Matias Allen. The name was known all around the school and not only because he was team captain but primarily because of his father, which wasn’t something he cared about. Popularity was still popularity, no matter where it came from or why it was even a thing. The whole point of that was to get invited to parties and occasionally get free drugs – that he didn’t really need – or girls that would fall at his feet. This whole school was his bitch. Apart for the preppy kids, of course. Those were another entirely different story.
Walking down the hallway with an entire entourage, Mati greeted people left and right. The usual lunch routine. He stopped suddenly as soon as he spotted a new face. That was so refreshing for him, to see someone he had never met enter the halls of this very high school. The four guys surrounding him also stopped and began to socialize in the middle of the hall. “Yo, guys. Hold up a sec, alright?” He told them before he made his way to the girl. He stood on the right side of her locker, the door covering his face and waited a bit until he peeked over it, giving her a crooked smile. “Hey.”
A non-feminine voice caused her to drop her attention from switching her items out from her bag and diverted it to the new body beside her. A blonde girl that she’d made friends with (Kathy was her name... maybe; Colby didn’t care too much though ---- she seemed like the one that was only in the group either under pity or because they wanted someone to shit on) rolled her eyes, and the red-haired leader (Leila? Lisa? It started with an L) scoffed and told Colby they’d meet her out front. Colby, still feigning her nice girl act, smiled in respond and nodded towards the girls. “Hello?” She spoke, her tone still soft, squinting her eyes slightly at the blond boy before her. She observed him, taking in his height -- or lack thereof -- his outfit -- which was questionable -- and his eyes -- which actually caused her breath to hitch slightly. Much like her mother, she was a sucker for blue eyes. But other than that, the boy standing in front of her just looked like all the other boys who either hit on her because she was new or because they recognised her parents and wanted their fifteen minutes of fame.
