@Cis Lesbians
Which term would you rather trans lesbians use? “Lesbian” or “Sapphic”?
I’m asking because trans lesbians face a lot of opposition to them using the term lesbian. So I was curious, if not lesbian than can they use Sapphic? Or is that a term only for cis lesbians and cis bi women?
Why or why not?
I’m alright with answers from anyone, even if you’re gendercrit. I’ll remain civil so long as you remain civil.
Heterosexual will suffice
Straight is a fitting term
No, It’s not.
But thanks for the input.
Trans women can never be lesbians. A male individual, regardless of gender identity, who likes female individuals exclusively is a heterosexual.
Many lesbians disagree with you.
Trans women are women, and they can be lesbians.
That doesn’t change just because you say so, hun.
But thanks for the input. Echo-chambers are annoying, so It’s nice to get different opinions on this.
“Many lesbians disagree with you”
Read: “I only hear and accept the opinions of women who agree with me 😋
*pretends to be shocked*
If that were the case, I would never have asked this.
But misconstruing truths is what transphobes do best, so thanks for not breaking the mold.
There are so many lesbians in this thread that have expressed they do not want you to use either and you’ve ignored every request. Your actions speak for themselves and they’re screaming at the top of their lungs. But not listening to women is what males do ;)
And I have said time and time again I AM NOT USING THE DAMN TERMS.
I can feel attracted to men, MEANING I AM NOT A LESBIAN.
I have specifically said that it is up to TRANS LESBIANS on whether or not they listen to you people or listen to the ones telling them it’s alright to use the terms.
So, I am not “ignoring” these women. I am debating their opinions. Which I am allowed to do.
So fuck off with your misconstruing bullshit.
You’re not ignoring them yet you literally call any lesbian who explains to you that they aren’t ok with it transphobic? 😋 Your debating it yet once a lesbian says that they should refer to themselves as straight/heterosexual your automatic reply is that they shouldn’t (no explanation)? People have even suggested simply saying something along the lines of “female attraction” instead. You aren’t debating shit you just want lesbians to agree with you and the trans narrative, only to play victim when people don’t.
Being a lesbian refers to females who are sexually attracted to other females, not straight males in dresses who feel like women. A definition shouldn’t be considered offensive
I call them transphobic for misgendering and the aggression behind their words.
If you’re going to call trans women men, you’re going to be called what you are: transphobic.
So fuck off with your bullshit. Misconstruing my intentions doesn’t change what’s actually happening.
Well you called me transphobic and I didn’t fucking “misgender” you so….
Like sweetie something ain’t adding up
Oh no, you just misconstrued my words, misconstrued the situation, and were overall rude.
And then, the topper, you expected me to remain civil while you did all this.
So, maybe not transphobe. But rude piece of shit.
If anyone’s misconstrued you, that’s your own fault. I just read the situation for what it is ;)
“Heterosexual” or “straight” should do.
