INTERVENTION - MARCH 2020
Don’t ever undermine someone else’s suffering because it’s different than your own
No use caring when it’s too late
Never have been, never will be
Still trying to figure things out
I'm getting consumed by negative feelings again ... why does it always end up like this?
Being emotionally alone means we feel like we have to deal with everything on our own and we can’t ask for help.
This is how children of emotionally immature parents feel.
[These] children often grow up as little adults, helping their parents, giving them no trouble, and appearing to need practically nothing.
These capable kids may seem like they can parent themselves, but they can’t.
No child can.
They just learn to cling to whatever emotional scraps they get because any connection is better than none at all.
Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents. Lindsay C. Gibson.
someone said, “anger is sadness that had nowhere to go for a very long time” and I’ll never forget it.
