I haven't been this obsessed with a BL since Not Me, KinnPorsche, and To My Star 2 all aired from Dec 2021 till July 2022. It was 7 months of Lu Feng type of obsession.
BITCH don't you have a JOB to go to?!
The Lion, The Witch, and the Audacity of This Bitch
I would've been like: "BITCH, you're lucky I'm even acknowledging you at all and allowing you to follow me around like puppy. You better be happy with what you get."
Yi Chen really had a rich heir AND heiress interested in him. Meanwhile, I can't even get someone with a normal income to look my way.
Some of y'all just can't accept the fact that Lu Feng was always a black flag. Y'all just wanna act like he's some white knight, cause he was willing to leave his abusive family to be with Yi Chen - but love ignoring that everything about their relationship was on HIS terms, not Yi Chens. Let's talk about their living situation (you know the thing that happened after Lu Feng SA'd Yi Chen in his office): -HE moved into Yi Chen's place... without Yi Chen's permission. -HE got rid of Yi Chen's things, because HE thought they were "old, worn out, and ugly"... without Yi Chen's permission. -HE replaced Yi Chen's bed... without Yi Chen's permission. -HE had Yi Chen's roommate move out... without Yi Chen's permission. Everything in their relationship has been on Lu Feng's terms and at Lu Feng's pace... and the second Yi Chen finally starts to show any kind of resistance, Lu Feng responds with violence. And don't even get me started on some of y'all acting like Zhuo Lan is the villain. But once again, if Lu Feng was ugly or Yi Chen was a woman, none of this would even be discussed anyway.
I actually wished he said this to him in the series, NGL.
Someone on twitter, even after ep 9 aired, had the AUDACITY to say "we don't see his [Lu Feng's] POV of what he went through!" BITCH, I don't give a flying fuck about his POV. NOTHING Yi Chen did warranted what Lu Feng did to him.
At first I wanted Yi Chen to have amnesia, cause I thought that would hurt Lu Feng even more... but then I remembered Lu Feng would probably tell him stuff like: "We're boyfriends and we live together, you love me and I love you! We're actually planning on leaving the country to get married!" "Your brother broke his leg when he "accidently" tripped down the stairs! Or so I've heard, because EYE certainly wasn't there when it happened! But you hate him anyway, because he left the country and abandoned you!" "That woman who says she's your ex-wife? She's a liar!" "Your mother died accepting us, she actually told me I was the best son-in-law ever, and she begged me to stay with you forever! And I will!"
And unfortunately (for him), that's all he can do. He can't be forward with Yi Chen and make moves on him, like he did in school. He's lost that right.
Because as we can see, Yi Chen is still afraid of him... justifiably so.
So now, he's basically a glorified dog, waiting/asking for whatever scraps Yi Chen is willing to give him.
And look: refusing the noodles he offered, not wearing the ring he put on his finger (while he was in a coma BTW), and wearing his glasses - something Lu Feng liked to see him without. It's almost like he put a wall up, and Lu Feng is gonna have to work in order to tear it down. Now, we only got 2 eps left, so IDK if we're gonna see any of that work - but it's nice to think about!
Poor Yi Chen never watched KinnPorsche. Cause all he had to do was put the scissors to his own neck, and Lu Feng would've been all type of "I'm sorry" and "please don't leave me I'm begging you."
I'm sad that we're not gonna get (I think) vol. 6 & 7 in Double Helix for Lu Feng and Yi Chen, but I'm glad they sprinkled in some happy scenes from those volumes during their happy era!
I don't think anything mattered to him anymore. I feel like this was the point where he became completely and utterly broken. 💔💔💔💔
I miss this diva. Times were a lot simpler when she was around. Hopefully she's been thriving these last 5 years.
Friendly reminder to the "Lu FeNg GaVe uP eVeRyThInG tO bE wItH yI cHeN!" crowd: Yi Chen literally told him they should break up, so he won't have to give anything up, and he can go back to his life of luxury. And Lu Feng responded by dragging him to an empty hospital room, tying him to a bed, and gaging him so no one could hear him scream for help.
Yes that's right, you remember. Remember what he said to you. Let that guilt consume you and eat you alive. He was broken too. He lost loved ones too. But you didn't care, because like Zhuo Lan said:
And now look at you, regulated to sitting in your car and watching him talk with and hug his ex wife, hoping he acknowledges your existence at the end of the day.
Was your revenge worth it, Lu Feng?
