Caring for your plushcon or autoplush 101 - machine washing
Hello and welcome to this Plushcon and Autoplush care guide. In this section we will cover machine washing for exceptionally dirty plushies. Unfortunately it seems that our previous guide was not sufficient in helping Cybertronians stay clean or informing their human hosts. Because of that we have elected to revise our washing instructions.

Despite their protests, it has recently been discovered that the washing machine can be made safe for all plush cyberforms. However you must follow this guide closely. Please ignore any of their pleas or protests. They will only make this harder than it needs to be.
First, remove any coverings or accessories from your plushcon or autoplushie. This includes wings, tires, magnet accessories and weapons. They may also be washed but they still need to be removed and placed in the bag so as not to become tangled in the wash.
Next, remove their head. Reminder that this is a painless procedure and will not harm your plushie in any way. You may wish to repeat the accessory removed process for any glasses, eyepatches or hats your plush may have acquired.
Next step can be tricky. You must invert their internal neck. This section keeps their processor fluff inside their helm and allows them to turn their heads. However as it is a direct route to the processor fluff it needs to be sealed for the wash so that no fluff may escape.
Roll or fold your neck section so that is is tightly closed. You can close this section with a safety pin, fabric grips, a small tack stitch or even an elastic band. Anything that can be safely washed and removed easily after will do.
After sealing your plushies helm hole, locate a laundry bag. Place all the plush parts inside the bag and close it tightly. Assure your plush companion that all will be fine and this unpleasant ordeal will be over shortly.
As for wash settings, plushies must be washed on low, preferably 20-30 degrees Celsius. We must be careful not to shrink their plush metal or deform their skeleton. Please only use a small amount of washing powder or soap and NO fabric softener. If needs be a small about of biocide, stain remover or specialised soap may be used but please test on an inconspicuous spot first.
Congratulations! Both you and your Cybertronian have survived the ordeal of machine washing. Assuming your machine is functioning properly and has a spin cycle, they should be mostly dry already. Still it is important to allow your plush companion to dry completely before reassembly. Straighten out their bones and reposition their magnets if they have moved. You may also need to re fluff their helms like a pillow if it became lumpy in the wash.
Lastly, find a warm spot to rest your plush. They will need time to recover from this ordeal and dry completely. We at the cbic recommend a sunny window ledge or somewhere above a radiator. It is still not recommended to tumble dryer your plushcon as it is simply too hot for them to handle.
