Maybe I'm the crazy one for this but even if a show or movie is a special interest, I rarely learn anything about the actual production or the cast. Because the cast and crew isn't my special interest. The show is.

I discovered this because I'm watching RWBY with my friend and it's her first time watching, and she knows so much more about the behind the scenes and all the voice actors than I do. I only consistently remember 4 voice actors names. I'm deep into the lore of the series and all the characters and their unique stories and everything. But ask me who plays Weiss, a character whose name is literally in the title of the show? No idea. I know her name is Kara but her last name escapes me. I usually know if something bad happens, like I knew that Monty Oum passed during volume 3 and that Qrow's voice actor had to be replaced and all that, but otherwise I usually just... don't pay attention to the cast and crew because they aren't who I'm interested in?

Anyways I think it just shows that people have incredibly different ways of engaging with media, and it's important to remember that autistic people aren't always experts in our special interests lol
