Some things never change.
Stuck With Me| Dean&Castiel
Castiel typically got good grades, this wasn't anything out of the ordinary. He'd always worked hard in school, too hard maybe. But he was trying to please his father, though that didn't exactly work out most of the time. Reading and School were easy. Life was more difficult then that. In edition to having a photographic memory, it made some classes a bit too easy for him. Hense is massive class load. But he didn't mind. He had enough spare time.Â
The current class he was in was Science. Which meant a lot of lab projects, generally with partners. But it wasn't so bad. Though the latest assignment was a big one, which meant whoever you got stuck with for this project, you'd be seeing a lot of them.
The Class ended with the teacher telling the class to come to the board to find out who they'd been partnered with. But just before Castiel had made it to the board he was stopped, along with another student.Â
"Dean, I'm pairing you with Castiel for this assignment. Because frankly he is your only hope at actually passing my class." he said peering over his glasses at the other. "And Castiel, If in any way shape or form Dean is not doing his half of the work you are to tell me and he will fail."Â
Castiel looked a little wide eyed between the two, Blinking owlishly at them. That wasn't exactly the best way to get one motivated. "Uh..Yes sir." He managed looking back to Dean. "As you already know i'm Castiel." he introduced himself somewhat awkwardly, extending his hand to the other.

âOr tea if you like that better,â Dean shrugged, grinning when Cas accepted and then walking out of the classroom in front of the boy at the gesture. Looking back to ask him something, Dean saw the other checking him out and his smirk was officially not leaving his face by now. âDo you know a good place nearby? Iâm kinda new in town.âÂ
At the otherâs request to stop at his place, he halted, angling his body completely towards Cas. He played with the strands of his hair at the back of his hair in a half tug, half scratch kinda move and then licked his lips, âSure. I can stop there too, if you think itâs not a little fast for me to see your place,â he joked, winking at the blue-eyed man.Â
He smiled a little wider, shaking his head a bit. "No i could use the caffine boost." He said with a roll of his shoulder, glancing away. He sincerely hoped that Dean hadn't caught him ogling him. The best thing he could do was to pretend he hadn't been doing so. "Yeah i know a really great place, they're supposed to have some pretty incredible pie." He said looking back to him.
He wet his lower lip in what was a slightly nervous motion as he watched the other. But Dean was calm and cool and made it somewhat easier to talk to him. At the wink a grin pulled at the artists face, his cheeks flushing ever so slightly. "Mmm no i think you'll be okay." he said and there was no helping the smile on his lips now.Â
He blinked looking up as they approached to the impala, his eyes widening just a bit "Woah is this your car?"Â
//So i know i haven't been on here in a long time. There's been a bunch of things going on and medical stuff but anyway. I'm pretty much back, i'm trying to get on here a bit more regularly. So if anyone would like to A) Continue a rp we haven't done in ages or B) Start something new or C) Just plot and be awesome. Send me a message or something :)

He continued to watch him, Dean definitely piqued his interest, He wasnât sure what really set him apart yet, but he was sure he would figure out. Bright blue eyes traced his movements as he adjusted  his glasses. His smile widened a bit as he adjusted the strap of his bag, focusing back ahead.
âMmm Well usually at this time i have an Advanced Latin class, however today the teacher is sick.â He said looking back over to Dean âSo as luck would have it i am free. Well not so much luck for Mr. Johnson.â He said with a small laugh. âWhy? Did you have something in mind?â
Dean smirked wider, nodding as he closed the door of the classroom behind him, not even caring the prof was still in there. âYou could say that.â Licking his lips, he eyed Cas up and down, before nodding towards the parking lot. âMy carâs right out front. Maybe you wanna go for coffee or something?âÂ
Thinking this was so much easier with girls, he waited for the kidâs reply, green eyes not straying from the lite, slender physique of the student in front of him.Â
He could practically feel the others eyes on him and couldn't help the small slightly satisfied smirk that slid over his lips. Which he quickly hid away as he looked back to Dean. "Coffee huh?" He asked a slight sparkle in the blue eyes. "Sure, Sounds Great." He said smiling easily at Dean. "Well, lead the way." He said extending an arm for Dean to do so.
Now blue eyes couldn't help but wander down Dean's frame, and he felt the need to chew on his lower lip. Today had turned out a lot better then he'd hoped "Oh, i could run by my apartment real quick and drop off my stuff first, if you don't mind. Since i'm done with classes for today."Â

