summary: you lock yourself in the storage closet to protect your friends
warnings: swearing, fighting, mentions of blood, angst bc that’s all I know how to write :)

You were on the floor, back pressed against the cold tile of the music room as you tried to fight a zombie off with your hands. The broomstick you previously held as a weapon had gotten lost in the fight and it was getting continuously harder to keep the zombie from biting.
The plan was to make it to the rooftop of the school and wait for help. But with all the zombies outside the classroom it was impossible to get out without a fight. Taking a risk, your group decided the best option was to leave anyways. You thought it was the best idea too, at first, but the zombies proved to be way harder to kill, and all the noise created from fighting them off only attracted more to come.
You pushed at the zombie’s shoulders and face, trying to push them off but they weren’t moving. The noise around you started to go quiet as you tried not to panic, wondering if this was really how you were going to die.
Suddenly the zombie let go of its hold over you and contorted backwards before falling to the side with a push. Cheongsan was quickly kneeling next you you, asking if you were okay. He had stabbed the zombie’s back with the sharp end of the broomstick and pushed it off you, saving you again.
You nodded lightly and he helped you stand up. Your hearing was coming back, but you still felt like you were in shock.
“There’s no more in the hallway right now,” Suhyeok said looking out the classroom door, “so we have to go now.” He turned back to look at the group and Cheongsan nodded at him.
“Cmon,” Cheongsan said, grabbing your arm to pull you close to him as he moved toward the door. But the shock was starting to wear off and your whole body began to ache, you didn’t move.
“Y/n,” he said turning around to see why you weren’t following. You were still, looking down at your hands.
There was a small bite mark on the back of your right hand. You stared at it, feeling like all your emotions were hitting you at once and your hands began to shake in fear. The zombie must have bitten you while you were pushing at its face, and you didn’t feel it until now, having come back to your senses.
Cheongsan followed your eyes to your hands.“Oh shit…” he said, reaching out to grab your hand for a better look.
You stepped back, not wanting him to touch you, the rest of the group turning to look. Your eyes were glossing over, making your vision blurry and you laughed nervously. Your hand was soon red with blood. You looked back up to see them all staring at you.
“It’s fine right?” you asked them, tears filling your eyes. You swallowed hard, trying to keep yourself from breaking down. No one could do anything to help you now.
You knew it was not fine and that the time between being bit and turning was short yet you couldn’t think of anything you wanted to say or what you should do next.
Everyone was watching you intensely. You wanted them to look away, to leave, but you were so scared and selfishly a little part of you wanted them to stay. Unable to find the right words you just stared back at them, hoping somebody else would say what you all were thinking.
“Y/n,” Onjo said, trying to get closer to comfort you, but Suhyeok put his hand out to stop her. It hurt, seeing your friends now scared to be around you, but it made you realize what you had to do.
“You have to go,” you said turning to Cheongsan, “you know, before the zombies come back…or….” You looked back at your bite mark then covered it with your other hand, trying to act as normal as possible before looking back up at him, “there probably isn’t a lot of time.”
“Y/n, no,” he said trying to move closer to you again.
You took another step back and shook your head no. “Go,” you said again, “okay?” You looked around and everybody was still just staring at you. With each passing moment of silence you only grew more anxious. Looking at them hurt too much, so you looked back at your hand.
“Fuck,” you said sighing. The defeat was evident in your voice as you fully began to accept what was happening.
Suhyeok looked back out into the hallway anxiously. “If we’re gonna go, we-“ he started.
“No,” Cheongsan interrupted, his face wet with tears. He wanted so badly just to hug you, for you to stop moving away, and he felt an enormous amount of guilt for not being able to protect you.
“No?” Woojin questioned, “we’re just supposed to stay here and wait for them bite us too?”
“Go,” you said, turning to Cheongsan, “…please.” You pressed your lips together and looked to the floor, trying your hardest not to break down into full sobs. Your vision started to turn red. Now panicking, you remembered the music room had a storage closet. If you locked yourself in there you wouldn’t be able to hurt them when you turned, it would force them to leave. You looked over to the closet door then back at the group.
