I feel like you guys are actively looking down on women’s rights whenever it comes to people you don’t like. You may not notice it, but you are.
My friend the other day was talking about some girl she didn’t like and said “that’s why she’s gonna be a stripper by the time she finishes school!!”. And it’s like… okay? When have we started to shame women for their careers? Although I agree with supporting the worker and not the industry, it was clearly a shot at her and how she would create money. Not only that, if I last checked, the whole idea of stripping was to preform and to entertain. It is a construct that was used for entertainment, both parties included. It is and always was looked as a form of art. Why are you shaming someone who partakes in what gives them money for their rent? Why are you shaming someone who is creating art?
Woman themselves constantly degrade each other, saying how “people like you shouldn’t vote” or “I’m surprised you even have rights”, and it’s constantly destroying the system you built for each other. It’s constantly degrading one another, and eventually will lead the the single argument: because I don’t like you, I don’t think you should have rights like I do. And that itself is a double sided sword. If you believe the bitchy popular girl doesn’t deserve to vote because she’s an asshole, then you are thinking the same for yourself.
You can hate a woman and not want to take away the rights that women have been fighting centuries to have. It takes a backwards role on feminism.

JIRAI : This community IS FUCKED UP.
original idea from: @s0l4rst4rz /link to the post that inspired me to write this/
Jirai Kei (地雷系), which translates to "landmine type" or "landmine style," is a Japanese fashion subculture that emerged in the early 2020s, heavily associated with the nightlife of Tokyo's Kabukicho district. It is characterized by an ultra-feminine, "darkly sweet" aesthetic that combines innocent, doll-like clothing with edgy, melancholy elements, often worn to represent a "pathologically cute" or unstable persona.
In recent months (and or years), the jirai community, originally rooted in vulnerability, shared aesthetics, and expressions of emotional pain, has faced a troubling pattern of internal hostility. What began as a subculture centered around fashion, mental health struggles, and a sense of belonging has, in some spaces, shifted into a culture of gatekeeping and public accusation. Individuals are increasingly labeled as “fake” or “posers” if they do not meet certain unwritten standards of appearance, behavior, or lived experience.
This kind of policing can be deeply damaging. Many people who are drawn to jirai aesthetics are already struggling with mental health issues, identity confusion, loneliness, or trauma. When they enter a community expecting understanding and instead encounter harassment or invalidation, it can intensify feelings of isolation and worthlessness. Public call-outs, bullying, and constant scrutiny create an environment where vulnerability becomes weaponized.
The pressure to prove one’s “authenticity” can also encourage unhealthy behavior. When suffering becomes a measure of legitimacy, individuals may feel compelled to display their pain more visibly or compete over who is struggling more. This dynamic turns real mental health issues into a hierarchy rather than something that deserves compassion and support.
Suicide is never caused by a single factor, but environments of sustained harassment and exclusion can significantly contribute to a person’s crisis. When community members attack one another instead of offering support, it undermines the very foundation the subculture was built upon. What was meant to be a space of shared understanding becomes another source of harm.
Addressing this issue requires collective responsibility. Communities built around themes of mental health must prioritize empathy over purity tests, and care over competition. Calling out harmful behavior is important, but it must not turn into dehumanization. If the jirai community is to remain meaningful, it must return to its core values of honesty, softness, and mutual support.
For anyone struggling right now, you deserve help beyond online spaces. If you are in immediate danger or feeling overwhelmed by suicidal thoughts, please contact local emergency services or reach out to a suicide prevention hotline in your country. Speaking to a trusted adult, friend, or mental health professional can also make a critical difference. You are not weak for needing support, and you are not alone.
