Hello! Im doing a bunch of research before getting a german shepard, and would like to know how you got started training your pup and what resources you used?

German Shepherd Guide and places like German Shepherd forum are a good place to start. Talking to other owners, responsible breeders, and trainers with lots of experience and can help you choose a bloodline most appropriate for your lifestyle.

I’ve been into training long before I got my boy, doing sports and such. But I started researching clicker training when I first got into dogs. Kikopup’s youtube channel is a good reference.

Many of my resources were also hands-on through doing dog sports with my mixed breed. But make you sure you also research responsible vs irresponsible breeders.
