ARGH I'M SO FUCKING FURIOUS ABOUT THIS.

If you haven't heard, Markiplier was basically set up to fail here - which seems to be even more true with the goddamn thing coming out three days early in the middle of the fucking day. Here's the full story, but the short story is: he got someone to back Edge of Sleep and told him that if it debuted in the top 10, they would back his major pet project, Iron Lung. But they refused to let him say where Edge of Sleep would be debuting, which is just...absurd.

I don't follow Mark that closely. I think he's a sweetie and I love his videos, but I've not followed his cinematic endeavors. But I know he's extremely passionate about these projects, especially Iron Lung, and I think it's absolute bullshit to dangle this carrot in front of him and yet make it so hard to grab (which...I guess that's the point of the metaphor, but you know what I mean). It's already so fucking hard to be a content creator online these days, and media sights only make it harder and harder by squeezing every last bit of creativity and will to live out of incredibly brilliant and passionate people. It's bullshit and I fucking hate that it's happening to someone like Markiplier, who, as far as I can tell, has only ever been pure and sweet and wholesome.

So let's just watch the fuck out of Edge of Sleep guys. Watch it. Watch it ten times. Have it on in the background while you sleep. Tell your friends to watch it, watch it 10 times, have it on in the background while you sleep.
