“That’s not what I meant.” Takumi’s voice becomes quiet at the contact. He holds on to Leon’s arms, head turning and giving a smile back, the dimness of the room complimenting their otherwise shadowed features. He rubs Leon’s arms soothingly. “Maybe heading to bed is the best thing for you right now.” Though, even though Takumi suggests this, his grip tightens.

It’s quick -- subtle, and he turns his attention right back to Takumi, who’s amber eyes shine lambently in the dimmed library. He hears the quiet hum of the fire place -- the wood crackling under the flame’s heat as he falls further into the embrace.
“You know as well as I do that I’d much rather be in your company, Takumi,” Leon says, crimson leveling that amber with a silent spark -- sparing the detail that Takumi didn’t want him to go as another motivation to stay. But it was a challenge of some sorts, like he dared Takumi to chase him away.