Dean smirked at the otherâs retort, thinking the guy was nicer than most in a very proper kinda way. It wasnât usually the type heâd go for, preferring the experienced woman or man who knew what they wanted and went for it. Â But the subtle flirting was there in every lingering gaze, every smile and for the first time in a long time, Dean didnât care how screwed up he was, as he pushed himself away from the desk.Â
âYeah, Dean. Thatâs right,â he grinned, grabbing his book bag and swinging it over his shoulder, before pushing back the glasses heâd gotten for this case. Yeah, his brother owed him big for this stunt. âSo, you free right now or do you have another class to get to?âÂ

Son of a bitch. And here he thought heâd being such a good job at pretending to be just another TA. If just any student could see right through him like that, then he didnât even want to think to what conclusions the professor might have come about his presence there. Shrugging, he smirked up at the kid, green meeting blue again, âJust having a bad day, Cas.â Castiel sounded so weird, and in all honesty, he hadnât even noticed that heâd shortened the boyâs name.
Returning the smile, he wondered if the kid had been flirting with him, and he almost stopped Castiel from leaving, for some reason wanting to continue this conversation âif only to get a little pointers on how to play his part better. But he couldnât. He had to get the professor alone and pick his brain for a little while. StillâŚ.There was always tomorrow, right?
âHey, Cas! Wait up.âÂ
He studied him for a moment as if he could pick apart the others brain merely by staring at him. He conceded nodding lightly. "Well i hope your day gets better then." He said with another smile, which widened a bit at the shortened version of his name. Mostly people just called him Castiel. Except for his friend Balthazar who insisted on calling him 'Cassie' which was irksome at best. But Cas, that was nice, and so easily flowed off the others tongue.Â
So maybe he'd very casually flirted with the new TA- Dean he believed was his name unless he'd heard wrong. He had barely made it out of the classroom when Dean called after him. He paused, turning to glance over his shoulder. A pleased smile settling on his lips.
"Yes, Dean?" He asked tipping his head to one side once more "It was Dean wasn't it?"Â

Dean glanced around, waiting for the students to file out so he could finally ask the professor about the bones, but when some kid took the paper heâd put aside for some unknown reason, his eyes shot up to piercing blue liquid  ones. This had to be Castiel. When the boy broke the stare, he noticed how his features changed at the grade, and he grinned himself before looking over to the prof again, expecting the student to have moved on since he got where he came from.
At the sound of the otherâs voice, his gaze shot up to unearthly sapphires again and he nodded wordlessly, giving the kid the chance to say whatever it was he had observed.
Slight amusement flashed over his face for a brief moment, he nodded lightly before speaking up. "You really hate this." He said softly an odd smile playing his lips "Most TA's you see are plucky go-getters who are just aiming to please but you're different." He paused tipping his head owlishly to one side "You seem honest to god bored out of your mind. I don't know why you're actually doing this, which is really none of my business but i at least i hope it gets more..interesting for you." He flashed him a bright smile, adjusting the strap for his messenger bag.Â
He started for the door, pausing a few inches from Dean's desk. "By the way, different...is good." He said with another smile before heading for the door.Â

Dean tilted his head to the right, popping his neck quickly to loosen it up, before riffling through the stack of papers the professor had put on his desk. What? This so wasnât what he came here for. He was supposed to be having an in-depth talk about the bones heâd found at the last victimâs house, although he couldnât actually disclose where he got them from. Damn Sam and his geeky ways, registering him as a TA instead of just another student. It would have been so much easier if he just could have dropped in on the old guy during office hours.Â
Wait, what was he supposed to do with these papers again? Oh right, grade âem. Shrugging to himself, he grabbed a red pen and noted down random grades, sticking to Aâs and Bâs just in case there was some hidden genius whoâd go all the way to the Dean to protest the sudden D. One paper caught his attention. Not because it was any less dull than the others, all the topics being so standard bookish it made his stomach turn, but because of the penmanship. CastielâŚOther kids just typed out their work, but this guy put a lot of effort in it. And so Dean scribbled an A+ in the right upper corner and then put it next to the pile heâd already graded.Â
When the professor told the students to pick up their graded essays at his little desk in the corner of the classroom, Dean sighed. He was so going to kill Sam for this.Â
Castiel couldn't help but be a bit bored in class today. Not that the topics weren't interesting in their own right. But he'd already read ahead,  and having a photographic memory could be a downfall sometimes. He really didn't need to be here today. Maybe he shouldn't have come at all. He spent some of the time actually jotting down notes. And some of the time drawing in his notebook. However in between he'd glance up to the new TA. He didn't exactly seem like most of the teachers assistant's he'd seen. Most were brimming with enthusiasm, looking brightly towards their career. Maybe not all but most. Though this one he seemed..utterly bored and like he really really did not want to be here.  And he wasn't quite sure how it had happened but his doodling had turned into a drawing of the teachers assistant. Which he'd admit seemed totally creepy. It was mostly his eyes that had caught his attention, He wasn't sure he'd seen eyes that green before.Â
His head snapped up because suddenly it was the end of class. He quickly stuffed his notebook into his messenger bag, trying to get his stuff together. By the time he reached the desk most of the students had already grabbed their papers, which left Castiel in front of Dean's desk pretty much alone. He grabbed for his paper, blue eyes connecting with green for maybe just a moment too long. Before he looked back down to the paper, he smiled a bit pleased before tucking it away in his bag. "Can i make an observation?" He asked after a moment looking back up to Dean.

