  frost blue: does your muse enjoy the snow and cold? or are they the type to enjoy summer more?

Sandalphon is the type to enjoy summer more, he doesn’t care for being too cold and can handle the heat rather well most days. Though if it was snowing he also would, really like it because he hasn’t had much of a chance to enjoy snow.

He just wouldn’t care about the cold part of it all, but at least hes wearing enough clothing!

   tea orange: what is something that your muse is fascinated with?

This one is easy, to just say hes fascinated with coffee (because he is) but I also think he would enjoy bird watching a lot. Just seeing all the types of birds and how free they are reminds him of when he was a younger archangel and had the time to watch them, sometimes even watching them with Lucifer.

But now he mostly does it just because its a good way to pass the time, since he can’t just sleep the time away.

    honey: when your muse loves someone (whether it be romantic, platonic, or familial love), how do they show it?

Sandalphon is, bad at showing that he loves someone. Mostly because his own heart seems to fight him every step of the way of caring for someone. He doesn’t trust his own feelings and then he doesn’t trust others but the best way of him showing he cares is if hes willing to make them coffee or even just listen.

And if he really loves them (mostly Lucifer’s case) he would do anything to get them to look at him, just to be with him. Even if that clearly was his downfall in the past and part of the reason he can’t trust his heart anymore.

his response might not have been expected, but it didn’t matter. lancelot could handle the sharp glare and even his irritated tone; the stranger didn’t owe him any pleasantries. his response could have been kinder, true, but compared to percival’s general disposition, it was passable.

✦ –– “ i see. there’s been a rise in the monster population, so try to be careful. ”

for a brief moment, the knight captain wondered if he should offer to escort the other man to wherever his destination might be, but his attitude made it clear that it wouldn’t be well received. his sour opinion of sierokarte meant that veiling it as a request for help with his duties wouldn’t work, either. still, making an attempt couldn’t hurt.

✦ –– “ it might make traveling difficult. if you’re in a hurry, i wouldn’t mind taking a detour. ”

     A rise in monster population? Not like that that mattered to Sandalphon, most monsters would outright avoid him even with his powers locked. Only a few would attempt to try and take a nibble out of him, but those were just the stupid ones. He only makes a low grumble at the others words.

     “I don’t need help, you would just make any of the monsters think you are an easy meal.” The archangel answers with clear disdain for the idea. Seems the blue knight isn’t going to get anywhere with this guy anytime soon.

     “In fact, you wearing such a color like that is only going to make you stand out, you are just asking to become a monster’s lunch aren’t you?” It might be coming more clear that hes just going to keep being rude to try and get Lancelot to give up on him, but if that works it will have to be up to the knight captain himself.

It isn’t hard for someone’s scent to cling to a particular place; an action as simple as brushing against leaves or taking a rest in a patch of grass is enough to leave an obvious indicator of their presence, especially if they aren’t meticulous about covering their tracks. Of course, mortals like Loki’s toys would be too careless to worry about things like that. Having come across their scent definitely meant the other primal had at least passed through an area where her targets had been.

“You might have seen someone? Hurry up and tell me, then!” It’s about time she got a lead from this useless primal. She doesn’t want to spend anymore time on this rock than necessary; skulking around and spying on islanders is far from her fancy. But given their chat so far, Fenrir doesn’t anticipate he’ll give up the information so easily. Her eyes narrow. “Unless you want another kick to the head to help you remember?”

     “Even i know threatening someone makes it less likely for them to answer you.” Sandalphon is getting more and more to the point of not caring about the other dog-primal’s threats. Sure they could hurt him but did he really care right now? Somehow the answer was no.

     “Perhaps I will tell you if you don’t kick me, and say why you are looking for them?” Really it was a simple trade offer, information for information. If Fenrir thought about it, there shouldn’t be anything wrong with this offer.

         Guilt digs into his gut, releasing its hold only when the blond forces his gaze elsewhere. “I haven’t been running away,” he mutters, almost pouting himself now. “Besides, this is about you. On my own, you’re right; it doesn’t really matter to me if you come bumbling up to me. But,” and this was a heavy but, “you just cost me a job. A well-paying one. And dinner, by the way.”

         The young man’s stomach growls as if to attest his hunger. Stan grimaces to himself before turning to cross his arms and huff at Sandalphon. “So, uh, yeah. You did ruin something. You soiled it, and I’ll suffer for it.”

