St. Francis Day brings back wonderful memories of Assisi. I am so thankful I got to see where this great Saint was baptized, where he prayed, where he went to mass-all in the city in which he lived. I also am very thankful for the people I got to spend this time with in Assisi as well! I pray for God's blessings today especially for them. St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us! Today we celebrate Saint Clare who I was fortunate enough to visit at her tomb here in Assisi, Italy. Some of my fondest memories of Italy were learning of St. Clare and praying inside her Basilica, and forming friendships and memories with new friends here in the Piazza of Santa Chiara. I am very thankful for this experience! Saint Clare, pray for us! (at Piazza Santa Chiara..)

Today, we honor St. Alphonsus Liguori, my patron saint I chose at confirmation. His knowledge and desire for knowledge of his Catholic Christian Faith is what caught my eye, but what cemented my decision to take on his name was his courage to stand up for what's right-not for his own power of being right, but because he knew there is no such thing as a "personal truth." There is only truth, and he pursued that one truth with his entire body and soul. Happy St. Alphonsus Day, everyone! "I Love Jesus Christ, and that is why I am on fire with the desire to give Him souls, first of all my own, and then an incalculable number of others."

In the top left, you will see us enjoying a FANTASTIC game between Chelsea and PSG in Charlotte. Below that, you see 4 men who spent 2.5 hours on the side of the road walking a few miles to get phone chargers to take back to the Rodeway Inn for the night after breaking down. On the right, you will see the Victory Van that's getting us home finally... It's been a weird, intense, and pretty good weekend. #HailState (at On the side of I-40, NC)
