Drivinglessons is a very funny ship if you think about it in Grace’s canon. Because wow, Driver really can’t have SHIT.
He decides to love again after the events of Irene and Benicio and then his new boyfriend gets shot up into space. It’s such a comedic jump in tragedy and it wasn’t even his fault this time.
I think a little family reunion turned playdate could be really cute!! Lars going to visit his cousins (Grace and Colt) for the first time in a lot of years and they end up all regressing and playing together <3

"God that ride was long."
Lars mumbles to himself as he cruises around the estate, looking for Colt's door number in the pitch black of the night. The street lamps didn't really help much, so he had to squint his eyes to see what he was looking at.
After a few minutes of searching, he finally found it. He lets out a long sigh and pulls into the driveway. Turning off the engine, he leans his head back against the seat, closing his eyes from relief.
He stays like that for a few minutes before forcing his eyes to open, his vision focusing in on the darkness. Lars steps out of the vehicle, moving to the booth to retrieve his bags and suitcase. If he goes on a multiple day car ride to see his family, you best believe that he is staying for at least two weeks.
Luckily, Colt had offered that he can stay as long as he wants. There wasn't a question on that matter. If his big cousin wanted to come over and stay, then he was going to have a room available for the rest of his life if he wants it.
Lars approaches the door and knocks politely, looking down at his feet as his hand absentmindedly thumbs at his blanket wrapped around his neck. He brings the corner to his cheek, rubbing it softly.
He's pulled out of his thoughts once he hears the door swing open. Looking up from the floor, he sees Colt with a beaming smile behind his pacifier, with a little Grace hidden behind him. A smile of his own forms on his face, and he steps in with his baggage.
"Lars! Rylie lookie! Lookie Lars is here!"
Ryland nods his head, looking up at Lars with big, glassy eyes.
It had been so long since he has seen this sight. He remembers coming over to his mom's sister's house to meet the twins. He can't recall the last time that he had seen them in person. Let alone regressed.
His brows knit together as he heaves the bags into the main room. He can deal with that later.
"Lars? Can we play? P'ease can we play racecars?"
Colt's voice beams loudly, tugging at his brother's sleeve as he does so.
The cousin looks around the sitting room, seeing the toys strewn around the rug, and a mellow cartoon playing on the big screen. The lights are dim, the couches are filled with soft blankets, and everything looks so enticing.
Lars just nods his head, undressing and taking his shoes off. It takes a bit more time because he's starting to get all clumsy, but he gets the job done.
Moving over to the rug, he props himself against the side of the couch. He takes his blankie and holds it in his lap instead of on his neck. It feels so nice, this all does.
The twins both sit down, and Colt hands his cousin a toy car. It looks too flashy to be fitted to Lars, but it doesn't matter. They scoot closer to the race track made with cardboard and a dream.
"Lars ima be a good guy and Rylie's gonna be a bad guy and you're gonna be a bad guy also. An' you have to catch me and pretend to be slow."
Lars smiles softly at the way the older twin talks. He complies and starts to follow Colt with his racecar, making noises for realistic effect. Grace is right next to him, accidentally falling off of the track because he got too distracted.
He can feel the fog in his brain creep up to him, and he lets it happen. It's nice to be small. And it's even better to be home.

Ngl I feel like tiny Simon would not take to Grace good at first. Sure, big him vaugely trust Grace to not hurt him/send him back (which, that in itself is huge since trust is difficult for Simon now) but tiny Simon?
Tiny Simon is just nudging himself into the smallest areas he can fit and sobbing for his mama because Grace is this "scary" man who is being really mean because he won't let him see his mama😭 (and well, Grace was a middle school teacher, not a primary/nursery one so, he doesn't exactly have the expertise to handle a tot/baby who severely misses their mommy, at least not yet waaa. Don't worry, Rocky's got this, Rocky fix!)
