Anyway, wow. I can't seem to motivate Jackson into doing things on here again, but I'm trying.

This week is crazy for me, so I'll see if I can coax Jax into coming back here next week or something.

A small black neon idled in the parking lot of Beacon Hills High School, the school casting a daunting shadow over the vehicle. Inside Cassiel sat with her hands still on the steering wheel, staring up wide eyed at the building before her. Cassiel was still slightly irritated that she wasn’t allowed to just transport herself here like she did anywhere, but her only human contact had deemed it inappropriate. He’d told her that if she wanted to learn about humans and to fit in amongst them, she’d have to suffer their lack of angelic knowledge and abilities while around them. And what better way to learn than a high school filled with horny, over emotional teenagers? Cassiel could feel a strange surge pass through her body and realized it was what Red had called ‘excitement’. After several moments, Cassiel stepped out of the car Red had taught her to drive.

"Here goes nothing," She whispered, before striding towards the school, taking in all the students that were outside. There was a slight bounce to her step and a smile on her face as she walked through the doors and went straight to her locker. She’d been to the school over the weekend with Red to take the time to figure where all her classes would be, including her new locker. Cassiel fiddled with the lock in frustration, but after all the time she’d practiced opening the stupid thing, nothing happened. When was her powers when she needed them most?

It was the start to another boring school day, as far as Jackson was concerned. He was sick of high school. He just wanted to be done with it and move on with his life. As he walked into the building, he rolled his eyes at every little thing. The negative energy surrounding him was even thicker that day.

When he got to his locker, he turned the combination a few times and the door swung open. Then he dumped the things he didn't need and picked up what he did. He sighed tiredly as he shut the door and turned, but someone caught his eye.

A new girl. She seemed to be having trouble with her locker. But that's not why she caught his attention. There was something about her. She was pretty, yes, but that wasn't it. She had this aura about her. It was almost palpable. And it made Jackson feel light and hopeful--like a weight was being lifted from his shoulders. But whenever he looked away, it was back.

"Interesting," he thought to himself. He needed to find out more about her. Then, without thinking, he strode across the hall to her.

"Hey," he greeted her. "Need some help?"
