✈︎ —⎾ She looks beautiful. The dress is better than anything his imagination could provide. Lila had always said he was isn’t that imaginative with fashion, much better had holding the bags whilst she picked out something that wasn’t either conservative or belonged in the 1980s. Not that his tomboy niece would be caught dead in a dress, but he figures that even she would say that Carol looks stunning. When she gets back from her trip in space, he’ll have to introduce the two. Carol will be a far better influence on Lila than Tony has even been. Maybe he’ll take her home to his parents too. He knows his mom would love her, his dad would probably be happy to just see him settle down. She is on him as soon as he opens the window, hand teasingly resting on his chest and making his lower brain wish that he’d agreed with her idea of a lace number. He leans in, kissing her plush pink lips as soon as they finish speaking. It was chaste and romantic, the sort of kiss that if you are lucky, you end a first date on. Yet they had mastered the kissing by now, and it felt so good to not have to sneak behind a wall or closet to kiss her.⏌
I’m thinking dinner. Definitely dinner. Even if you didn’t show off a lace number to the citizens of New York, I want to show you off in this one to some lucky folk.
⎾ Jim’s hands rests on her hips, ties now forgotten as he continues to admire her beauty and remember just how lucky he was to be getting this. He also knows he’d have to saviour this night and whatever she gifts him with, as who knows how long he’ll have to rely on his imagination to keep him going. He is going to miss her, not as much as Jessica, but enough to make him want to hold on tight for as long as possible. ⏌
I’m not going to lie, part of me would rather have us stay here. You do have a better imagination out of the both of us.
But we’ll go out. Got a preference on the food?
✸ —⎾ The little black dress she was wearing just happened to be something she'd found on the way, thanks to a certain Neiman Marcus billboard. She thought it looked cute enough and the way he'd stared at her made it all worth wearing the lace number even if it wasn't the one she'd teased him with previously. His reactions to her gestures were more than enough. He's a goofball and she loves it. The kiss he gave her was sweet and very much wanted. ⏌
Jim, this is a lace number. In the end, both of us win, even if this wasn't what I originally promised.
⎾ She teases. She wants to see if it'll cause a grin if not a light blush. Food, hm. Cheeseburgers might not be appropriate in this attire. ⏌
I don't, actually. I'm not even sure if I'm really all that hungry but I'll make an exception just so we both have energy for the second part of your gift.
⎾ Carol leans forward to whisper the following into his ear: We wouldn't want you to tire midway through, would we? A smirk follows her words and a firm kiss followed. To be perfectly honest, she knew this night would flash in no time at all, so she wanted to make it as enjoyable as possible until she'd come back from space. At which point, she'll hopefully not only find herself but be able to be properly be better to him. She does feel like she's cheating him out of what he deserves. Carol knows well and true that she's been more than lucky to have a guy like Rhodey, but even more so that he's just a blessing and the most supportive man she'd ever fallen for. ⏌
Surprise me.
