[Tormo watched, hands behind his back, as Reshar named off the flowers. He’d sometimes bend down a little to take a closer look at a particular specimen, but mainly kept his focus on his goalie, and how gentle he was with the plants.]
[He was about to comfort Reshar at his despondence for not being about to grow a certain flower, but was quickly pulled into the bed of Yooyu flowers instead.]
Yeah Resh, they’re really somethin’…
[In actuality, Tormo felt the flowers looked too alike to their namesake, as if they were faceless corpses. He looked at Reshar and decided to keep that morbid sentiment to himself.]
[Reshar nodded happily.] There aren’t any Darigan Yooyu ones though, which sucks. I guess the breeders never really bothered.
[He stood up again, dusting the dirt off his knees.] Come on. We should keep exploring. Unless you wanted to stay?
[Tormo remained sitting, legs out in front, moving his feet from side to side.] Dunno. Whatever you wanna do.
[Reshar smiled and reached down, grabbing Tormo’s arm and pulling him up, not letting go once the Bruce was standing.] I think we should keep looking.
[Tormo noticed the lingering hold on his arm. Without thinking much about it, he mirrored the motion and grabbed Reshar’s. His claws grazed against the inside of his goalie’s wrist. He leaned his weight experimentally onto his toes. Reshar was big; Tormo only came up to his chest at the most, even with his head tilted up to him.]
[He dropped his head down with a quiet, resigned sigh. Then looked back at his goalie with a grin.]
You win, buddy. [He turned towards the path, fluidly letting go of his grasp and pulling away from Reshar’s.] Let’s boogie, then.
[Reshar smiled a little bit, looking down at Tormo, warmth spreading through his chest.]
I always win. Or I try too. [He giggled, and followed Tormo down the path, his tail swinging happily behind him.]
