The first law

I drew my most beloved characters from the book, and something about it really struck a chord with me.

I’ve looked through tons of fanart based on The First Law, and to be honest, none of it really appealed to me. I couldn’t see the images I’d imagined in my head, so I decided to take things into my own hands. I doubt I’ll draw anything else—portraits are about as far as I’ll go—but even this is kind of cool...

It's almost december, which is the perfect time to read my books!

✨ If you’ve ever wanted to read something queer, low-stakes, cosy romance with a hint of angst, set in the 10th-century, this is for you! ✨

It's been almost a year since I uploaded Far From Eikfell, the last book of the duology, on my ko-fi, and both books are still available for free if anyone is so inclined. This is self-indulgent passion project, with my love of history and a yearning of something I couldn't find online.

The duology is about Ulvar Grimsson, a chieftain's son in a small village during the Viking age, who meets Niketas, a stowaway on their ship as they travel home from a long trading journey to Miklagardr, and how their relationship blossoms into something neither of them would've imagined. It's about family, friends and the expectations set upon their shoulders, and a need to find themselves in a world that is perhaps not suited for either of them.
