a little dandy rant

ok so now that the beef confirmed and inkypetals nation has been in shambles, can we talk about this?

dandy let bendy (and the others) in while knowing who he was almost immediately, but upon seeing bendy in the flesh he reacts like bendy killed his firstborn.

But. thats not what stood out to me. What actually peaked my interest was his comment about spotlight. This HAS to be from pettiness, because the "spotlight" is literally on dandy all the time. From his first hints of introduction we know he's essentially a big deal. He's a star, he has jurisdiction over gardenview, he has his face literally plastered everywhere.

In contrast, bendy is well.. dying. He can barely dance anymore, hes unknown, and as far as we know before the map he was fine with dying and eventually fading into obscurity.

So if dandy became a star, and bendy became just a memory, why does dandy seem to put so much emphasis on the spotlight? We know they had to have been close, but seeing as we don't know how long its been since theyve seen eachother theres no way to really grasp how much of the tension is just two 30 yo men being petty.

We'll just have to wait and see, but it interested me enough to talk about
