Reminder : just because you failed something, it doesn’t make you a failure.
Failed a test? You are not stupid/dumb. You just have to review the material in another way in order to understand it, people have different ways of understanding.
Failed a semester? You aren’t dumb either. It’s easy to believe we are dumb, a failure, in a subject we thought we were good at, but it’s not the case. First of all, believing that we are a stupid/incapable actually tends to make us fail because we stress ourselves and don’t even try. As I said earlier, maybe you didn’t find the right explanation for your way of understanding. (My mom, a teacher, is the one who said “There are no bad students. There are only incompetent teachers.” which means that, if you are trying hard and still not succeeding, well you just haven’t found the right way to explain and you have to ask your teacher/someone else for another way to explain) Or you just haven’t attended enough or whatever and in that case, even if you’re really good, you can’t make out the material just by imagining it if you haven’t heard about it right?
Failed something, like you feel made you fail your entire life? Take a deep breath. In a few years, maybe even way earlier, you won’t even think about it. It may feel very significant to you know, but it won’t matter later, trust me, you will change and grow.
We are not defined by our actions. Like, one bad action doesn’t make us a “bad” person, one good action doesn’t make us a “good” person, and so a failure doesn’t make us a failure. You can’t define a person by “good”, “bad”, “failure”, we continuously change, grow, and evolve. You got this.
