(Update) Porque estou fazendo isso? / Why am I doing this?

O nome deste blog é "Comics With Imperfect Blacks" (algo como "Quadrinhos Com Pretos Imperfeitos" na tradução literal) devido ao efeito de degradação do papel jornal visível nas cores e na arte das páginas dos quadrinhos.
Aqui, celebramos as imperfeições dos quadrinhos brasileiros antigos, bem como as limitações do médio e as maneiras como os artistas envolvidos aproveitaram essas limitações para produzir algo incrível.
A maioria dos quadrinhos que você verá neste blog foram publicados pela Editora Abril durante as décadas de 80 e 90, porém também possuo alguns exemplares mais recentes da Panini publicados nos anos 2000s. Grande parte da minha coleção inclui histórias da Marvel e algumas da DC.

The name of this blog is “Comics With Imperfect Blacks” due to the degradation effect of newsprint visible in the colors and the artwork on the pages of the comics
Here, we celebrate the imperfections of old Brazilian comics, as well as the limitations of the medium and the ways in which the artists involved took advantage of these limitations to produce something incredible.
Most of the comics you'll see on this blog were published by Editora Abril during the 80s and 90s, but I also have some more recent issues of Panini published in the 2000s. A large part of my collection includes stories from Marvel and some from DC.