“Shit…” Woojin said, seeing your now red eyes and moving backwards.
You tuned and looked at the closet door for another moment before quickly going and locking yourself inside.
“No, y/n,” Cheongsan sighed, following you to the closet. His eyes were puffy with tears, but you had already closed door. “Y/n,” he wined, twisting the door knob repeatedly in hopes it would open.
You watched the door knob shaking from the other side.
“Open the door y/n,” Cheongsan begged, his words becoming sobs, “y/n open the fucking door!”
He started using his fist to bang on the door, pleading with each hit that he could get to you. You went and sat against the wall, sobbing silently as you hugged your knees to your chest. Your heart began to beat faster and you knew you didn’t have much time. You wished Cheongsan would just go away and you wouldn’t have to hear his cries.
“Open the door, open the door, open the door!” Cheongsan cried, doing everything he could to try and break the door with his body.
“Hey!” Suhyeok yelled, looking back down the hallway, but he was ignored. Cheongsan continued to hit the door while everyone watched. “Hey!” Suhyeok yelled again and Cheongsan finally stopped long enough to look over at him.
“They’re coming,” Suhyeok said calmly. All the noise had attracted zombies from other floors. “We have to go…now,” he said.
“No,” Cheongsan cried, grabbing the door handle, “just go without me.”
“Cheongsan,” Onjo said, but he shook his head and continued holding onto the door handle.
Suhyeok looked down the hallway again. Two zombies from the floor above had heard Cheongsan and were now running tward the classroom. Suhyeok looked over to Cheongsan who was still refusing to move. Sighing, he decided closing the sliding classroom door was their only other option, they’d have to wait it out and try again. He pulled the door halfway when it suddenly stoped. Suhyeok pulled at the door but it kept jamming.
“It’s not closing,” he said causing the group to turn and look over at him. He stopped trying to close the door and stood to the side before picking up the bat he had been previously using as a weapon.
The room was quiet for a moment, then the sound of the zombies down the hallway became loud enough for them to hear.
“Shit,” Woojin said, walking over to Suhyeok and checking down the hallway himself, “shit I…there’s like 10…oh fuck, more are coming, Cheongsan I swear to god if we all-” he shook the sliding door, not believing that it wouldn’t close, “Damnit!” Everyone looked at the door in fear. Without warning Woojin went up to Cheongsan and pulled him away from the closet door. “Stop, let’s go before you get us all killed,” he said, looking around the group to get them to follow.
“No,” Cheongsan said, shaking his head and trying to get out of Woojin’s hold.
Seeing Woojin struggling, Suhyeok went and grabbed Cheongsan’s other arm with his free hand. “C’mon,” Suheyok said sternly, “we can’t afford to lose you too.”
Cheongsan looked over his shoulder at the closet door. You hadn’t said anything since you went inside. The silence hurt him, and he felt helpless, there was nothing more he could do.
Suhyeok let go to Cheongsan to look out the door again. “I can stop the first two long enough for you to run,” he said turning back to the group, “we’ll meet in the staircase okay?” Everyone but Cheongsan nodded.
Suhyeok looked down the hallway for another moment before running out. “Go!” he yelled to the others, signally them to get out of the classroom while they could. The group started to exit nervously. Cheongsan, feeling guilty for getting them into the situation, untimely went to help Suhyeok.
From the closet you could hear them fighting and their footsteps from running. Soon everything was quiet, and you were alone.
Summary: Gyeongsu invites you to Cheongsan’s family’s chicken restaurant but you’re vegetarian lmao
Warnings: none!
••••••
You had your headphones in, sweeping the floor by your desk after school. The other students from your class either working on their assigned jobs or fooling around. You weren’t super close with any of your classmates and mostly kept to yourself - always listening to your music.
You were in your own world when you suddenly felt a tap on your shoulder and took out one of your headphones.
“Hi!” Gyeongsu said excitedly.
