people around.
And it seemed like the island wasn’t done bringing in people! A familiar voice reached her ears quickly and the younger girl whipped her body around, coming face to face with a familiar head of poofy hair. At the very least, she could put aside her worries of being outside to connect with her friend.
“Haru! You’re here too?! Wow... Super Bash Bros: Apex was right... Everyone is here!”

She’s not even five feet tall...

It’s a bit surprising that he can even understand her… even more so in that, in a weird way… he’s kinda playing along? Maybe he doesn’t even realize how immersed he is in the game of pocky…

She grabs all five of the sticks that are left. Breathing through her nose, Futaba was more than determined to complete her mission, no matter what. It was like doing a heist... It was like stealing hearts... But, truthfully, perhaps this was her most important mission yet.
“MY LIFE!”
And she puts all five in her mouth. All twenty-five... The madman actually did it!

She is not a coward, Ragna! And somehow she can talk with her mouth full! No manners whatsoever for this brave soldier!
