Jaz found out that Sam burnt my camo hat that she bought to spite him when I was about 11, so she bought another camo hat for me out of spite, but I already got another one so now both of us are wearing camo hats and Sam is very frustrated.

      Soma felt herself relax a little bit when the gun was pointed away from her. She wasn’t really a fan of guns, to say the least. The only gun she had was mostly just for intimidation if things came down to it; it didn’t even have any ammo. If the revolver wasn’t in her car outside, she would’ve tried to scare the other girl off with it.

      “I’m just looking around. Taking scrap metal, that kind of stuff.” It was only partially a lie. She’d been grabbing anything that looked valuable enough to try and sell, but she’d also been poking around the computer’s old files on Atlas.

      “I...” Soma trailed off. If she lied, the girl might see right through it.  On the other hand, the girl might hold some sort of grudge against Atlas. Then again, most people did these days. It was funny, the more Soma distanced herself from the corporation, the more shady it seemed to get.

      “Used to. A long time ago. Why, did you work for Atlas?”

“There nachos are amazing!!! Would you like some? I mean they really are ace!” She leaned on the back of her chair facing Soma. “So you’re going on an adventure tomorrow? Is it going to be an exciting adventure? Ah I’m rambling. I just love exploring. But lets enjoy your night! Starting with nachos.” She breathed in realizing she was talking to fast due to excitement.

“Well, hopefully tomorrow won’t be too exciting, if you know what I’m talking about. I’ll definitely take some of those nachos, though,” Soma laughed. She hadn’t heard anyone sound this excited for a long time. “So, Helios, huh? I always wondered what it’s like to have outer space right outside the window.”
