"There's a lot of work," he admitted. "I have a responsibility as Commandant."

He rose from his desk, offering her his hand. "Shall we?"

"Oh Flynn~" she smiles. "It is a lovely day why are you still inside?"

"Estelle? Well, because I have a lot of--"

"... Good question. Would you care to take a walk with me?"

But whether you know him or not, do you have it in you Flynn? Could you do it? Could you kill him if you had to? What if Yuri doesn't come quietly? What if Yuri thinks what he's doing is right?

"If it came to be necessary, I would do whatever it took to bring him in. Is that what you wanted to hear?"

You realize one of these days Yuri's going to go too far, and you're going to have to be the one to bring him to justice.

"... I know. But I trust him to know his limits."

He was perched in the window before the blond had time to realize he was even there. Setting there, silently flipping through a book he’d snatched off of the soldier’s desk while he waited for his would-be kin to become aware of his presence.

Flynn had asked him to ‘meet him at his office’ and then he said something about ‘swallowing his pride’, so for course this got the vigilante’s attention.

It wasn’t often these days when he got a spare chance to visit the capital, let alone rest. Brave Vesperia was growing and a growing guild meant more and more jobs. However, even with the minor increase in members the leader of the blooming guild still really only trusted it’s core members.

That mean work, and lots of it.

Karol gave most of the work to him and Judith, and he spent the rest of his time training the new recruits in the ways of the Guild. The Capt’n was the Boss after all so it was only logical that Karol would insist on taking such a job, himself.

There had been talk floating about The Union about a month or so ago. Something about Leviathan’s Claw causing chaos with The Empire - but then again, Yuri wasn’t one to stick his nose into Yeager’s business unless he really needed to. He would prefer to keep distance from the Guild. While it’s leader was fine, the wolf couldn’t say he cared of the German’s less than sane associates.

Looking over the blond, his lips stretched out into a grin. The Commandant looked as if he would faint any second with the amount he was sweating. Was he really that worried about whatever was on his mind?

"So? What’s this all about?" He asked, breaking the silence, and snickering as he watched his brother jump in his chair. “Yer books are boring, Flynn… so why don’t we cut to the chase and just get right to business?"

He smiled, tossing the book forward to land back on the knight’s desk, right next to his arm. He could only assume what this was about, but the one thing Yuri knew for sure was it had to be serious if Flynn was dragging him into it.

His reflexes were still slow, Flynn noted. He should have been able to see Yuri coming. He was prepared, he should have--

But he put those thoughts away as he turned his chair toward Yuri, mind racing as to how to begin. He wasn't sure he'd get this far. Planning further ahead was a little beyond his emotional capacity.

Was there a single way he could phrase this that would make it sound favorable to Yuri? He had no plan B. If his brother refused his offer, Besides continue with what he was doing. Nothing would change. There was no one else he trusted with a task like this.

"... I need your help," was what he settled on. "The world is still recovering from the incident with the Adephagos. And I don't think I can fix it alone."

Already, there had been marked improvement in the Commandant. The color was slowly returning to his face, and he found he could keep more food down. Occasionally he even stepped out to do a patrol or two. Casey was right; it was incredibly helpful to be out in the field.

But there were things that still nagged on his mind. Still so much to be done.

He battered this idea back and forth for weeks, writing and re-writing letters over and over before finally throwing them away. He was well aware of the potential backfire, the potential fallout.

But for the good of his people, it was a choice he had to make. Or at least take up with Yuri.

He took his pen to paper one more time.

Flynn Scifo paced back and forth in front of his desk, keeping one anxious eye on the door and the other on the window. You never knew with that man.

Every second he waited was a second he regretted. Yuri would hate this idea, he would abuse it... But what choice did he have? Taking the weight off his shoulders remained crucial to his continued functioning.

And he needed him. More than anything.

Addressed to Yeager, guildmaster of Leviathan's Claw.

Yeager.

Recent events that have transpired require me to contact you and bring them to your attention. Judging by the fact that no further attacks have occurred, I would assume that it may not have been a direct command.

An agent of yours, a young man by the name of Zagi, broke into the castle and took me hostage, intending to bring me to your mansion. For what purpose I am unsure.

As the peace between the knights and the guilds is important to me and to the world, I do not want this to result in a conflict. So, I am reaching out to you now in an attempt to clear up what I hope is a misunderstanding.
