Chloe shot up from laying down on her bed and as she did the flame went out. “Oh- uh- heh- no. No need for that. Not like they would anyways. That’d draw too much attention here..” 

Juniper put on a frown, coming fully into the room. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt. You didn’t have to stop on my account,” she said, giving Chloe her most convincing apologetic eyes.

Viper watched the dogs obey her, understanding perfectly it seemed. “…No. They’re just dogs,” Viper said, wanting to spit her words but the magic was still in effect. “Shall I take you to your bedroom, then?”

“You shall. And do try not to dawdle. You’d think it was you with the broken leg with how slow we’re taking this. No need to wine and dine me and wait till the third date to kiss me on the cheek, bedroom’s on your left.”

Chloe laid on her bed, messing with a small flame on her hand. “I miss doing more than this..” She sighed, moving her hand to side from side to see the fire move the way it had. 

“Any more and we might have to call in the fire department,” Juniper said, popping in from around the door frame.

m!a: Ayame is feeling funny suddenly. She falls in love with the next person she sees. This lasts for two days.

She shrugs again. “Oh well- I’ll find a good one eventually I’m sure. Like you.” Ayame says with a happy sound in her voice at the girl she was currently in love with. “He was. I’m aware- I’ve been fed on a few times through out my 5000 years. You can too if you’d like- just don’t kill me?”

Juniper laughed, taking a moment to really let the humor of that statement sink in. “I’ve never been good in my life, sweetling. And I don’t intend to start any time soon.” Her gaze drifted back down to Ayame’s neck where there were puncture scars already. “I would never kill you. You’re much too valuable for that, I think. The offer is tempting though.”

Sugar grabbed her hair underneath where Juniper was pulling from and crawled along the floor beside her as quickly as possible so any more tugging wouldn’t be necessary. Although, she was determined to show juniper that she wasn’t afraid of anything she had to dish out.

Juniper found the room quickly, pushing it open and dragging Sugar inside before kicking it closed again. She scanned the room quickly and tapped a finger to her bottom lip as she decided what her plan was, then she threw Sugar into the center of the room just underneath where something similar to a meat hook was attached to the ceiling. Then she went over to a rack with a wide variety of tools and toys. Juniper selected a pair of pink leather cuffs before returning to Sugar. “Hands, please,” she said, and held the taster up, watching electricity spark across the prongs. It was all the threat she needed for what would happen if Sugar didn’t comply.

“There’s one about me being a cowboy?” He asks honestly curious. That was something new. “I can’t say that I’ve heard that one before. What’a strange idea.” Brendon said and then straightened his tie, almost as a reminder to himself that he was always in such attire. “Oh, c’mon, you don’t have to. It would be much more interesting to live off the rumors- clearly.”

“Mhmm, and you had an undead horse that you rode through towns, stealing all their beautiful women to feast on. That was the story I liked best, I think,” she said, giving him a purely Joony smile. “Honestly, I may have made up a few rumors myself. It’s fascinating what vampires will believe if you stick the name Boyd onto it.”

“Dogs?” Viper asked, grabbing the key and opening the door one-handed so she wouldn’t drop Juniper, walking in and looking around before seeing two dogs at her feet growling and snarling. “Wanna… call them down?” She asked, Juniper still on her back.

Juniper peered over Viper’s shoulders and cooed at the dogs a few feet away, looking like they were ready to pounce on Viper at any second. “Princess, Duchess- Viper is a guest, please do try to be a little more respectful, won’t you?” At that the two great danes pulled out of their snarling to trot over to an empty bedroom. “You’re not scared of dogs, are you?”

“I suppose it is a good thing,” He said, stepping out of the elevator when it opened. “Right. Michael Watson, nice to meet you,”

“Oh it must be. You can call me Juniper, Michael. And I do hope you like dogs. I have three and two of them don’t especially like strangers. Do be careful, won’t you?” she said, and finally got to her door, marked 666.

“New blood indeed.” He says with an almost shocked look on his face. He’d expected her to be older by the way she carried herself. To her admittance of knowing his stories he can’t help but smile a bit, though it was small, and holding back a soft laugh. “Ah- sorry to say, no I don’t think they’re all true. Public figures get rumors all the time. There’s.. only one book I trust to tell the truth, in all honesty. I had a boy here read it before I claimed him, wanted him to know the real truth.” Brendon points out, nodding slightly. 

Juniper hummed like she understood, clasping her hands behind her back and rocking back on her heels. “That’s too bad, I was hoping the one about you becoming a cowboy for a few decades would be true. I suppose you were never really a sheriff, were you?” she asked, smiling at the image of Boyd in a cowboy hat and boots. “I’ll have to read that book sometime,” she lied.

Right before she got to five, Sugar felt spit dribbling down her chin from the tasering. As soon as it stopped, she looked up at Juniper, collecting herself before she could speak. “Never.”

“Have it your way.” Juniper shrugged and then tapped a finger to her chin thoughtfully. It would take too long to drag Sugar all the way upstairs, and she’d heard there was a new addition to the basement recently. “Stay put for me, alright? If I feel you trying to leave I’ll put the taser right through your transparent chest.” Then she started dragging Sugar down the hall roughly by the hair, making her way to the locked door for Masters.

“I think it’s more of a power thing. They like the control. If I’m not smart, it’s much easier to control me,” He said with a shrug as he stepped inside with her. “Most of them aren’t really concerned with how well I can carry a conversation and they’re more interested in how well I can kiss their ass and get them off.”

“It’s a good thing I don’t want either of those things from you then, isn’t it? Even if you weren’t Boyd’s, you’d be no fun if you were stupid.” The elevator chimed again as they reached her floor. “Now that I think about it, I don’t think I caught your name before.”

Sugar’s eyes widened, and she didn’t even have a change to run before the taser was stuck to her neck. She screamed, her body flickering in and out before sticking at in, her knees buckling. 

Juniper’s expression was blank, void of any emotion as she grabbed a fistful of Sugar’s hair and pulled her head back harshly. She stuck the taser just under her chin and pressed the button again, counting to five, before switching it off finally. “Ask me to stop,” she ordered.

Michael paused. Should he keep it up? Probably not. He shook his head slowly. “Um… no. Sorry. Most of the masters didn’t notice, I think they prefer them stupid,” Michael said quietly. “Then they think they’re winning.”

“Most of the masters here are horny idiots, sweetheart.” The elevator arrived with a soft chime and she stepped inside, waiting for Michael to do the same. “What’s the point of a slave if I can’t have a conversation with them? If I just wanted to get off- well, that’s what they make vibrators for.”