The History Of You And Me
âThatâs great!â Good. Dean was smiling so hard his cheeks hurt as if he had been laughing for hours. He tucked Cas against him tighter. He knew there were parts of Cas he didnât know yet, but he was excited to figure them out. And whatâs more, he was determined to put the broken pieces of him back together again.
They must have been talking longer than he thought, eyes glancing back at the t.v. Dean watched the end credits go by. Wouldnât It Be Nice was dancing around in his headâŚ
And wouldnât it be nice to live together In the kind of world where we belong You know its gonna make it that much better When we can say goodnight and stay together
âThis is niceâŚâ he was more talking to himself but the words still rang true. âCome on, Iâve had a long day, and youâve had a rough night. Letâs go to bed.â He pushed aside the blanket shivering at his suddenly exposed body. He grabbed one of Castielâs hands, lacing their fingers together as he dragged him to his bedroom. âGuess I should start packing, and I can ask the guys tomorrow to see who wants my place the most.â
He grinned at Dean before nestling his head back against his shoulder, letting his eyes slide shut. He was surprised, Dean had such a positive effect on him. If the events of tonight had happened and he was alone he'd be a nervous wreck. He wouldn't sleep. He'd sit and ice his wounds and sit and- He shook the thoughts from his head. Because that wasn't the case. He was with Dean and warm and secure and happy.
When Dean spoke up he merely gave a sleepy "Mhm." He yawned sitting up and stretching. He stood up with Dean, following him to his bedroom. "Mmm Bed sounds nice." He murmured following after him. "Oh, Dean if..if you wouldn't mind i think i'd rather move in with you, i mean here. I like it here." Â He said before chewing on his lower lip.
The History Of You And Me
Dean laughed at that, he didnât want to rub Castielâs worries in his face so he cut him self off, clipped his laughter short, âCas, Iâm more concerned with you getting tired of me. I can get pretty grouchy sometimes, especially when I havenât eaten.â He looked at Castiel thoughtfully, honestly thinking about what moving into the same living space would do to them. âWe could wait if you wanted, but I know Iâm ready. Iâve been at college long enough now that I know you have to make quick decisions or you might miss a chance to do something great. And I canât think of someone better to spend my senior year with here.â He thought that sounded a little off, like he was just going to leave Castiel when he was done college, and he didnât like that idea. âAnd maybe Iâll just have to live with you after I graduate, who knows? But if youâll trust me on this, Iâll move in here with you, as soon as I can.â He gave Cas his best puppy dog eyes, his brother was better at it then he was but he did learn from the best. âPlease Castiel, donât leave me out in the cold.â He felt like he could be wagging an imaginary tail at the point, trying to be cute. But he was still serious. âI wouldnât be saying this if I didnât love you.â
"I can promise you that won't be happening, I could never get tired of you." he murmured, leaning in to place a soft kiss to his cheek. "I Don't mind grouchy." He said with a small half shrug. He smiled softly at the thought that he was something great that Dean could miss the chance on. No one ever felt him feel like he did about himself. He almost chuckled lightly at the puppy dog eyes. "Dean i would never leave you out in the cold." He leaned in pressing a slow kiss to his lips. "I love you, and i want to live with you."
The History Of You And Me
His nerves calmed as he saw Castielâs expression. He saw Castielâs own blush creep over his face as he stammered. He pressed a finger to Castielâs lips to hush him, running it over soft pink to the swollen red. âYes, I want that. Just you and me. And we can stay wherever makes you more comfortable. And it would honestly take more pressure off me. Just one apartment and I know some guys tired of living in the dorms that would love to live off campus.â He pulled Casâ legs up under the blanket to lay across his lap, when Castiel had scooted closer he wanted to help, to show him through touches just how much he wanted him. His arm thrown across the back of the couch drifted down to Castielâs back, tracing lazy lines up and down. Dean didnât voice a certain plus for him if they lived together, but it was in the back of his head. Castielâs devil of a father would have less chances to get to him if he was there. Castiel would be safe and loved like he should be. âSo want to you want Cas?â
His eyes widened to almost comically large proportion when Dean's finger shushed him. He leaned into the touch  smiling. Dean made him feel so wanted and loved. Something he'd never experienced in his life. He'd dated people of course but never like this. He smiled softly leaning in close when Dean scooted his legs onto his lap, eyes slid closed as fingers  traced patterns  on his back.  "I want to live with you Dean." He murmured smiling "I want to be with you every day too. But i'd much rather live here." he said leaning in "I'm just afraid that...If you..we've only known each other for such a short time. What if you change your mind."
