It seems very worn, the heads of most of the bristles broken off so that they are more jagged instead of rounded. Thick, medium legnth white hair still remain wrapped around the teeth of the brush, not much of a helpful hint as to who could own it.'

Now he doesn’t own a comb of his own, but the idea of using someone else’s hairbrush strikes him as a bit wrong.

Perhaps he’ll wash the hairs out later and try to resell it. And if he encounters Sucre, who he suspects it the original owner, then he will return it.

Zacharie picks it up, and for its size, it’s heavier than he expected. He turns it over, looking for any signs denoting make and model, but finds nothing. The cylinder is stuck and will not move, no matter how many ways Zacharie tries.

He gives up. It could be a collector’s item, at the very least.

Sucre opens her mouth to respond about his cat when she hears the change in his voice. Had he become sick? His voice sounded dry… Detective Sucre is on the case, taking it upon herself to step closer and try to examine him through his mask as if that will help. 

"Are you okay? Your voice sounded pretty weird :-(" she replied, making a soft tch and pressing a finger to her lips. “Well if you are sure that you are okay, I’d love to see your cat. I’ve only seen one other cat, I thought for awhile that there was only one other cat, but if you have one surly there must be more! Though for interesting things… I know how to dance. If we found somewhere with a easier, smoother ground I could teach you. Though if you are going to inch away I can’t teach you."

Even if the other had no mask on she would not have been able to pick up on any lewd signs the other would give her. She was completely clueless to anything of that nature despite her appearance or personality. Then again, she never really had anyone close enough to her that would ever suggest such a thing. Either way, it was something she was blissfully ignorant to.

"The cat's sort of mine," Zacharie amends. "He comes and goes. His name is Pablo and I do know he's mentioned a brother, so there must be more than one." He tries to force the awkwardness from his mind, all of it, and focuses on analyzing whether Sucre is speaking in euphemism. The horizontal tango or the upright kind to music? Zacharie is inclined to think the latter. "Sure?" He consciously uncurls the fist he had clenched in his pocket. Calm down, Zacharie, why don't you. "I can dance a little, but I'm not used to having a partner."

"Hmm, perhaps some new gloves would be nice. The ones I have are really old and dirty." you answer as you watch him looking through his pack. “Oh…?"

Well that’s something you don’t see too often. In fact it’s something you’ve only seen one or two times before. These kind of drinks are extremely rare to come by, and usually the guardians don’t allow it but… what the hell, having some while you’re not working should be fine. You’ll have to hide it very well hidden though, specially from your colleagues. You’re sure they’d start following you around if they saw you have a bottle of that.

"Indeed. Where did you find this?"

"You're in luck," Zacharie informs him, tugging a pair of paired gloves from a zippered pocket. One fingerless, because neither he nor the Rookie he often sells to appreciate calloused palms from practice swinging weapons around. The other pair are heavy leather, more suited to labor-intensive work. They may or may not be a little small (flexing his fingers in them isn't as easy as he'd like it to be, and he and this Elsen are built similarly in body), so he offers them with an invitation to, "Try them on."

Zacharie removes the bottle of rum from the pack and sets it down on the ground where it will not be disturbed. Then he stands. "From a friend," is all he gives in the way of enigmatic explanation.

"The gloves will be 60 credits if they fit. The drink, though... Like I said, it's very hard to come by. The whole bottle is 3000, but it will last you for a long time. Can I offer you a taste for 200?"
