Comments from the Pokemon XY(Z) English dub cast at Otakon 2016
The main dub cast of the Pokemon XY(Z) anime was at Otakon this year and there were several awesome panels in which several things were said! (Sarah Natochenny as Ash, Haven Paschall as Serena, Michael Liscio Jr. as Clemont, Alyson Leigh Rosenfeld as Bonnie, and Lisa Ortiz as Korrina/misc/Voice Director!)
Unfortunately, recording was not allowed :( but we took good mental notes...We think. :D
On what Serena, Bonnie and Clemont would do next, following the conclusion of the Kalos arc:
Serena's VA: Serena would move into an apartment next to Ash and continually stalk him with a long-range lens. 😏😏😏
Bonnie's VA: Bonnie would go on her own Pokemon journey! And continue to forward personal ads to Clemont and/or sign him up with Tindr. XD Also, Bonnie's team would have Dedenne, Squishy (if she can keep him), Lapras, Goomy/Sliggoo/Goodra, aaand...a couple of others we forgot XD;
Clemont's VA: Clemont would go back to his gym in Lumiose City and (quote) "miss Ash terribly." 😢
Korrina's VA said that Korrina would just continue to run her gym...but was TOTALLY into the idea of Roller Derby once we brought it up! 👍
On Clemont's best invention:
They all agreed it would be the Aipom arm, since it actually works and has not broken (yet). They also acknowledged the awesomeness of Clembot.
On favorite episodes:
Bonnie's VA and Ash's VA really liked the Ninja village episode. "Ninja Bonnie" was a favorite.
Serena's VA liked the episode where Serena wears Ash's clothes. A fan pointed out that Serena must have changed into those clothes in the same tent where Ash was sleeping. Ash's VA commented that Ash is too much of a gentleman to look. 😂
Clemont’s VA liked the Mirror Cave episode and they all agreed that was a favorite after it was brought up. They seemed to enjoy playing their characters “outside the norm.”
On whom each VA would ship their character with:
Ash's VA: Ash is only interested in Pokemon. 😌
Bonnie's VA: Bonnie is primarily interested in finding someone for Clemont, of course! 😇
Clemont's VA: With Clembot 😏
Serena's VA: With "Professor Sexypants" [Professor Sycamore] 😘

Other:
They did an improv argument about which Pokemon was best. It was short and silly, but entertaining.
Ash's VA confessed Ash's feelings for an older Serena upon request, saying things like "I'm having these FEELINGS I don't understand" and "I want to kiss you" 😳
Clemont’s VA has been a fan of Pokemon since he was a kid, so this was like a dream job for him.
Ash’s VA talked about her initial audition, how she cried when she thought she didn’t get the part, and having to deal with a bunch of hate mail from fans who were angry about the voice replacement in 2006. She must have grown thick skin from that experience because she was a SUPER CHILL and awesome person. 😎
A BLOOPER REEL exists or has existed at some point in the past, but sadly, it will probably never see the light of day. :[
Tidbits from the autograph signing table:
Clemont's VA, who also plays Trekkie Monster in Avenue Q, was too much of a gentleman to say "The internet is for porn" in Clemont's voice, but he did say he was amenable to doing it if we could catch him on the con floor outside of the official event. SADLY, we were not able to. :’<
Serena's VA is friends IRL with Miette's VA, which made recording their arguments a lot of fun.
We learned that Nurse Joy is recast every time the region changes. Bonnie’s VA played Nurse Joy in B&W, but she was delighted by the XY episode where Bonnie put on a Nurse Joy outfit and felt like it was made just for her!
We made this for the English Pokemon XY(Z) cast (Michael Liscio Jr, Sarah Natochenny, Haven Paschall, Lisa Ortiz, and Alyson Leigh Rosenfeld) and gave them each a copy at Otakon 2016!!! And got them to sign our own copies, woohoo! 👍👍👍
@citrus-cactus did the inks, @opallene did the coloring. Our first real art collab!
