So until I get my fucking foot looked at, running isn’t in the mix again for a while.
Which is goddamn INFURIATING because I had just gotten back up to half mile intervals.
But ok. I have done something excruciatingly painful to my foot. And I’m so fucking shit at loving and not punishing my body that I ignored it for months because it just felt so good to run again. So I’m paying the price (again) and learning the lesson (again) that I need to listen and do something else for a while.
So I just started powerlifting, and guys? I FUCKING LOVE IT.
So, since I’ve recently been mostly using this space for accountability with my runs, I’m going to switch over to accountability for my lifts.
And look, I’m a fat weeny person so I know what I’m lifting is bullshit, but cut me a break. I literally JUST started. As of last night:

I hate that I have to dial it this far back to deal with whatever the fuck is wrong with my foot (until I can get my records transferred from my old orthopedist to a new one, THEN make an appointment. I hate the American medical system), but it *is* nice to here such good (for me) split times.

Re ran a week 1 day as an experiment to see if it would effect how my injured (?) foot does. It was nice to have shorter intervals again. I could really enjoy a comfortable but faster pace knowing it would be over soon

I was going to try to cook dinner but I'm already getting trick or treaters by the carload, which means long periods of time away from my stovetop helping Very Smol monsters get candy and fake tattoos... So leftovers it is. The best part so far has been a teeny tiny Iron Man who didn't know who Tony Stark was but DID know what a kitty cat is...