“Hi,” you said smiling shyly.
“Hi!” he said again. There was a short awkward pause. “Oh, right so, me and my friends,” he turned around to show you Cheungsan and Onjo who were watching from their desks, “we’re going to Cheongsan’s chicken restaurant later…”
“Oh,” you said, a little surprised as to why he would want to tell you this.
“Yeah so, maybe you’d want to come with us?” he asked, giving you his biggest smile in hopes it would convince you to go.
“Oh,” you laughed shyly, “I’m actually a vegetarian.”
“A what?” he asked surprised, “so you don’t eat chicken?”
“No,” you laughed, shaking your head, “but if they have anything else I’d love-“
“Wait hold on!” he interrupted. He looked flustered, “this wasn’t in the script, hold on, wait hold on I’ll be right back.”
He turned and went quickly back to where Cheungsan and Onjo were waiting and you watched, fiddling with your headphone. You smiled as he ran back to you.
“Ok,” he said smiling, “Cheongsan said his mom makes really good bibimbap-“
“Really?” you asked excitedly, “vegetable bibimbap is my favorite!”
“Yes! So you’ll come?” he asked
“Mhm!” You said nodding. He turned to Cheongsan and Onjo and gave them a thumbs up. “When are you guys leaving?” you asked.
“Oh, uh, right now!” he said quickly moving to pick up the dustpan that was leaning against you desk on the floor. He knelt down by the pile of dirt you had previously swept and waited.
“Oh,” you said after figuring out what he was doing. You took out your other headphone and placed them on your desk before helping him finish your sweeping chore. When he went to go throw the trash away, you started packing up your school bag. “Are you sure we can leave now?” you asked when he returned, “weren’t you supposed to finish-“
“Ah, ya,“ he interrupted, “don’t worry about that, there’s more important things to do now.”
You laughed and put you backpack over one shoulder.
“Cmon,” he said, grabbing your forearm and leading you to where Cheongsan and Onjo were waiting. “Y/n, friends, friends, y/n” he said introducing you.
“We’re in the same class…” Cheongsan said awkwardly and you and Onjo laughed, “so we know who they are…”
“Hey,” Gyeongsu said feeling annoyed and embarrassed, punching Cheongsan’s arm.
“Let’s go,” Cheongsan said laughing, leading you all out of the classroom.
“So…” Gyeungsu said walking next to you, “you really don’t eat chicken?”
Summary: The one day you stay home from school is the day the world breaks out into a zombie apocalypse, lucky you :)

As you were putting your shoe on and walking out the door of your apartment, you noticed your friends weren’t waiting at their normal spot at the end of the hallway. You quickly checked the time on your phone, 7:51. You had nine minutes to try and get to school.
Annoyed, you looked over the hallway balcony and saw Gyeongsu and your friends running.
“Hey Han Gyeongsu!” you yelled before running to the stairs. Your friends normally waited for you before heading to school, but today you were extra late.
“Hurry up!” Gyeongsu yelled when he saw you come out of the stair well. You were thankful he heard you and waited.
You ran to catch up with him. “I’ll kill you if they give us detention,” he said and you punched his arm. “Hey! at least I actually waited,” he pouted.
The two of you started running together to try and catch up with the rest of your friends. “Right, thank you so much Gyeongsu!” you said mockingly, “how will I ever will I repay you!”
Now it was his turn to hit your arm and he rolled his eyes. “Next time I’m leaving your ass,” he joked.
You stopped running when you both reached the crosswalk across from the school, anxiously waiting for the cross walk to clear. You checked your phone again and it was 7:59, you had one minute before you’d get detention.
There were a lot of students waiting with you and when the the crosswalk finally cleared they all started running. To try and make you get detention Gyeongsu thought it’d be funny to make you trip. He pushed you lightly, making you run into another student and lose your balance.
“Hey!” you yelled, falling on the harsh asphalt. You looked up from the ground to see Gyeongsu still running. “Shit,” you whispered, standing up quickly but you were too late, you didn’t get to cross the street in time and waiting for it to clear again would mean you’d be late for sure.
