we're starting strong with a wholeass timeline of my cosplays over the years. These are cringey until the later years, so i'mma be putting them under a cut BUT i'm very proud of how far i've come :)
i also have little notes under each year recounting what i loved/remembered about these times. i've missed cosplay and conventions more than i've realized.
i'm excited to get back to it this year!!
lol i still remember my first time with wig care, we took a hot as hell straightener to that poor pink wig. iirc, we had to get a new one lol
yk, i also did soubi but i never did find the pictures to prove it. unfortunate :( but i did love meiko, and i did her many more times over the years lol best vocaloid by far!!
oh! many of these actually have cmvs that are still up! :D italy, luka, and panty, all three of them have cmvs attached to them lol
russia was supposed to have one, but i never finished it unfortunately.
so this is the cosplay my namesake outstrider comes from, and i still love it to this very day <3
i don't have the cosplay anymore (boooooo) but i would be so down to get it again. i miss the little shit and i love him dearly lol i even have a tattoo on me specifically for this boy

honestly my BUSIEST year as a cosplayer! XD i really enjoyed all of these! dasoku is actually probably the only cosplay i've ever made completely by hand. i usually tend to buy the rest of my cosplays, which isn't a bad thing, but it would be cool to know how to make them and move into cosplay contests. maybe one day. for now i'm just going to have to settle with having super high standards, to the point that it's hard to find cosplays for sale that i'll grab (it took me FOREVER to find an accurate haku lol)
this was also the first year i wore ib! another well-worn, well-loved cosplay! i still have her, but atm she's in a storage unit awaiting the moment she returns to me. truly one of my favorite cosplays! i also still have haku :)
Viking Sweden was super cool in the sense that it was all handmade and embroidered, and i was in a big group with all the Nordics and it was AMAZING!
Being able to do higher level cosplays like Ciel Phantomhive and KH2 Riku were also absolutely awesome and I enjoyed those photoshoots so immensely! (I was in Reno for the Riku one :D )
wedding petra was...mean of me i admit LOL but i really loved how she turned out! litwick was cute but ultimately, the thing i worked hardest on was my little flame lol
ah the year of d.va! i think i still have the coat i handpainted for her somewhere, but i've more or less retired her. she was amazing to cosplay as, though, and this specific photoshoot was hella fun!
so!! with umi, i was actually part of a love live! event where i learned so many love live dances and danced to them on stage, in a huge group, with standing room only seating! it was electric, and performing is something i always love! (despite my perfectionistic tendencies lol)
i wore rin....once aha. i love her to death tho and was v happy wearing her! i just lost the shirt somewhere in a move and never got to wear her again.
that legion mask was actually handmade!! but everything else was more or less storebought. legion is one of my favorite dbd killers (and WAS my favorite at the time), but then trickster came out and the winds changed lol
cheshire was really fun to do! but again, the wig was the hardest part of that whole ordeal lol
So after 2016, things started to die down, money was getting tight, the big 2020 hit, and i stopped cosplaying as much. i had one big last hurrah in 2022 with a dream cosplay of mine being zelda!! she came out so good and i loved the lyre i got for her ;; even if i think i could have done better at the wig lol
monika is another well-worn, well-loved cosplay! she's such an interesting antagonist, and i loved everything about how that game wrapped up! lol maybe i'll cosplay her again someday, i'm pretty sure i still have her
neopolitan i only wore once because the boots were too small for me, and then i lost the rest of her in a move aha
i still have tohru! tohru is actually my newest cosplay ("newest" considering i got her years ago), and i've only been able to wear her a few times, but she's so cute! maybe one day i'll do kyo or momiji lol
