unabashed awe coaxes gazes descent & jubilant miens withdrawal. a muted sigh escapes & drags on as he’s forced envision the potential mayhem of sherry & lyon’s oh so delightful offspring. ❛ tax evader… interesting little rascals… ❜ gray remarked, while silently confirming they’re to never visit the guild hall- as it is guaranteed they’d pick up a whole lot more. nevertheless, ones biased endearment readies taut & broad; nary a drop of enmity towards them. he’s as intent now as he was before their blessed arrival in this world, to cherish & covet the prepubescent duo for as long as life permits.
❛ yeah well, can’t say i was having any doubts about that. ❜ he proclaimed with words weaved of pure credence, ensuring his gaze befalls sherry’s line of sight. contrary to their thunderous brawls & infamous rivalry, gray holds the elder quite high, & has long since perceived his compassionate, caring nature (buried beneath an obtuse piece of shit). ❛ still, suppose it’s been a good while since the whole gang gathered though. ❜
ocean blues rested on her brother-in-law’s face and amusement spread across her way just as the sun began to peek into the garden, slowly daring to sneak around the corner. ‘ ‘ i do agree --- it has been much too long, ’ ’ she said as she stirred more sugar into her almost cold tea; it was beginning to get bitter, once more. ‘ ‘ i do feel more comfortable with the idea of travelling with the twins to stay somewhere that is not jura’s apartment overnight. we’ve been managing the terrible twos quite well, so far. but i am not bringing my children within twenty feet of your guild, no offense. ’ ’
she had always been protective --- of the somewhat odd family she had found after her parents and grandparents had died, of her guild, of lyon. and just when she had thought she could not be more protective, she had found out that motherhood meant that there was no limit to how far she would go to keep her children safe. and while she did trust gray around her twins, she could not say the same for his guild, its rambunctious reputation was something she had been acutely aware of since she had been seven and nothing had ever managed to disprove it.
‘ ‘ speaking of--- ’ ’ sherry paused as she heard the familiar, muffled tap-tap-tap of damaris’ tiny bare feet against the stone. it was almost unbearably cute, the way dark silver brows were knitted together as her daughter struggled to get a hold on the empty bench to keep herself from falling. ‘ ‘ ma chère fille, ’ ’ the woman addressed the toddler as she offered a hand, an arm as a pillar, ‘ ‘ i believe you are supposed to nap with your brother and your papa, non? ’ ’
