“But I don’t want to talk about me, there’s a reason I skipped all the other sessions before this” Micah huffed, crossing his arms over his chest as he sunk further into the seat. 

“Like why would you want to just sit there and listen to my annoying problems, like how is that satisfying in any way at all?” He questioned, pulling his knees up to his chest as he looked over at him. “Do you not get bored? Or annoyed?” He asked.

Colin let out a sigh as the other complained, already feeling fed up. “You know what, I don’t care that you skipped them. I don’t even care if you try and skip out on this one. I’m not gonna give in.” He commented, leaning on his hand. 

“Believe it or not, it’s kinda my job to listen to your problems and help you through them. So, you might as well get it over and done with. The sooner you talk, the sooner you leave.”

“True I suppose and wait, didn’t you already do that?” Micah questioned with a small smirk as he crossed his legs and leaned back on the sofa. “Oh, you’re telling me, I tend to not see my one night stands in an office, telling me about my life decisions”

“Well you did a good job at that didn’t you?” The younger male asked before running a hand through his untamed hair. “So, what’s going through your mind now then?”

Colin's eyes widened as he realised what he had said, causing him to let out a quiet groan as he continued digging the hole he had dug himself those nights ago.

He knew that the other was trying to trick him into getting out of therapy, causing him to shake his head. "My thoughts aren't the reason we're here, are they. We're here to talk about you." He replied, a somewhat satisfied smile settling onto his face.

“You’re not lenient? Wow, I’d love to see how lenient the other’s are then” Micah murmured as he stepped into the office, glancing around before crinkling up his nose. “I can’t tell if it’s a good or bad surprise” He replied before running a hand through his hair. 

“So, what was going through your head when you decided to sleep with a patient?” The younger male questioned as he wandered over to one of the seats, setting himself down and getting comfortable.

“What do you mean? The others didn’t make you go to sessions, but I will chase you down and make you come.” Colin responded, not really thinking about his wording. Moving towards the sofa, he dropped down and closed his eyes. “It’s a bad surprise.”

As he was asked the question, he shrugged, if he was honest, there wasn’t much going through his head, being to drunk to think clearly. “I was thinking something along the lines of holy shit I’m so drunk, he’s attractive I wanna fuck him.”

Micah held his breath as the door opened and lifted his head to meet the therapist and raised an eyebrow. “You’re a therapist?” Were the first words that tumbled out of his mouth causing him to emit a small squeak before he covered his mouth with both of his hands. 

“Should I… Go? I can ask for another therapist or just not come at all. that worked for me before…” The younger male rambled on, waving his hands about briefly before letting out a small sigh.

Colin paled as he fully processed what was going on. He had known, when he had that night in the cupboard, that the person he was with was a patient, but he had never even entertained the thought that it would be his patient.

Realising that the other was about to weasel his way out, Colin shook his head. "Oh no, you're not getting out of this easily. My, uh, colleagues may be more lenient, but not me. Come in." The words spilled from his lips quickly, as he stepped aside to let the other in. "Surprise I guess?"

Micah took a shaky breath and wandered down the corridor, biting the inside of his lip as he headed towards staff corridor that had been daunting to him since the beginning of his time here. The male had never been near this corridor before, let alone down it as he had managed to stay away from authority figures so far. Until now. 

He glanced down at the sheet of paper in his hand that had the room number of his therapist printed on, lifting his head as his gaze focused on the exact number on the door in front of him. Bingo. Lifting his hand up, he knocked on the door briefly before waiting patiently, brushing a hand through his hair.

Colin let out a sigh as he looked at his schedule, he wasn't sure what to expect from his next patient, a note on his file stating he was a serial therapy ditcher, and they weren't exactly the most forthcoming with information.

Hearing a knock on the door, he took a deep breath as he halted in his pacing and moved towards it. Pulling open the door, he lifted his eyes to look at the other. "Oh."

“Im really overwhelmed here. I know its new but I feel wrong guilty being here and the flashbacks have been really bad,” he wrote

Colin listened closely to the words being spoken, staying silent for a few minutes after the other had finished. "Well there isn't a safe way for me to stop the flashbacks, but I can attempt to help you work through them, if you want to."

“It’s understandable. I can’t exactly expect you to do all the work in order for me to get better, it has to be a team effort, like most other things.”

“Exactly. If only some other patients could see it that way... It’s a two way street, as they say.”

“Damn, and here I thought I had the ‘doe-eyed ingénue’ look down pat. What gave me away? I’ll need to fix it before everyone else starts catching on.”

“Well you’ve got the doe eyed part down, but you don’t have the same gullible air around you like those truly gullible ones do...”

“Why do you want to be perceived as gullible anyway?”

“It was very eventful, lot’s of thing happened. Why was it horrid?”

“Just in general, I had to deal with some things I’ve been avoiding and its quite exhausting.”

“Least favourite? I’m flattered. Annoyance is my specialty, and it would be a shame to lose such a fine quality.”

“I’m sure you’re the only one who finds your annoyance a fine quality, Ace.”

“Gabriel is okay” he wrote “yes please if it’s okay”

“Of course..” Colin muttered, standing up and moving to get two glasses of water, before returning and setting them down. “Now what is it exactly you needed to get off your chest?”

“It’s just a little easier for me to work at a snails pace, but, I am willing to do as told if there’s any directions to follow.”

“Oh, well that’s somewhat a relief, patients who don’t follow direction only set their therapy back, if I’m honest...”

“Try me.”

“I had to deal with hour long phone calls with my father telling me I abandoned him, for putting him where he needed to be.”

“Oh, I dunno about all that. I can be pretty gullible. Or so my detractors tell me. Only one way to find out.”

“Well you don’t seem like the gullible type, if you don’t mind me saying...”

“It isn’t, sorry. How was your week?”

“It was ridiculously horrid. How was your month?”

“And yet you’re unfortunately still alive. I’ll have to arrange a change for that.”

"Well if it isn't my least favourite patient. I see you've become no less annoying in my absence."

Gabe walked in slowly and leaned his hands against the chair making his way around he sat. His legs bouncing a little from nerves. His eyes wandered before meeting Colin’s “thanks for seeing me.” He wrote

Colin nodded slightly, allowing the other time to settle in slightly so it wasn’t as uncomfortable for him. “It’s no worries, Gabriel, or would you prefer Gabe?” He asked, his eyes flicking from the writing he was being shown to the file in his lap. “Would you like a drink?”
