Would you ever publish the Gemma/Nate novel? I'd LOVE reading that
this is so encouraging to hear ♥️ I’ve considered publishing it after my next book comes out, the maiden and the magnolia tree, but to be honest it’s just not very good so I’d have to rewrite it. but it would be a fun interlude to rewrite, just because the next book is fairly heavy and the final book, age of Aquarius, seems like it’ll be a beast to write

How do Nate and Gemma get together? Have you ever written that scene?
I originally wrote a mini novel about the process of them getting together which involves Nate crashing her very large family gathering, tripping and falling face-first into a buffet table, and generally humiliating himself in front of her very large, very rowdy, very South Philly-coded family. Poor Nate.
What is on each of our leading lady's "required reading" list?
Oh, this is such a revealing question because the patterns and divergences between them are very 👀
Eloise: she absolutely loves Austen and enjoys any comedy of manners. In a similar vein I think Cold Comfort Farm is a favorite - she’s such an observer of others and I think some of the twists in Cold Comfort Farm would be really satisfying to her. She also loves a paperback mystery and when she’s on vacation she tears through them—doesn’t care if they’re dated or cheesy; she loves every single one and devours them in one sitting.
Becca: also very Austen but I think she’s leaning further into the romantic side; I also think she’s a more voracious reader than Eloise and has strong feelings on Arthuriana especially. You can really get her going if you give her a couple martinis and ask her about feminism in Arthurian literature.
Rachel: I think Girl, Interrupted was a real moment for her as a teenager but she’s too socially aware to publicly admit that and would probably tell people it’s Tender Is the Night.
Erin: maybe even a more voracious reader than Becca; she loves all the high fantasy the most and has very much loved, well-worn copies of Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit that never quite get put away. She also loves gothic literature—Jane eyre was one of her first favorites and she was one of the rare people in her class who really *got* the point of Wuthering Heights. She loves anything with intense imagery because it makes her want to draw.

Figurines of mice greet the visitors on the steps of the temple of Apollo in Turkey.
The temple was built during the 2nd century B.C., in the Troas region. It is dedicated to Apollo Smintheus (Lord of mice). The friezes of the temple depicted the war, which Homer recounted in his epic Iliad. In the epic itself, Apollo invoked as Smintheus is a terrific plague bringer.
Miniature statues of mice are now being placed to the stairs of 2,000 years old temple. "They are real-size figurines of mice. We have 73 figurines in the first stage, but 100 more will be made", says Professor Coşkun Özgünel, the head of the excavations in the field. "Visitors of the temple are very surprised by the mice. They show great interest in the figurines. They take photos and share them on social media. This interest made us very pleased.”
