NeutralityTale story (Inferling, Runeon and Liriac)
A NeutralityTale, il existait deux lacs : Le lac Or, remplissant d’espoir ceux qui s’en approchait, et le lac Argent, qui au contraire semait le désespoir dans le cœur de ceux qui pouvait être à proximité.
Inferling était le gardien du lac Argent, et son jumeau Runeon surveillait le lac Or pour empêcher quiconque de s'y baigner, car la pureté de l'espoir et du désespoir de ces lacs pourraient tuer une âme en un instant. Quant à leur sœur Liriac, elle veillait sur l’équilibre entre l’espoir et le désespoir dans le monde, utilisant sa magie pour partager équitablement ces émotions à travers l'univers, et accessoirement veillait à ce que ses frères ne se disputent pas et fassent leur travail.
Mais atteinte d’une maladie inconnue, Liriac s’affaiblissait de jour en jour. Runeon ne supportait pas l'idée de la perdre et laissa tomber son rôle de gardien pour chercher dans tous les AUs un moyen de la guérir. Mais rien à faire. Un jour, Inferling trouva Runeon avec le corps de leur sœur dans ses bras, en larme. Elle était morte, ses os avait pris une couleur cuivré, comme de la rouille, avant de partir en poussière entre les mains de son frère.
Runeon ne s’en remettra jamais, et voulu mourir à son tour en se plongeant dans le lac Argent, s'en voulant de ne pas avoir trouvé de remède à temps. Inferling l’en empêchera, et tombera dedans en le repoussant loin avec sa magie du lac. Runeon sautera à son tour pour essayer de le sauver, ne voulant pas en plus perdre son frère et finir seul.
Inferling survivra étonnamment, sa magie et son âme aspirant tout le désespoir du lac jusqu'à la dernière goutte. Mais il se retrouva couvert d'une matière étrange et lisse, un peu comme la corruption de Nightmare, et depuis il traîne une aura négative autour de lui et est devenu lui même le représentant du désespoir au lieu d'en être le gardien.
Quant à Runeon, son âme s'est retrouvée piégé dans celle d'Inferling, se retrouvant à être dans sa tête et à communiquer avec lui par pensée. Pensant que peut être le lac Or pourrait séparer leurs âme, les deux décidèrent de se jeter dedans, mais l'âme de Runeon aspira tout le lac et fusionna avec celle de son jumeau.
Ayant vu cela, les habitant de NeutralityTale chassèrent Inferling, pensant qu'il avait tué Runeon et asséché les deux lacs pour les détruire, et ceux malgré ses explications. Alors ils partirent, lui et son frère avec qui il partageait désormais le même corps.
Inferling et Runeon ne le savent pas encore, mais ils peuvent interchangé qui contrôle le corps. De ce fait, quand Runeon prend le contrôle, il retrouve son apparence, ses pouvoirs, et rayonne d'espoir, étant devenu l'espoir incarné. Mais c'est plus souvent Inferling qui est là que Runeon.

At NeutralityTale, there were two lakes : Or Lake, filling with hope all those who approach it, and Argent Lake, which instead sowed despair in the hearts of those who might be nearby.
Inferling was the Guardian of the Argent Lake, and Runeon of the Or Lake. They monitored the lakes so that no one could get too close, at the risk of dying. As for their sister Liriac, she watched over the balance between hope and despair in the world using her magic to share these emotions equally across the universe, and ensured that his brothers did their job.
But suffering from an unknown illness, Liriac grew weaker day by day. Runeon couldn't bear the idea of ​​losing her and abandoned his role as guardian to search all the AUs for a way to heal her. But nothing can be done. One day, Inferling found Runeon with their sister's body in his arms, crying. She died, her bones had taken on a copper color, like rust, before turning to dust in the hands of his brother.
Runeon will never recover, and wanted to die in turn by drowning in Argent Lake, blaming himself for not having found a cure in time. Inferling will push him away with his magic from the lake, and fall into it in his place. Runeon will jump in to try to save him, not wanting to lose his brother and end up alone.
Inferling surprisingly survives, his magic and soul sucking every last drop of despair out of the lake. But he found himself covered in a strange and smooth material, a bit like Nightmare's corruption, and since then he has carried a negative aura around him and has himself become the representative of despair instead of being its guardian.
As for Runeon, his soul became trapped in that of Inferling, finding himself being in his head and communicating with him through thought. Thinking that perhaps Or Lake could separate their souls, the two decided to throw themselves into it, but Runeon's soul sucked up the entire lake, and merged with the soul of his twin.
Having seen this, the habitants of NeutralityTale hunted Inferling, believing that he had killed Runeon and dried up the two lakes to destroy them, and those despite his explanations. So they left, he and his brother with whom he now shared the same body.
Inferling and Runeon don't know it yet, but they can swap who controls the body. As a result, when Runeon takes control, he regains his appearance, his powers, and radiates hope, having become hope incarnate. But it's more often Inferling who is there than Runeon.