The History Of You And Me
His eyes hadnât even been on the t.v. screen, he was watching Cas so intently that he saw when he looked up at him immediately, face leaning towards him. He instinctively moved forward the extra inch to meet Castielâs lips, greedy for the feel of them against his own. âCasâŚâ He echoed his name after hearing his own. And then he was speechless for a movement. Movie completely forgotten he just started into Castielâs eyes seeing the seriousness there of what he just said. But that moment was less than a second and he was reaching for Castielâs hand under the warm blanket, squeezing it tightly. âCastiel, I love you too, so much.â His chest hurt, heart beating so fast. It had probably been obvious about how he felt, but the thrill and excitement of finally saying it out loud was still there. âIâŚâ what else could he say. He leaned forward to kiss Castiel again hoping that he could bare with one more. He made it slow, licking gently over his lips as he pulled back a little. âHow could I not love you?â He smiled then, a little half grin. His heart was still making a racket at his silent nerves. He felt a little embarrassed for some reason as he felt heat creep across his face. âIâd like to be with you every night, if youâd like that as well?â If he slept better with Dean with him then he never wanted to leave Castiel alone at night.
His lips moved slowly against Dean's, Of course his lip was still sore,  But he would still rather Kiss Dean. He hadn't thought before he'd spoke. The words just came out, They flowed so easily from his lips, he didn't doubt them for a second. He was Head over heels irrevocably in love with Dean. The logical part of him had to question it. How long had they known each other? But it didn't matter none of it mattered. His heart was pounding in his chest, But then Dean spoke.  He scooted closer to Dean, Practically sitting in his lap. He leaned in closer, brushing his fingers along dean's jaw. The smile on his face was one of pure joy, His eyes soft. He leaned into the kiss, groaning softly against his lips. When Dean spoke up once more, His smile widened, That little half grin was just too adorable. Though Castiel didn't have a proper response to that. So he just stayed quiet smiling. But then a questioning look took over his features. He leaned in brushing a hand through Dean's hair. "I...Of course Dean I'd love to be with you every night. But a-are what are you... Are you asking me to move in with you? I-i mean i'd love to i just...don't want to rush you or make you feel pressured."
The History Of You And Me
âNightmares?âŚâ He could have sworn Cas had mentioned he always slept terrible before and now he knew why. He made a mental note not to pick a movie that wasnât too violent. He wanted to soothe Castielâs fears away in every way possible. As they got to the living room he guided Cas to couch and pulled his heavy tan colored blanket that was laying across the back down over Castielâs shoulders.
âYou just sit here and get comfortable, Iâll put the movie in.â He briefly scanned his movies before pulling out one. Comedy sounded good, and maybe something romantic if he had it⌠and thatâs how he chose 50 First Dates. It was actually a movie that he had stolen from Sam that he secretly liked but he had a feeling Cas would too. He turned most of the lights off in his apartment and put the movie in before he sat down back on the couch with Cas. He immediately pulled back the blanket and drew Castiel into his arms before wrapping them both back up together. He wanted to kiss him but he thought it might hurt still so he settled for kissing the top of his head as he ran a hand continuously through his messy dark hair. He murmured into Casâ hair, lips so close to touching him, âI wonât let anything happen to you again. I promise.â
He nodded slowly "Yes...nightmares. Though i haven't had any when with you." He murmured. A small smile slid over his lips. He'd never really had anyone take care of him before. Even when he was sick growing up.. He just learned what he needed to know from books or the computers at the library. On how to treat his cold. Or whatever it may be. He settled under the blanket nodding. He wanted to tell him that he didn't need to go to any trouble but he thought he would just let him be. Truth be told, he felt a little guilty for bothering Dean with his problems. He curled in again, wrapping his arms around Dean. He liked the movie. It was cute. But it was better purely because Dean. He was forever amazed by Dean.He was nutruing and caring and simply extraordinary. The hands cooly stroking through his hair was soothing. But the words caught him by surprise. He tipped his head up, Blue eyes connecting with green. "Dean.." He murmured before brushing his lips against Dean's. "Dean, I love you."Â