You checked your palms to see them both skinned from trying to catch yourself. You then looked across the street and saw Gyeongsu smiling at you. He had managed to make it without signing in for detention and he found it funny that you didn’t, laughing and waving goodbye to you before turning and running into the school.
You looked back down at your your hands, then your knees which were scratched up. The bottom of your skirt was also partially ripped from your fall. It made you upset, you and Gyeongsu normally joked around, but you had an important presentation later today and you feared what your teacher would say if you showed up with a ripped uniform and skinned knees.
“Ahh shit,” you whispered again, trying to figure out what to do. You noticed the line of kids waiting to sign for detention and figured the teachers wouldn’t notice if you just went home. Your presentation wasn’t until after your lunch period, so you knew you’d have enough time to go back home, clean up, and change your uniform. Since you were getting detention anyway, it seemed like the best option.
•••••
When Gyeongsu got to the classroom he immediately went to see one of your other friends to tell them how funny it was that he got you detention. They laughed together, Gyeongsu checking the door periodically to see if you’d walk in. He wasn’t worried until your home room teacher came in and you still weren’t there. It never took you this long when you’d been late before, and the two of you had been late plenty of times.
“Y/n,” the teacher called out during roll.
“She’s here,” Gyeongsu said, “well…she’s coming.” Some of the students laughed, but no one really questioned it. You and Gyeongsu were always together so if anyone knew where you were it’d be him.
He texted you quickly to see what was taking you so long but you didn’t respond before the teacher collected everyone’s phones.
••••••
It was now halfway through first period and you still hadn’t showed up. Gyeongsu was feeling anxious, worrying that something could’ve happened to you after he left you at the crosswalk.
Suddenly your classmate Hyeonju walked in, taking him out of his thoughts. Her nose and head were bloody and she instantly fainted. Everyone rushed to check on her and she said the science teacher had locked her up in the science lab. Gyeungsu looked at Cheongsan worriedly. “He tried to kill me,” Hyeonju said.
Gyeongsu felt his heart drop, he worried the same thing could have happened to you earlier this morning, he wished he would have just waited.
The teacher took Suhyeok, Onjo, and Inak with her and Hyeonju to the nurses office. The room got eerily quiet.
“What the hell was that?” Cheongsan asked, sitting back down at his desk next to Gyeongsu.
“We have to find y/n,” Gyeongsu said, avoiding the question.
“I thought you said she was coming?” Cheongsan questioned.
Gyeongsu sighed, “I thought she was, she was right behind me when we walked in and it’s just…” he leaned closer to Cheongsan and looked at him worriedly again, “what if the same thing that happened to Hyeonju happened to y/n? What if that’s why she never showed up?”
“Don’t say that,” Cheongsan said.
“I don’t know,” Gyeongsu sighed, leaning back in his chair, “I tried texting her but Ms. Park took our phones before she responded.”
“It’s not like she’s never skipped class before,” Cheongsan tried to reason, “you’re probably overthinking it.”
“I know,” Gyeongsu said, “it’s just weird that she was right behind me before, and she normally tells me if she’s gonna skip...” He purposely left out the part of the story where he tripped you, feeling too guilty.
“What do you want to do?” Cheongsan asked, “Check the science lab?”
“Can we?”
“What if the science teacher’s in there?”
“What if y/n’s in there?” Gyeongsu interrupted.
Cheongsan sighed. “Fine,” he said, “but we have to be quick.”
••••••
It took you longer than normal to walk home, your knees hurting from your fall. You were thankful both your parents had left for work already and you wouldn’t be scolded for being home when you were supposed to be at school.
You dropped your backpack by the door and went straight to the bathroom to clean your wounds. It only hurt for a second and the bandaids looked at least a little better then the scratches.
