AAVE/Ebonics is a proper dialect with history. It has rules. It doesn’t make you unintelligent, and it wasn’t invented by the Internet.
I’m so tired of all the miseducation and misappropriation around it.

Some semantics work while I watch some stardew valley streams 🌸
So excited to start reading more books!
Currently reading: Mansfield Park - Jane Austen
Some maple cream cold brews from a local shop on our day off from studying🍂
Tonight iPad notes are on syntax, so far my favorite in the field of linguistics 💛
The new quarter hasn’t started yet, but I wanted to get a head start the week before it starts for my Greek Mythology class. So far the class is very interesting, and I can’t wait for my first lecture!
Also, for those who celebrate have a merry Christmas!

Kind of in love with this habit tracker I made for December 🌿❤️
Decided to come to the library before class to read and I’m having a wonderful time.
Book: Emma - Jane Austen
04.26.21 | Hello, everyone! I hope the past couple of weeks have been treating you all well. A number of things happened to me. There was a power interruption in my area so I had to go to a cafe in order to attend my classes & take two tests. It was the strangest experience & something I never thought would happen (but given the state of the world, it’s not even that unusual?). Also, due to the absence of my group’s actual leader for our presentation, I ended up with the position by default. Which is always great.
I have some important exams coming up soon & I’ve just been reviewing (& panicking) for them. That could either mean more studying content from me, or complete silence for the next few weeks. If anyone’s on the same boat, good luck to you & we’ve got this!!
By the way, hello to so many new friends!! I really appreciate all of you who are following me! Gosh, I hope my posts are worth your time ♡

100 Days of Productivity - Day 96
Got my November spread ready a while back in anticipation for exam season. Turns out maybe there was no point because I've been putting everything off and working on anything but exam prep.