         Not that he expects the other to feel guilt or take responsibility for his brazen actions; he’d sooner see Aliza take up boxing, Stan thinks, but the young man is nothing if not whiny and anxious. Going to bed hungry is one of the most annoying things he’s experienced, even if it is often enough to get used to.

     Cost him a job? Well he didn’t see anything himself. Still he doesn’t feel that bad since he doesn’t really know hunger pains the same as Stan does. Though part of him reminds him that Stan did give him food one time... Thats a new thought for him.

     “Hm, if you are hungry then what monster could you kill to get some food then?” Sandalphon wouldn’t know what monsters were edible around this area and hes not offering to kill it or to help fix Stan’s job but its some kind of step.

     “Besides, It didn’t look like you were doing anything to me when i cam up to you.” This part is muttered, and an huff is added to it. Seems he really didn’t mean to mess up whatever the Erune was doing.

“Shut up.” She snaps, fangs bared in warning for a fraction of a second. Loki was prone to making jabs about how his ‘pet’ smelled like a wet dog, an insult she was forced to put up with due to her position. But this isn’t Loki - there’s nothing stopping her from ripping his throat out… except for the fact that he might have valuable information. Fenrir’s tail twitches in obvious irritation but she doesn’t say anything more.

“What I mean is, you smell like the pesky skyfarer I’m looking for.” She clarifies. Though, perhaps ‘pesky’ is too light of a term to use. To have the skydom crumble around her is one of the few things Fenrir takes pleasure in, but what mysterious ability that girl possessed sealed her power when she was weakened by the rest of her crew. The memory of constantly being humiliated makes her blood boil. “Have you seen a kid with an annoying lizard pass by here?” 

     Sandalphon isn’t scared by her fangs, he has had worse beasts bear their fangs at him in the past. Besides he decides to note down that his dog doesn’t like their smell to be brought up, it might be important enough to know for later. Not that he currently can think of any reason why.

     “Skyfarer?” If he was nice he might give up that he did know someone like that, but he was not nice. “I might have seen someone like that” Is all he answers, not saying when or where. Though knowing he still somehow had the smell of those two on him... made him less than happy. The wolf primal must have a very good nose or Gran really smelled and it stuck to anyone he fought.

“I sure as hell didn’t come here to become buddies with some half-rate primal.” She replies with a snort. Nor was she interested in the prospect; unless he could somehow break her chains, there was no need for unnecessary fraternizing. …Ugh, she could hear Loki’s chastising already - Why’re you so unfriendly, Fenrir? You should have fun while you’re off your leash for once! The thought makes her teeth grind.

“I’m here on business that’s none of yours.” She had been sent by Loki to investigate the trail left by the group of skyfarers who took his interest but only had an unreliable tidbit of information to go off of; she suspected it was just busywork while he was occupied with… whatever meager responsibilities he cared to shoulder as emperor. 

Fenrir takes a moment to sniff the air, nose wrinkling in disgust after a brief assessment. Faint traces of a familiar scent stick to the other primal, and one that isn’t entirely pleasant. “You reek.”

     ‘The only half-rate primal I see here is you’ Sandalphon wants to say, rather badly but hes also smart enough to not try and start a fight. This primal is clearly... quick to anger just by how they are acting. For now he just folded his arms, huffing slightly at the way she doesn’t tell him anything.

     “You don’t smell much better.“ He finally says something back, after all he can only take so much before his own anger piles up. Its probably good that he can’t smell as well as he expects the other primal can, or he would just have to deal with the smell of dog.

     “And if you don’t tell me what you are here for, and you only plan to keep trying to insult me then you should move on.” At least Fenrir isn’t the only unfriendly one, but really this is what she gets.

even now, after months of traveling to new lands both with and without the grandcypher crew, lancelot felt out of place. he belonged in feendrache, at the king’s side and readily available to defend the citizens of his beloved home country at a moment’s notice, not gallivanting across the skies.

such independence was foreign and strange, though there was still a routine in taking missions from sierokarte. a majority of any funds he earned would be sent off to his homeland immediately, as per their arrangement, and would be used to aid in reparations after the most recent crises. the same went for any within the dragon knights that had been scattered about the skydom—it truly was a curious thing, puzzling out how one woman could simultaneously run so many stores.

it took several moments before lancelot shook his head, as if the physical motion would clear away his unnecessary thoughts. for the time being, he traveled alone, tasked with clearing out a portion of the growing monster population that traveled far too close to town. focusing on the task at hand was of the utmost importance, and soon enough, he spotted another man among the trees—perhaps another knight? his armor certainly fit someone of a similar station to the captain, after all, and he might have been assigned to help out. lancelot’s approach was swift, far faster than most would expect given the armor he wore, and he couldn’t help but smile at the stranger.