After you were all cleaned up, you went to your room to change your skirt. By the time you were changed it was already 8:53. By the time you’d get back to school second period would have already started, and you didn’t want to walk in during the middle of the lesson so you figured you’d just wait and go in before your third period. This would give you enough time to get some food from the 7/11 that was close to your apartment. Anything would be better than the food in the cafeteria.
••••••
An ambulance passed by as you walked out of the 7/11. “Damn,” you said softly, opening up the candy bar you had just bought, “that could’ve been me.” You took a bite from the bar and sighed, “stupid Gyeongsu.”
You were about two blocks from the school when you noticed a student in your school’s uniform running in your direction. You recognized her to be Jisu, a freshman who lived in the same apartment complex as you. You hadn’t talked to her much, but she sometimes walked with your friends to school.
“Y/n!” she screamed when she saw you, running faster, “do you have your phone, I need your phone, give me your phone!” she begged.
You fumbled to get your phone out of your pocket and handed it to her. She furiously started dialing a number. “What’s wrong?” you asked, she was sobbing and you had never seen someone so frantic, “are you okay? Are you hurt?” you asked.
“Zombies!” she screamed, holding the phone to her ear.
“Zombies?” you questioned, “what do you mean zombies?”
“Zombies!” she screamed again “you know, like Train to Busan? Like zombie zombies!”
“Train to Busan..?” you questioned again. But she ignored you and started scream ranting to the person she called on your phone, explaining how there were kids at school who were turning into zombies. “Is this a prank?” you asked, pulling your phone away from her, “is Gyeongsu making you do this?”
“What? No!” she said reaching for the phone back, but you held it away from her. You could hear a woman talking frantically through the phone. “There’s zombies! Zombies! Please, what aren’t you getting?” she asked reaching for your phone again.
You still didn’t believe her but you gave her your phone back.
“Mom,” she sobbed, “you have to come home, please.” She was making you anxious. Zombies? At your school? It couldn’t be real.
You were watching her sob, waiting uncomfortably to get your phone back, when you noticed another student coming from the same direction Jisu had. Their arm dripping blood.
“Jisu,” they said, crying as they approached the two of you, “Jisu help me, please.”
Jisu swallowed hard, not knowing what to do. As the student got closer you noticed the mark on their arm looked like a bite.
“I’m scared!” they screamed, using their hand to cover the bite mark. Jisu just shook her head and started backing away.
The student’s nose started bleeding and you could only watch in shock.
“Help me,” they pleaded, turning to you. Their eyes had turned red. They took a step closer to you but you backed away, pulling Jisu’s arm so she could be closer to you. The student suddenly fell to the ground, their body cracking and contorting. It was like nothing you’d ever seen before. “Zombies…” you thought.
“Minsoo…” Jisu cried softly, watching her classmate turn in front of her.
Minsoo stood up slowly, their skin was pale and rigid, blood now coving their mouth.
“Minsoo…” Jisu said again, the woman on the phone now being ignored as you both watched Minsoo in fear.
Suddenly Minsoo charged at Jisu, making her scream and drop your phone. You moved away from them quickly, still watching as Minsoo grabbed Jisu and immediately bit her neck. Jisu screamed out in pain. You were still frozen with fear.
“Zombies…” you thought again, but the woman’s screams through your phone brought you back to your senses. You dropped your backpack and picked up your now cracked phone, ending the call and running back in the opposite direction which Minsoo and a Jisu had come from. Jisu’s screams died down and you could hear her body hit the sidewalk. You didn’t know what to do so you just ran, unsure of where you were going yet but you were too freaked out to think of a place.
“So zombies really were at school…” you thought, but your thoughts were soon interrupted by only one person, “Gyeongsu.” He was at school, and now there were zombies at school. You wondered if he knew already. You tried not to panic and decided to just run home, you’d call him when you get there.

“LEE CHEONGSAN!!!”
The sound made your heart drop.
“It’s Gwin am,” Cheongsan said standing up from his spot next to you. He grabbed a piece of metal from the ground to defend himself.
“That asshole never dies,” Daesu sighed.
