Deep thinking about depression and I think for myself is what depression for myself, comes from the many years of putting on mask and pretending to be someone just to make someone esle happy. Putting on so many mask, it comes to a point you forget who you are and start to believe youre one of the mask you put on. On my journey to get healed and get back into the light, I must let go of my masks. Its okay to fall down. Its okay to get scars and it's okay to cry. Its okay to feel like nothing is going right and its okay to want to lay down and rest. But whats not okay is to give up. Its not okay to lose your faith. Dont give up on love and dont let your hope run out. Yes youre in a pit and yes its taking everything that you are, to hang on, but know that youre not alone. You have God, who loves you beyond all measure, who is fighting your battles, who calls you beloved and who is for you. He will transform you and give you strength, give you the courage you need to face the long hard battles. He promises not to walk out and He promises to heal and help you but you cant give up. Your story is going to help someone when they lost their way. Today im dressed sort of nice and off into nature but a thought has popped in my head for about a week now and it's why do we Christian have so much self guilt? Why do we keep on beating ourselves up for things God jas forgiven us for? Why is it we say to forgive our Neighbors, show them love and show them compassion and kindness and understanding but towards ourselves, we are not the same? Apart of the healing comes the realization, that you have stopped caring about yourself, you dont love yourself, and that you had given up on hope. The thing im realizing is you got to look within yourself and look at your heart, and with the help of the Holy Spirit, is see what lies you believe. What weeds have taken root in your heart. Its time to replace those old lies, those weeds of hatred, of doubt, of bitterness, and replace them with truth. Its time to ask God to help you to not only know but believe who the bible says you are. You are not trash. You are amazing and made for so much more. Stop looking back. Stop believing the lies that God cant forgive you and stop believing the lies you wont be healed. Forgive yourself and love yourself, be compassionate and be kind towards yourself. Know that you are strong because God makes you strong. Dont ever give up and don't ever forget that you have God anx you have people in your life that are cheering for you.