✦ –– “ i assumed this forest was empty, save for monsters and wildlife, of course. are you simply passing through? or did miss sierokarte request more assistance in dealing with the unruly monster population? ”

     Sandalphon for a while thinks the other knight might just walk away from this area without noticing him, and hopes that will be true. After all the other looks rather deep in thought. However luck, like always is not on his side when the other clearly spots him in the trees. He also didn’t expect them to move so quickly though the trees, but at least now he knows that whoever this is has some speed to them.

     He does glare ever so slightly when the other starts to talk to him, right away giving off a vibe of hes not too interested. The glare seems to even get stronger when Sierokarte’s name is said. 

     “No, i’m not here to help with anything that woman wants.” With that, hes giving off the answer that hes just passing though, and that he doesn’t like the smaller lady the knight spoke of. After all she had been a bit, annoying before so he wouldn’t have the best feelings towards her.

I think one i haven’t used or gone on about here is my headcanon that Sandalphon does like to listen to music. Not so much the singing parts to most songs but just the music parts. If you ever caught him off guard or in a very good mood he might just be humming something he heard and liked!

His music tastes tend to enjoy things with harps the most and surprisingly more classical music.

            “I think you missed the point of what I was trying to say.” The longer he sits, the more he can feel weariness seep into his body. Stan barely manages to keep the yawn from his response, as flat as it was. The yawn escapes regardless, and the young erune decides to fold; his feet hit the soft earth with a quiet thwump, arms stretched out over his head in the next moment.

            As he stretches, he realizes something: Sandalphon sought him out. A shoulder pops with a soft grunt, then he faces the angel fully, his expression dangerously curious. “Why are you here? I know you’re the type to ruin other people trying to do their job, but now you’re just pouting instead of threatening me.”

           A pause, like he’s cut himself off. Opening his mouth any further is probably a bad idea.

     Sandalphon looks to Stan when the other gets up, watching him stretch with a bored look on his face. It turns into slightly more annoyed look when the Erune turns to look at him, and then a glare at being told he was pouting. He wasn’t doing such a thing, this was just normal for him. 

     “Why does it matter for you to know why i’m here? Its not like i’m trying to ruin anything anyway.” He avoids the question, because he doesn’t want to say any reason. He doesn’t know if any of them would be correct and have him willing to say it.

     “If you want me to be away from you, you could just run off again.” Not that Stan had ever really run away from the archangel. Mostly just avoided or was busy with something else, like monster hunting.

           Another flick, this time it definitely leans more towards amusement. His head turns in time to see the other face away from him, as though he’s pouting. Having another at his mercy like this, verbally anyway, sheds some light on why other people enjoyed picking on himself so much as a kid.

           But Stan is not a child, he’s a grown-ass erune. Any desire to further tease Sandalphon is kicked to the curb, especially when his ears catch the muddled response. He tenses a bit, then turns back to his previous post of watching for his mark in the distance. 

           “Hasn’t it, though?” Ears strain for any malicious presence. He finds none. “I haven’t heard you bring up how I’m a lowly mortal after I kicked your ass. That’s progress, I think.”

           Yeah, okay – he’s a grown-up, but sometimes you just have to have pride in your accomplishments.

     Sandalphon doesn’t even know that Stan glanced at him, he is too busy staring at the ground to notice how much moving the Erune is doing. He kicks some dirt up, before answering the other.

     “If you want me to call you a mortal, I can since thats what you are.” He doesn’t say anything about lowly, since it is true Stan has beat him twice. Though the first time was more, impressive really. 

     A few excuses run though his head for why the Erune behind him won those two times, but he doesn’t say them this time. Its not like Stan hasn’t heard them all already. Seems he is learning a little, if only around the fluffy-eared boy.