You stood up slowly and everyone started to follow nervously. It had gotten quiet and the silence was only making you more anxious. Instinctively you reached for your boyfriend’s hand, looking at him with glossy eyes.
“It’s okay,” Cheongsan whispered, giving your hand a light squeeze before letting go. He could tell you were scared, he was too, but he wasn’t about to lose another friend over his fight.
“He’s coming,” Namra said softly taking a step back from the window. Suhyeok put his arm in front of her, pushing her toward the rest of the group for safety.
Though you couldn’t hear anything, you stared at the window intensely. Cheongsan took small steps toward the window, pulling the piece of metal back to swing.
You grabbed the back of his vest and gently pulled it to try and keep him from going any closer. He turned to you quickly and when your eyes met you shook your head no. You hated how willing he was to put himself in danger for the rest of the group when you just wanted him to be safe.
You hadn’t seen Gwi nam since the zombie apocalypse started, but you knew Cheongsan had fought him at least twice. Suhyeok had too and told you he was the one that bit Namra. It was terrifying, the idea that someone could be bitten but not turn. You were afraid of what that meant Gwi nam was capable of, and in no way did you want to find out.
Before Cheongsan could respond to you, the plastic window covering was pulled back harshly and you both turned to face the sound. The noise made you jump and let go of his vest. Cheongsan took more steps forward as Gwi nam leaned over the window frame.
“There you are,” Gwi nam said smirking. He looked horrifying with his left eye bloody and scarred. Cheongsan had told you what happened the time he saw Gwi nam get bit, but seeing him now was much worse than you imagined.
Cheongsan swung the piece of metal harshly at Gwi nam but missed, letting go of the metal and hearing it falling to the platform with a harsh noise. The momentum of his body pulled him forward and Gwi nam took the opportunity to push him to the ground. Gwi nam climed out the window and onto the platform of which your group was now huddled together on. He pressed his foot on Cheongsan’s chest and Cheongsan moaned out in pain.
“Stop it!” you pleaded weekly. Hari grabbed your arm to prevent you from pushing past the group to get to him. Suhyeok, who was the closest, tried to grab Gwi nam but it only resulted in him being pushed over the the platform, holding on the edge with his hands.
Minjin and Daesu immediately knelt down to help Suhyeok, giving you more room to escape from Hari’s hold on your arm. Gwi nam grabbed the front of Cheongsan’s shirt and pulled him up so they were both standing.
“Cheongsan!” you pleaded, tying again to pull away from Hari. Gwi nam turned and smiled at you, enjoying the fact that he could hurt Cheongsan in front of you. He let out a sly laugh and you watched his grip tighten. You hated him. Your fear turning into anger as you watched Gwi nam hold Cheongsan closer to the edge.
“Stop!” you pleaded again, shaking your arm harshly to get out of Hari’s hold, “let go of him!” You pushed your way to Gwi nam. You felt helpless and you were angry. Angry that he was hurting Cheongsan, angry that you had to fight someone who wasn’t even a zombie, and angry that your friends weren’t helping.
You quickly grabbed the piece of metal Cheongsan’s had dropped and pulled it back to swing. Gwi nam turned to you and removed one hand from his grip on Cheongsan. You tried to hit him with the metal but he easily grabbed the other end with his free hand. The motion forced you to let go and he threw the piece of metal over the edge.
You stood back, feeling exposed without a weapon and more scared. Gwi nam looked at you then laughed. Cheongsan was desperately trying to force Gwi nam’s hand off of him.
“Stupid,” Gwi nam laughed at you, “just like your little boyfriend.”
Cheongsan managed to reach one of his arm out to to slap Gwi nam who only smirked. You felt angry again.
“You ass,” you said harshly, narrowing your eyes at him and stepping forward again to grab him. Gwi nam threw Cheongsan back to the ground, pulled your arms off him and pushed them down.
“What was that?” Gwi nam asked, stepping to stand over you. Fear once again was taking over and you felt like you couldn’t move. He grabbed your neck harshly with both hands. “Say it again,” he said arrogantly, his fingers getting tighter around your neck as you reached your hands up to try and pry them.
