It was Going to Be A Long Night...

Dressed in a plain black thieves uniform, she snuck quietly through the deranged gym leader's house. Her face was covered almost completely with a black sash and her hair neatly tucked away. Archie told her that this supposed lunatic was endangering the current operations in Johto. She couldn't see how, but her mission was clear. Sneak in, chloroform the guy and get him out. Afterwards, what she would do was really unclear. She supposed she would pen him up in her room at the base until she received further instruction.

After awhile of blundering around in the darkness, she managed to locate the room where Morty was sleeping. As she eased open the door, she peered through the blackness at his rail-thin form. The blond was completely unaware of her presence. She chuckled, pulling out the rag she'd soaked earlier. But, as she walked forward, she slipped suddenly, falling to her knee with a little yelp. She cursed under her breath, ducking down as she heard the man stir in his bed.

Firstly, since the explosion in the cave of Origin, and nearly drowning half of Hoenn's population, Archie aged dramatically. Hahahaha, he looks like he's 50 or something.

After a few hours of work...

Shelly was completely exhausted. She was breathing heavy, and her arms and legs hurt like hell. But she'd done it. In her hands, she held her pay for assisting the fish mongers at the docks. It was obvious that she reeked of fish, but her head was clear, and despite being tired, she felt good. Under the veil of her disguise, she didn't have to lurk in the shadows. It was....nice. A taste of a life she might've led...

That thought made her sad, and as she tucked the hard-earned cash into her pocket, she reflected on what Wallace had said. She wasn't about to have a guilty conscious before Christmas! Knight ran circled around her, excited from the days's events. She laughed at his enthusiasm.

"I can't get much, but I'll be able to get myself and gift and still give to the 'cause'." She murmured, fixing her hair back into a thick ponytail. She doubted where she stood more everyday. It was beginning to get her down. She decided that tomorrow she would stroll down the pier to see the lights for old times sake. Lillycove was beautiful during Christmas.
