omg I remember this! I think it was an ask game about ongoing wips and at the time I was working on two non-seven years christian/toto projects! one was a 2022 long fic about them getting together after the 2021 season (shit ton of angst) and the other was a fic that i actually still think about from time to time thatās kinda magical realism adjacent. the idea was that there are two parallel timelines, one where christian is married to geri (normal life) and one where christian is married to toto (not seven years) and the two christianās somehow swap lives and he has to deal with his new reality of a) suddenly not being married to toto anymore and b) suddenly being married to toto. i kinda love the idea cause thereās so much potential for angst and hurt and comfort!!!! in the real life timeline, toto is married to susie and christian finds himself suddenly yearning for his husband from afar, and in the other timeline heās Christian Horner, red bull team principal and Straight Man, and he suddenly has to navigate being married to his greatest rival (who turns out to beā¦. kinda great actually). i just think itās so fun, plus think about the moment when the two christianās finally switch back!

this is an old one i waited to answer because it popped up in my inbox right before i posted the final chapter of 7ylp and there is literally a scene like that in there where christian finds a photo of himself in totoās wallet so YES anon you were right!!!!!!! absolutely they are!!! i think maybe christian until that moment didnāt have one in his wallet but puts one in there the next chance he gets. he loved the gesture, he loved that it wasnāt in any way performative cause he didnāt even know it was in there and so he doesnāt tell toto either.
fun little side quest tho cause when he goes to look for an old headshot of toto in totoās office at home, he accidentally opens pandoraās box - he finds one million old photos that toto just always put in that one cupboard and never looked at again. he sits on the floor in front of that cabinet for literal hours looking through all of them and thatās where toto finds him, like āthere you are, iāve been looking everywhere for youā what are you doing????ā at that point christian has already pocketed minimum thirty old photos of toto in his 20s