Your eyes started getting watery, and your vision was blurring. Gwi nam let out a huffed laugh watching you struggle and you let out small sounds trying your hardest to breathe.
Suhyeok, who was now safely back on the platform, came to help you. He started pulling Gwi nam’s arms trying to get them off. Cheongsan stood up quickly, the only thing on his mind was getting Gwi nam off you, protecting you.
The two of them managed to get Gwi nam’s hands off of you and you fell to ground from exhaustion. Gwi nam screamed angrily and Suhyeok knelt down to see if you were okay.
Cheongsan and Gwi nam faced eachother once again. “Fuck,” Gwi nam said, shaking his hands out, “I’m gonna. Fucking. Kill you.”
Gwi nam grabbed the front of Cheongsan’s shirt again with one hand and held him close to the edge. Cheongsan reached out trying to grab at Gwi nam in any way. Using his free hand Gwi nam grabbed one of Cheongsan’s arms and twisted it making him moan out again in pain.
You grabbed your head to try and help the massive headache that was setting in. You tried blinking hard to get your vision clear again.
With Ceongsan’s arm still twisted in his hold Gwi nam looked at the group and smiled. He then bit down on Cheongsan’s forearm. The scream Cheongsan let out was loud enough to pull you back to your senses and though you didn’t know exactly what was happening you tried to stand up and get to him anyways. Suhyeok wouldn’t let you.
Laughing again, Gwi nam pushed Cheongsan up against the building. All you could hear was Cheongsan’s cries in agony.
“Stop,” you said weakly, your voice still hoarse from being choked. Your vision started blurring again from tears. You put your hands on Suhyeok shoulders, shaking them and begging him to let you stand up.
Suddenly a high pitched sound rang through the sky and you looked up to see multiple drones flying by. Gwi nam, who was more sensitive to the sound, lost his focus and let go of Cheongsan. He fell to his knees in pain and Cheongsan used the opportunity to push Gwi nam over the edge of the platform.
With Gwi nam finally gone, Suhyeok helped you stand up. “Are you okay?” he asked but you didn’t care, you pushed passed him to see Cheongsan who was now silently starting at the bite on his arm.
His arm looked really bad and blood seemed to be pouring out of the bite mark fast. You felt sick looking at him, his face blank as he looked at the bite, questioning what to do next.
“It’s okay,” you said nervously stepping closer to him, but he took a step backward to avoid you.
“No,” he said softly, never taking his eyes off his arm.
“It’s okay,” you said again, reaching out only for him to move away again. He used his hand to cover the bite mark and looked up at you. He didn’t say anything, but his eyes were glossed over and for the first time you thought he really looked scared.
“Y/n…” he said softly, shaking his head and looking back at this arm.
“I said it’s okay,” you said, feeling tears hit your cheeks. He just shook his head. Suhyeok reached out for your arm and started to pull you back.
“No,” you said, never taking your eyes off Cheongsan, “No, no, no, stop. It’s okay!” You we’re pleading now, too weak to fight Suhyeok’s hold and hating him for taking you farther away from Cheongsan.
Looking up from his arm, Cheongsan faced the group. “I will go,” he said strongly, “Suhyeok, take them to the first floor.”
“No!” you pleaded louder. Suhyeok tightened his grip as you tried to shake out of his hold. “No, no, no, no, no,” your pleads turned into sobs.
“Don’t…” Cheongsan said softly. Seeing you upset made leaving for him so much harder. “It’s okay,” he said. He thought of all the things he could say to you, all the things he wanted to say to you, but he didn’t want to make it any harder than it already was, “I’m okay.”
He nodded at the group and went to climb back into the building again before stopping himself and turning to you. “I’m okay,” he reassured you, “you’ll be okay.”
“No,” was all you could get out, you hated how strong he looked when you felt so scared.
“Be safe,” was the last thing he said before leaving.
